I like that sometimes you "talk" (well, give us subtitles) in the video as if we're there with you haha "we'll meet at Hakata station and then we'll go to Ichiran" feels a bit more personal.
My favorite part weirdly enough gotta be the furin, absolutely loved the sound they make!!!
Note to self: don't watch food videos while hungry. Now I want ramen hahahahaha

I've enjoyed the fact that you love to eat, and seeing all of the dishes you get. This was enjoyable because I got to see some dishes I had never heard of and get a description and review from you. More of these will be appreciated. Also, any unique aspects of the cities/areas you visit would be interesting as well.
I wish I could get as excited about anything as this guy gets over eating, life must be such a blast for people like this lol
My girlfriend definitely appreciated the focus on the food. That’s always her favorite part of your videos. Keep up the great work!
The chicken hotpot dish seems like it would be wonderful on a cold, rainy day, or for when you aren’t feeling good. Comfort food. My favorite Japanese food is tempura.
Your favorite Japanese food is Portuguese 🇵🇹
Your channel is a part of my life's routine. Every time you drop a video, I would watch it from start to end. It's always a great pleasure to travel with you. Thanks! : )
This channel was in my home feed and I’m so glad I clicked on the video. This is such a unique and creative way to make content and I never would’ve guessed that watching quiet videos of ferry trips and food would become one of my favorite ways to relax. Thank you for sharing your cool life with us and many thanks for the great videos!
I am unable to travel because of medical problems but I love watching these videos because it feels like I am right there with you! Thanks for making my life a little bit better! Stay safe and have fun! Blessings!
Hugs 🤗
Perfect way to relax after a tough day! Thank you for taking us along with you on these trips!
Ichiran's store design is actually pretty well suited to handle covid prevention.
Maybe I haven’t see the whole country of Japan, but so far, it’s the cleanest country I’ve known; also, I love the food as well!
It really is quite clean, especially compared to neighboring South Korea which doesn't do a very good job with waste management, which I lived in for 5 years. I recall walking the streets of Ginza and the streets were spotless with not even a hint of trash.
Singapore is supposed to be spotless too.
What a great video!! Two months ago I started watching your videos. I was really amazed at the way you make your videos. I really love them. I've also seen other people who try to imitate your style with no success. You're the best!
My daughter and I LOVE sushi the best but your food adventures really give me life.
Your videos bring me so much peace. Honestly. Thank you so much
The setup at Ichiran is odd, but kind of magical. I love the idea of a place where you sit in something like a library nook, press a button, the wall opens up, and mysterious hands give you noodles. :)
I love to watch you eat! The food looks so delicious. Thanks for letting us accompany you.
It's not fancy, but it is very good: I love zaru soba. It's easy to make, it's not very expensive, and it is by far one of the best cold-noodle dishes around, to me. Just boiled buckwheat soba noodles chilled, then laid out on that cute little bamboo mat with green onion bits and crispy little nori strips on top. The ritual of getting a portion in chopsticks, anointing it with the delicious soba sauce, and slurping that taste up is oddly soothing and satisfying to me, all at once.
Thank you for the amazing content
At 13:12 "I'm a big fun...." should be "I'm a big fan...". I wish I could go to all these places you travel to.
These videos of you are always relaxing and interesting. Thank you!
I wish I can go to Japan now 😢😢, Enjoy ur content its really calm me down
My favorite thing is the Ferry rides, and the travel routes are so fun to see. The food is also great to see in your videos! I would watch either.
I've always wanted to go to Fukuoka. Hopefully I can once this issue is over and it is safe to travel again🤞
I so enjoy your videos. It’s my dream to visit Japan one day, but for now, I love following you on your adventures. Bluefin nigiri has always been my favorite, but I tried tonkatsu curry for the first time because of your videos and absolutely loved it. It might be my new favorite!
love the food parts especially but the rest is awesome too japan is truly fascinating
Ramen is my favorite Japanese food and Ichiran is the best! Thank you for your videos, it makes the long wait of being able to visit Japan again, less agonizing!
Ichiran is pretty darn good. I like that you can customize your order in lots of ways.
Also- that last Irchiran in the airport was pretty spacious. The ones in Tokyo are super cramped lol.
I miss guidon, tonkatsu curry, jagaimo, and Japanese potato salad.
I love Fukuoka! I visited in October 2018, and my favorite food I ate there was black boar curry! It was absolutely delicious, but I don't remember the shop name lol
Oh, how I miss Fukuoka! Thank you for keeping my memories alive!
I always make it a must to eat ichiran ramen whenever I visit Japan.
LOVED the furin! So pretty sounding. I bet I could sit or stand there a long time just relaxing to that sound.
I've watched all your videos. I hit play the moment I see a new video from you. I like your stuff better than other similar Japan travel videos. It's relaxing, highly informative, ASMR-ish, and what sets you apart I feel is your personality + humour shines through despite the lack of actual talking. And I love how you're a foodie too! It feels like I'm traveling with an old friend. Thank you for sharing these experiences with us, especially when many of us can't travel now. Looking forward to seeing much more content from you :)
“This is the main / (The last one was appetizer)”
🤣
This is such a wonderful format! I love that you love to eat! Can't wait to see where you take us next!
Watching at three o clock in the night.. lovely. Wish i was there. Love your films .
The chicken hotpot could almost be Eastern European. It kind of looks like the food you get in countries like Romania. It’s fascinating to see all the individual little dishes. Very enjoyable!
Another great video - love the variety you’re giving us with these!
I zeroed in on the cabbage and okra, I really want them now.
I'm happy that we have Ichiran here in Southern California.
I’m soooo jealous!
Love your videos! I feel like I’m right there with you. Thanks for sharing your trips!!
Been thoroughly enjoying your videos! So many great places and so much great food.
FUKUOKA! This was where I stayed my first and last night in Japan! Augh, I really wish I could have gotten to see more of it, but I did see that Sea Hawks stadium and the mall nearby, those were super cool. That Namco arcade was also wonderful to me!
Thank you for taking us along with you. Enjoyed watching you enjoying those delicious dishes. Always a pleasure watching your vlogs. Thank you 🙏
My favorite Japanese Foods are: Spicy Ramen, White Tuna Sashimi, and Miso Soup.
Love your videos! I enjoyed seeing the food destinations too, thank you!
Loved your personal experience, description and location of great, local Japanese foods. I'll get there again. Thank you for keeping it alive.
Looking forward to your videos. I keep watching your other videos on repeat FOR the food - so imagine my delight at watching a video that focused on food! Very happy!
Wow! That was a very good video! I enjoy watching how you detail the dishes you are about to eat. They look so tasty! Nice walk to the shrine. A lovely place. Thank you for taking us with you. 😃
This!! This is the vlog I’m waiting for and it did not disappoint 🥺 I’m so interested in Fukuoka so seeing it as your content today makes me so happy 🥰
It’s really nice to see local houses too! I wonder how you don’t even make a sound when you said that local specialty was so hot 😭
Very good food,
Enjoyed this video and the scenery along the way
Thanks
Thank you for sharing your travels! Everything looks very interesting and incredibly delicious.
I've watched several of your videos now for trip planning and I have to say I'm thoroughly enjoying all of them now just for fun! I love the way you gently tell the story of your travels through subtitle and video. The thoughtful tone absolutely compliments the locations and brings me back to the very short time we spent in Japan. Can't wait to go back this year!
i'm so glad there's a short form travel blog like this, as i'm visiting fukuoka for a really short time & seeing your fukuoka travel blog makes me think i can definitely do something fun while there
I’ve seen Ichiran before in other CZcams videos so it was cool to see it again from your perspective! Thank you as always for the video :)
I love your videos, they are so interesting and the fact you don’t talk over them makes them really calming.
I love all your food related videos, please keep them coming on your food tour...
I enjoy your videos so much. Everything is interesting and I love to see the food!!😁😁
I love all your videos but this one might be my favorite so far! Thank you for documenting your adventures, and keep up the great work! And favorite Japanese food has to be tonkatsu.
Wonderful, just love your videos 😊. Now hoping to visit Japan when possible.
thank you for the English subtitles, I really appreciate the journey you take us on. love these videos so much!!! this place is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!
Your videos have become a balm for my soul. They are so pleasant and interesting. If I ever visit Japan, a lot of it will have to do with your videos.
I love seeing your food ones. I owe you a massive thanks as because of your videos I have booked a trip to Japan! It is a country I have wanted to visit for a while and your videos gave me the nudge.
As a die hard fan of all soups, you have no idea how blessed this video is to me T_T I can practically smell the green onion chicken broth from my screen...
I love your travel plans and food choices 💕
I love all of your travel videos!! I've watched them all :)
Your videos are amazing, it helps me a lot to get motivated too! I would like to see more train videos too, but every video from you is enough for me. Big hug!
Wow your videos are so amazing!! I'm still waiting for the day to travel to Japan!!
Aw this brought back memories of my own solo trip to Fukuoka. I went to the same Ichiran store!! Thank you for creating so many wonderful videos lately - they have really given me something to look forward to while my city is back in lockdown again ❤️
I love your videos 😻 they're all awesome , I look forward to the next one, so many amazing adventures and wonderful places you visit or stay at 🤗
I love traveling with you through your videos. I'm amazed at all the travel & sleep choices you have in Japan. I love seeing the different food choices you make...and how much you can eat! Tonight, I had dinner with you, though I was having a jerk chicken patty (Jamaican food). Usually, your videos make me hungry. It has inspired Asian cabbage and chicken (or salmon) rolls, raman, and spicy noodle dinners.Have fun and thanks for making these videos. Keep up the good work.
I love your videos, please keep up the great work! My favourite meal I've had in Japan was shabu shabu.
I miss japan... and all the fun things there, and the kani cream croquette I had before... wish all this be over soon so I can go again
The way the bowl was still bubbling when it got to you made it look even yummier
Excellent video. You make it like we are with you and I love that. Keep up the good work!
Hello from Las Vegas, Nevada, USA💕
Hi, this is the first video from your channel I watch and I just love it ! 😀 I like your way of filming because I get the feeling that I am experiencing your adventure in real life. I also love your practical explanations and particularly your way of explaining each food by showing concretely the ingredients inside. 😄
Anyway, Fukuoka is a very nice city on Kyûshû that provides lots of attraction like shopping and restaurants. The proximity of the airport and the connection with buses and trains is prefect. 😃 Dazaifu is definitively worth seeing through the beauty and richness of its culture and patrimony. Finally, my favourite food is Mizutaki gozen in this video. ☺
Thanks for this wonderful video and I am excited to watch all your other adventures ! 😀
Arigatou gozaimashita to soredewa ! 😄👋🏻
Ooh the Tonkatsu looked so good! My favorite food is a bento lunch type box served in the local japanese restaurant. Green tea, Salad, tempura, rice, sushi and miso and green tea ice cream!
I LOVE the foods in your videos as much as the travel. I like the different modes of stay your choose, not just the different modes of travel. I've loved seeing the capsule accommodations, the tatami mat cabins and everything in between! Makes me want to travel on ferries if I ever go to Japan! I do so like the vending machines on the ferries too! I've always been fascinated by vending machines....kek
Thank you for the video!
I lived in Fukuoka briefly and, since I passed through Hakata Station twice a day, I often stopped there for a meal. This video reminds me why I loved the city, the station, and the food. Thanks for this lovely video.
Bro can you please make luxury bus journey in your style please
I really love your videos! This one was very delicious too and I loved the Shrine and gardens. I am ignorant of a lot of Japanese food but what you show looks yummy.
Thanks for showing the train view of the buildings so close to the train. Really miss that abt Japan.
very interesting. thanks for the video. I probably have to check your channel more often.
The furin at the shrine really makes people who hear it feel cooler. When I first hear it at the scene of the gate of the shrine, my first thought was "wow the sound makes me feel the breeze" idk if that make sense😂 then the scene changes to all of the furin hanging and the explanation of it and I'm even more amazed by it because it's true🥺
p.s. in need of a furin ASAP 😗
edit: My favourite part gotta be when you're trying to divide the umegae mochi but it's too hot and so you point the camera towards the people walking peacefully while you are having a fight with the hot mochi😂😂
i love your appetite and appreciation for food
I enjoyed all your videos and it makes me want to go back to Japan and explore other cities besides Tokyo or Osaka
I enjoyed your video!! I hope you had safe travel back to Tokyo!
thanks for the new video, I like Dazaifu which is relaxing and easy to access from down town~~~
My favorite Japanese 🇯🇵 food is hands down, Sashimi 😋. Thank you for another fascinating video, Mr. Solo! 💕
Thank you for another great video. Please keeping it coming. Much appreciation and support from California, USA 🇺🇸 ❤
Fukuoka is so easy to navigate! And the quick train ride from Hakata Station to the Airport terminal still blows my mind. Thanks for the mizutaki reco - gonna bring my friends there next time we're in Japan!
I’ve only just discovered your channel and have already watched four videos. It’s refreshing to watch videos that don’t have excessive chatter or music.
Just found this channel and just had to say it’s awesome!!! Really makes me wish I can travel to Japan one day.
Thank you again for another relaxing video ( and it's also good for Japanese listening practice!) Favourite Japanese foods are usually Okonomiyaki (Osaka style), Zaru soba , Agedashi Tofu and Wagashi! ( especially monaka and yokan, although mochi is a major comfort food. There's is something about the texture of mochi that is very calming.) The hotpot that you ate looked so delicious - and the detail that many places place on their condiments is also amazing...
Hello, Solo-san. I still thank you for bring us with you on your adventures though traveling and food experiences. I would like to try Ichiran if I can make it to Japan in the future; the food looks tasty and delicious.
love the original ramen of ippudo.
tried the night stalls along the riverbanks but we were in a hurry so we were there just to grab a bite and eventually have an early rest thus we didn't really get to enjoy the food.
Watching this has made me so hungry in the morning, everything looks delicious! I'd love to go to Japan and try some of it one day!
I miss Japan so much..was at Fukuoka last November 2019🥲 your video took me back at that very moment😭
@solotraveljapan thank you for all your beautiful channels, your humour, your love of life sharing this all. I am dying from medication damage, abandoned by medical world at home. My love and passion of life was cut short.
I am so grateful to your channels. Especially ones visiting spas and lookouts and more. I also wanted to get to Japan, through your eyes and travels you made that possible. Thank you kind sir.
May your life be enriched by health, prosperity, peace and happiness ❤ with love from Mary-Ann, Australia 🇦🇺
Came late to see this one but as always, a nice virtual trip, hope you are doing good mate 👍
Takoyaki and gyozas are my favorites. TY for taking us with you! :-)
Fukuoka is such a charming city and yes we discovered Ichiran Ramen in Fukuoka too!! 🥰🥰
