Even with all of it's glaring flaws, I really love "Fate/Stay Night". This ending almost choked me up as much as "Fullmetal Alchemist" did, that's saying a lot. I was and still am really attached to these characters.
Indeed, I'm rewriting my story right now as I got writers block for a spot that I had forgot to write into the plot line(plot gap.) But the new version is definitely going to be better. Plus I found a way to bring the two even closer. I can't wait to have the time to write it out. :D

The F/SN 2006 has the best soundtrack fitting for Fate route, if they ever remake the Fate route, I hope they will include the original soundtrack from 2006 anime, and also, add the true end epilogue scene from the realta nua.

Man, this adaptation was awful...they replaced entire scenes and critical informations about Artoria to mix this route with the other two. The story was still enjoyable because the source material was good, but as an adaptation it really failed
Studio deen take the blame of having awful animation. Blame the first movie that flop so hard and thus no budget for s3. Studio deen has created a decent amount of anime with good animation.

I'll always have a soft spot for this series since it introduced me to the franchise. The visuals may not age as well as Ufotable in terms of visuals, it hits the story beats where it counts.

Because shirou wasnt selfish , his love for saber is true and kind , setting her free instead of keeping her beside him which would have saber repeat the endless war again and again ....
All I really want is to see saber and shirou in avalon animated.. They just simply just cannot end it at “this sleep will take longer” or something like that

This is a beauty that Fate/zero fanboys will never appreciate. Fate/zero was an evolution or another side of a story. But everyone that started with Zero and after that went to the Stay Night will never appreciate the beauty of it. They just want shiny shit happening on screen 24/7. They never had to wait years for another fate animation to come also, so they are quick to judge.

While it does have the added bonus of god-tier animation and essentially a film budget, the true highlight of Zero is the plot and characters. The added level of complexity and the overall development is just done so outstandingly well. Fate 2006, despite suffering from many flaws, is still a very enjoyable anime, just can't really compare to Zero
Fate/Zero as an anime is by far the best Fate, the maturity of its plot and characters are on a completely different level, its storytelling continuosly involves every Master and makes you "live" the story as a real battle royale, you become aware of the ideals and the intentions of each character and you can cheer for the one that fits you the most instead of just watching the 2/3 protagoinsts doing 90% of the fights. Also the plot it's pretty dark, it isn't an anime that you watch if you just want "shiny shit happening". Nevertheless I have to say that, even if Fate/Stay Night 2006 is not a good adaptation of the Fate route, its last episode (this episode) is probably the best in the whole series

Arturia and Shirou may have not known each other as long as Sakura and Shirou, but within the 2 weeks they were together, they experienced more with each other than most lovers experience in a life time. Arturia + Shirou = Best End. Tragic, yet beautiful.

@Doomed100 That and I felt you could finally relate to Shirou, he was finally brought down to a more human level, he loses all of his odeals of being a hero, he acts selfishly, he loses in turn each person who supported him before, and is seemingly all alone and struggling through it, trying to understand a power that will destroy him if he uses it, and his enemy is now the one he loves. Not knocking the other two, but I just felt the pure emotional impact of that storyline was the best to me.

You can say what you want about DEEN Fate. Please, go ahead. It has problems. It tries to do way too damned much, it should have just stuck to adapting Fate arc with whatever changes it had to make (never remove Archer's final stand though, that scene cements my love of EMIYA to this day.) But it brought me into Fate, damnit. It showed me this vibrant world of modern magic, where legends explode to life in front of you. And when this song played, and I knew this journey was done, I admit I cried a bit. Then I found the rest, because this just left me needing MORE. Never shame your origins, even if they're rough. DEEN Fate/stay night will remain a favorite of mine. Despite its flaws.

I have now noticed people saying that they suck souls only for the origin, for example, my Italian friends say they do suck the souls because they are the only Japanese and insist so much that they say that Dragon Ball is not a anime ... I now know that people look at the only souls for graphics and the fighting and after they labeled an anime for "Ugly" never change their minds just to have started badly ... Take this example has a graphical not excellent for the simple reason that it is 2006 and they say it sucks the cock while on the other hand ... is the best of all the Dragon Ball also for me, because here you can feel the most sincere feeling of love that will be obtained only the death of both

Not going to lie - First time watching F/SN was a few years ago when i was 23. The ending of the fate route is beautiful but as a die hard Shire/Saber OTP shipper i found it incredibly sad - and out of nowhere this ending ... onion cutting ninjas appeared nearly interesting - pay attention to the translated lyrics, this is a damn powerful song.

@Doomed100 That and I felt you could finally relate to Shirou, he was finally brought down to a more human level, he loses all of his odeals of being a hero, he acts selfishly, he loses in turn each person who supported him before, and is seemingly all alone and struggling through it, trying to understand a power that will destroy him if he uses it, and his enemy is now the one he loves. Not knocking the other two, but I just felt the pure emotional impact of that storyline was the best to me.
Why do some people say the anime version of fate route sucks? So far ive read the vn and watched the anime,the adaptation was pretty good. And the anime still left me feeling sad as heck

6 years ago the 1st time i saw this i cried to sleep for so many days...and went into a depression...and now...why did i have to see this....i just found out about fate zero...and apprantly its fighting and plot is legendary.....gonna start watching it now :')

You can say what you want about DEEN Fate. Please, go ahead. It has problems. It tries to do way too damned much, it should have just stuck to adapting Fate arc with whatever changes it had to make (never remove Archer's final stand though, that scene cements my love of EMIYA to this day.)
But it brought me into Fate, damnit. It showed me this vibrant world of modern magic, where legends explode to life in front of you.
And when this song played, and I knew this journey was done, I admit I cried a bit. Then I found the rest, because this just left me needing MORE.
Never shame your origins, even if they're rough. DEEN Fate/stay night will remain a favorite of mine. Despite its flaws.

I have now noticed people saying that they suck souls only for the origin, for example, my Italian friends say they do suck the souls because they are the only Japanese and insist so much that they say that Dragon Ball is not a anime ... I now know that people look at the only souls for graphics and the fighting and after they labeled an anime for "Ugly" never change their minds just to have started badly ... Take this example has a graphical not excellent for the simple reason that it is 2006 and they say it sucks the cock while on the other hand ... is the best of all the Dragon Ball also for me, because here you can feel the most sincere feeling of love that will be obtained only the death of both
All i wish for fate/stay night plot is just one thing make end credits where saber meet shiro again, giving us hope that shiro has a chance to be with saber 😩

Not going to lie - First time watching F/SN was a few years ago when i was 23. The ending of the fate route is beautiful but as a die hard Shire/Saber OTP shipper i found it incredibly sad - and out of nowhere this ending ... onion cutting ninjas appeared nearly interesting - pay attention to the translated lyrics, this is a damn powerful song.
