And it is hinted all along with the absurd regeneration ability of Shirou, that something miraculous was within him. And there are no answers more satisfying than the legendary scabbard of Excalibur itself.
It is a well written plot. And Fate route has the most satisfying ending of all three in my opinion, that concludes the redemption of Saber (remember when Shirou said that he was going to succeed Kiritsugu's dream, a ray shined on the sorrowful Saber), and the business with Gilgamesh and Kiri. Both Saber and Shirou finally defeated their nemesis and ended the Grail war in the light of the dawn. With Artoria finally getting the peace she longed for.

What is awesome is the fact that even in 2021, despite that a lot of OP characters has been added to the Nasuverse, Avalon is still overcheated as ever.
It is said to be the only thing that defends against even the 5 True Magics, AKA the greatest hacks in the nasuverse. Absolutely broken.
I would say the greatest of Noble Phantasms in general. Really that thing is OP as fuck

Ladies and Gentlemen: Avalon, the fucking most powerful and broken Noble Phantasm in the entire Fate franchise.
And UBW Shirou good end still have Avalon due to have Saber with him.
What can happen if he develops a strong connection with Saber? I mean, they will be together by many many years.
Hell, it isn't even a noble phantasm - if it was,, I suspect it would be much weaker just because of the limitations inherent to Heroic Spirits. This is the original copy of something which was already a transcendent miracle during the height of the Age of Gods, an artifact so powerful that it remained functional into the modern era with zero effort put into its preservation. It was buried under a church. Rhongomyniad, by contrast, *also* one of the most powerful objects on the planet, requires a powerful and complex mystic code to keep itself from losing its mystery and Excalibur's on the reverse side for its own sake.

Arthurian Myth wasn't the height of Age of God's.
If anything, it was the twilight of Age of God's.
The only place were AOG persisted longer was Japan.

After fate/zero, it's VERY satisfying to see kirei get stabbed with the dagger he used to kill rin's father and then get punched for good measure. Can't wait for remake in the fall!!!!!

@GuardianSoulBlade To some degree sure, but... In Fate/Zero, yeah, he was nasty to Saber, but he was quite civil, even friendly with Rider(Iskandar). Saber to him was at best, an amusing toy; he was bent on crushing her dreams and will simply because her power, ideals, and defiance amused him. Here, in his final moments, he seems to be almost redeemable, acknowledging that Saber's determination (and subsequent attainability) was what made her so beautiful. His UBW self is... very different. He is capable of planning and rational thought, manipulating Kirei Kotomine (Fubuki Cities resident sadistic psychopath) into doing his bidding, and admitting when someone was stronger than him (he admitted his defeat to Shirou at the end of UBW), but it was rubbed in the face that he had a God level entitlement/megalomania complex.

I can see why most people prefer the Ufotable versions of Fate. Stylistically, Deen's Fate has a very 90s anime feel to it, think Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, Golden Boy that few may readily appreciate. Hell, just look at the colour grading. But there is still an old school charm to it I find almost nostalgic and I haven't even watched it.

I don’t know why the Deen version gets so much hate the art is similar to the visual novel and I think it’s beautiful. Of course you can’t fit all the details from a 90+ hr vn but I still love this adaptation
It’s really good dude, it gets hate because it’s not pretty like UFO adaptations lol also because it’s mashed everything into one but hey who can blame them they only had so much episodes to work with lol. If UFO couldn’t adapt heavens feel to a T with 3 movies how you expect DEEN to do the same with only so many episodes lol
i think the issue personally is that the conversations flow really weird with the scenes, the direction and what they choose to try and show is off putting at times, and the tone of certain scenes dont work at all imo. I think also they were too ambitious with what they tried to pull in, trying to cram heaven's feel and UBW content in with the fate route left less time to explore shirou and saber's relationship. Cutting that stuff would have given more time to build up to saber and shirou's opinions of one another, even without adapting 90+ hours of vn
That one scene with shirou and saber training in the dojo with the dramatic pan view of a single frame of saber looking stoically is an example btw, and another scene in the boundary field where shirou and saber start running and it looks really silly. It's not an animation or art style thing, it's more a flawed direction.

honestly this route is actually quite good its just that people these days want expensive animation but they don't really care about the plot for fate anymore and don't even bother to check the lores. This is like the only route where saber wasn't nerfed to the ground. I mean its ridiculous how much they nerfed her to the point where she actually lost to shouichirou with 1 hit and it sent her flying i'm like what the f. Oh then they made saber alter look OP as hell when this saber this actually more OP.
Ehm... actually this was the route where Saber was nerfd the most. She gets up again when Shirou returns Avalon but for most of the route Saber was at her lowest in terms of power.

@@patrickplayz8370 In Fate Route she has Avalon only in the last fight aginst Gilgamesh, reason why she manages to defeat him, because Avalon is fucking broken and more than makes up for her lowered stats and limited mana (that is only a sample of what Artoria's real power should be), but for the rest of the route she's quite weakened, both for the absence of Avalon and Shirou being her Master, and same goes for half of UBW fight with Kozuki included. The Anime doesn't show it well at all so it's not clear but Medea was using her magecraft to greatly enhance his abilities, this combined with Artoria's weakened state, Kozuki's already superhuman strenght and the surprise effect resulted in her loss. Archer toyed with him only because he was aware of his strenght and most importantly Medea wasn't there to support him. UBW is actually the route in wich Saber is at her strongest in terms of stats once Rin becomes her Master.
I like how she walked up, stabbed him, and THEN finished Excalibur. XD

EA is nothing compare to excalibur... the only thing make it seem powerful is its skill “Enuma Elish” which can penetrate anything except avalon...and yet...avalon inside shirou. Gil die by plot twist.

You also feel it right!? That moment was so touching, seeing that Avalon is what keeps them together and also the place where they reunite. It's like they were touching a treasure that they both value because it's what allowed them to meet each other and find their happiness.
I cried when I saw the end to this anime, and I cried even more when I watched the Realta Nua ending (reunited at last :D *sniff*).

This is still my absolute favorite Fate/SN battle
in theory every servant when he or she make his or her oath to the grail a save is happening. that means when someone summons that servant se or she appears after the oath, when he or she die just simply disappear and when summoned again he or she gets back to the time of the oath. saber is a special, because her oath was to find the grail so she will still remember what happened to her untill she finds the grail.
I really dig Pure Invincibility State Shirou honestly, and I really do love how fantasy focused this route was and how it captures the legend behind Saber too.
Now imagine Avalon state Shirou and Saber with Rin’s mana supply xD (tho Shirou would not have UBW powers hmm)

In the Visual Novel, as soon as Shirou used Avalon and broke free from the mud, he was launched at top speed toward Kotomine giving him no time to react.

Well. Avalon wasn't on her person; after all, from where she was summoned, she was dying specifically because she didn't have it. Had Kiritsugu known of its true power in the hands of Saber, things might've been different but he only thought it enables regeneration.
And if she did, we wouldn't have Fate/Stay Night and Shiro & Saber would've never met, so woulda been a pity for Saber-shippers (and everybody, really, since FSN rocks; UBW/HF GARShiro FTW!) :p
It's supossed that at the momment when Shirou reach Avalon, he is a badass with a lot of battle experience that he gets with the pass of the years.
Even if she die in real world Her real place which is avalon they don't die for now she's just waiting for her lover,her sword sheath,her Scabbard,a queen,but hey they're actually happy having a reunion in avalon most fate stay night fans would wanted to see remake version of it and the "avalon ending last"episode added

@@renflare2570 ok and?it doesnt activate forever and clairvoyance gives him the ability to instantly know the abilities of his enemies and their np,so he will instantly know how to deal with avalon.he would most likely set ea off in small blasts (because its destructive output is stronger than excalibur unless sbaer faces and alien that threatens the earth,which gil is not so the seals for excalibur will not be released and even if it did,ea would beat it,because ea doesnt necessarily blast stuff as much as it rips apart whatever is in front of it by distorting the space around that thing,including energy blasts from excalibur or fire type blasts from vasivishakti) and then use GOB as defense in case saber tries to blitz him.not to mention,he has schythe that bypasses her normal armor and a light speed ship to avoid getting by excalibur,not that shed get the chance even with GOB.she will litterally just be on defense because if she rushes in shell get an ea blast,if she stays in avalon her own mana will run out eventually and avalon will stop healing her/protecting her then shes instantly dead.
the best she could hope for is a draw which would only happen if avalon doesnt take a lot of energy and then she could stay in avalon until she dies,but gil has the potion of immortality so he would just be able to revert back to his younger self,meaning saber would die and gil would not

Although they are capable of being summoned again like King Arthur was in fate/zero and fate/stay night, they still do not return to the past or the "servant's place" as their spirits are merely summoned from the origin for the holy grail war. Also, I assume the question was phrased in the sense that can they come back or respawn during the same war. I never mentioned of any killing of spirits or souls.

He hasn't to do nothing, just let HFShirou kills himself with the projections trying to give damage to him. But Fate Shirou is invinsible in that state. Even Ea cannot do anything to him.

Apparently what he did there was release the magical energy that was stored in the dagger with that punch, so probably every magus can do that as long as they have a device that stores mana, since it's a simple activation command.
I’m confused, did she block it with Excalibur or Avalon? People say she can’t move during Avalon but that’s clearly not true cause unless she deflected Ea’s blast with a normal swing from Excalibur then she and Excalibur were definitely coated in Avalon during that deflection aka she can most definitely move during it. She also ran through the blast area like nothing and the particles of surrounding her armor that transferred to her sword seemed like Avalon so I’m assuming here than she can move during it. It would make sense I guess for the very best defense in fate to allow the user to move otherwise it just wastes the invulnerability and at that point Karna’s armor is better.

@@Star_Golden I know it can block it, I mean it can block the 5 true Magic’s but it seems like it coated her and her sword while she swung around her sword. So she can move during it? It seems that way which makes sense for the strongest defensive NP but a lot of people say she can’t move during it so idk
