- I traveled to one of the most famous hot spring cities in Japan and explored Beppu Jigoku.
If you love onsen or you want to try onsen, Beppu might be your future travel destination.
More information:
If you only want to see 3 or 4 jigoku, it’s cheaper to buy tickets separately
Kyushu trip started from Osaka. I took a cool overnight ferry to Kagoshima.

Thanks for watching
As much as I like the videos showing us different means of travel (the ferry ones are still my favorite! I still think it's crazy you have an hotel in there haha) I really appreciate the last ones where you've been showing us around the places and we get to experience traveling through your videos and see a bit of the food and the culture!
That said, thanks for taking us to hell with you! The trip there was more pleasant than what I expected haha!
👍🏼One Hell of a trip! 😉😅😎✌🏼
I really enjoy watching these videos at the end of the day, really helps to relax and unwind.
These are really great day trip ideas for both domestic and international travelers. Great content 👍
I always experience two things after I watch one of your videos, I’m hungry and I want to visit Japan. You make a very good ambassador to your beautiful country. Thank you for sharing your video.
Hello from Tokyo Japan ❤️
I miss travelling to Japan most these days. For now, your content is the closest I can get, so thanks very much!
that was a nice relaxing video. once again all the food you tried looked really delicious (good thing this time i watched this video before eating dinner lol). I would have picked the black pepper ice cream instead of the red. hopefully i can travel to japan next year.
This reminds me of Yellowstone National Park with all its hot springs, geysers, and mud pots.
I literally just watched every single one of your videos, and I have to thank you so much for distracting me from life's struggles.
I was in Japan doing all kinds of things with you, even for the briefest moment.
This channel is a gem, and I wish you all the best in your CZcams journey. I can't wait to see more and see this channel grow.
I love that you include google maps. Both for where the cities are as well as the route you are traveling. Makes it easier to find it yourself! Thank you =)
I really enjoy your videos! You show the different ways to travel with pricing, wonderful places to visit, and I really like how you translate for people like me. I also really like how you explain the different meals you eat. There are so many channels that don't translate anything so I do appreciate your effort in going above and beyond.
What a terrific style of documentary!
Fun, informative, peaceful!
No screaming narration, irritating music or self adoring facial close ups!
I often go to Beppu for work and love it there.
The people are very kind and polite.
Great food and hotels have outdoor pools and some open in winter!
Very enjoyable content!
Thanks!
I had to chuckle at "you can drink the hot springs??" moment.
Not sure of the popularity now, but "taking the waters" in Bath, England was considered a great restorative therapy. Not only did individuals bathe in the hot springs, but were also encouraged to drink the waters (from a separate location, I believe/hope).
Great video as always!
It's a faded industry nowadays (though some are still hanging on as tourist attractions), but that sort of thing used to be big, big business all over Europe and the United States. "Spa" is a common name for self-indulgent relaxation establishments because of the prominent example of the kind at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, and Vichy in France was famous for its springs before it became better known for worse things. Franklin Roosevelt died in his favorite spa town, the aptly named Warm Springs, Georgia. Time was, you could find anyone who was anyone in high society at one "water cure" resort or another.
(The water for drinking was usually taken from the source springs, upstream of where the rest of it would end up in the bathing pools, or from separate wells, depending on the establishment. They didn't just dip it out of the bathing pools. These places were basing their business on the appearance of hygiene, after all. :)
@@ZGryphon interesting! thank you!
I love the look of Japan 🇯🇵
I’m planning my honeymoon to Japan (one day when it’s safer to travel) and your videos are helping me figure out where I want to go!
Just got home from work and this video was waiting. What a great way to unwind!
"Tattoo friendly Onsen" thats all I ever need to know! YEAH!
Ahhh.. Hell is actually quite beautiful 😄 Great video again... Your channel has become part of my evening routine to unwind after a long day. Thank you ❤
I love hot spring. So relaxing.
I really enjoy your videos. I find it fun to live translate all the Japanese using the camerafunction of Google Translate. It's nice to be able to read e.g. menus that way.
I've always wondered what a real onsen would look like, thanks for sharing!
USA 🇺🇸 PITTSBURGH ,PENNSYLVANIA
ABSOLUTELY INJOYABLE. 😊
EVERYTHING LOOKS SO CLEAN . ESPECIALLY THE STREETS. VERY IMPRESSED. 👍
THANKS 😊
Awsome place...👍😎
Japan really does have an excellent public transport network.
At least you met a bus driver with a sense of humour instead of hell girl (from the anime)...😊😁
Beppu is lovely! Too bad you didn't go to all 7 jigoku.
The ice cream looked delicious so was lunch!
I like that the ticket got discounts from the bus pass and an entry to all 7.
Thank you for sharing with us your journey, can't wait for the next leg, another ferry! 😀👍🏽👍🏽🍚
Looking forward to it very much!
Your videos explain why I enjoy exploring Japan and why i keep coming back. Please go on and make my mouth water....
Wow, you were only in Beppu for a few hours. You didn't stay overnight. I'm looking forward to seeing your ferry trip to Osaka...
what a beautiful place..thanks for taking us on a virtual trip haha
I enjoyed the look at hell :)
Thanks for sharing! I look forward to the next video 😊
A great series of videos for retired single men such as myself. I don't mind traveling alone--no discussions about what to do, where to go, when, etc. Just DO it! BTW a "fitting room" is in a store where you try on clothing to see if it "fits" (don't forget to take off your shoes!). A "changing room" is where you remove your clothes, and if it is a large area, a "locker room", as in a large onsen, or sports facility.
I really like watching your videos. They are so relaxing. I cannot afford to travel so far away, so it’s like I can travel through these videos.
I laughed at your hell jokes ✌️✌️✌️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hello from Macon, Georgia, USA! Thank you so much for the wonderful videos! I really enjoy travelling along with you! Safe Travels!
The private onsen bath was very nice - what a treat! And your dinner looked delicious.
Every jigoku has its sharmed, and being at the onsen was your reward, all the meals you tasted makes me hungry , thanks for sharing

Great video! Always want to see more of your travels! Take care!
That red pepper ice-cream looked and sounded interesting, to be fair.
Also, 80C water? It tasted like scalding hot. That's all. SCALDING. HOT. =P
Love your channel, so relaxing!
Amazing video as always
That was amazing! I really enjoyed it, thank you so much!
Great video (as always) thank you for the close-ups of the food.
Omg. I went to university in Beppu and lived there for 4 years. In the video at 1:48 when you were looking for the bus stop, I just really wanted to jump inside my screen and show you where the bus stop was. ;____; I miss Beppu a lot, it's the coziest city in Japan
I could watch this all day!
It's fun! And very informative 👍 Solo Travel Japan let's go 100K soon!

Your travel videos are amazing. Whenever japan opens up for tourists, I definitely wanna try some of the things you did.
Love your style of videos. Especially the details you add like showing the location on the map, showing the prices, and showing the transportation routes.
Great content😊
It’s all so beautiful😍
Reminds me of the adventures of Ash and Pikachu going on ferries, buses and trains and exploring the variety of landscapes and food🤩

The springs was beautiful
Anyone else watch the bath getting filled and immediately think of Spirited Away with the bath tokens and the boiler man sending the water? It made me kind of happy inside.

Absolutely fascinating and one of the most beautiful locations I have seen. I can see why Japan is famous for people living a long, healthy life. 😃
Awesome video! I cannot wait for the ferry video! Both my girlfriend and I love watching your ferry and train videos
I know right?! They are like mini cruises
Thank you for including google maps and even bus routes. That makes planning trips (I want to do that onsen!) much easier.
