  • TONES FOR JOAN'S BONES | Brought to you by The United States Air Force Band’s Airmen of Note and featuring internationally renowned performer, conductor, composer, arranger, educator, and two-time GRAMMY™ award winner Ted Nash, we invite you to check out the third installment of the all-virtual 2021 Jazz Heritage Series.
Having grown up in Los Angeles under the tutelage of his trombonist father Dick Nash, and saxophonist uncle and namesake Ted Nash, both first-call session instrumentalists, it may certainly have been a foregone conclusion that Ted Nash would see a career as a musician. His personal successes, however, are singularly distinctive and exemplary. We’re thrilled to have had the pleasure of this artist’s esteemed company and musical mastery on this year’s series, and we hope you enjoy Mr. Nash’s arrangement “Tones for Joan’s Bones.” May our effort pay tribute to the enduring legacy of the great Chick Corea, by whom the piece was originally composed.

🇺🇲🙏🇺🇲 I love you & your music & have long subscribed to this channel. Above all, I am forever thankful to you & your families for your service. But respectfully, shouldn't you have been playing "Amazing Grace" or the like, every day for the last few weeks?
    Or . . . IN OUR COLLECTIVE HORROR . . .
& our mutual love & respect... to honor our 13 beloved fallen 🇺🇲 Heroes 🇺🇲 who were killed by...& the American Citizens & Afghan Allies intentionally left behind by... the so-called (alleged) U.S. "Commander In Chief," perhaps you should not be playing at all. Not for now.😔
    🙏♥️🇺🇲✌

I like the ridiculous masks the rhythm section is wearing. Very comforting.
