I have been making lip balm for 8 yrs but this was my first recipe using hemp seed oil and I absolutely love it! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
@@BodyHavenSoaps Is Hemp seed oil the same thing as Hemp seed carrier oil? Thx!
Thank you for sharing.
I just want to say thank you so very much for sharing all your knowledge and even your recipes with us, you are so kind!! I have been making many of the same products you do for yrs and still always learn so much from you 😊...which brings me to a question I'm hoping you can help with that has been driving me crazy for yrs!!! How do you prevent lip balms from getting grttty/grainy. I've tried all the tips and tricks (like holding butters to a certain temp and time, cooling them quickly in fridge, etc) and still end up with lip balms getting gritty weeks later. Has this happened to you.....I'm looking forward to trying this recipe in hopes of better luck!! Thank you so very much for all your time and help for other new creators out there!! Much Love to you! 🤗
Thank you so much for your kind words ,
I think this is an issue we have all faced with lip balm , what I find works the best for me is to keep butters like shea and mango at low % , these butters are made up of many different fatty acids and tend to separate over time if not cooled fast enough of temp change of product over time . I try to keep my use of these butters at low % to limit the separation and make sure to melt to high enough temp all the fatty acids melt with in the butters
Hope this help in someway for you :)
i love it ! does it have an expiry date?
a Canadian! i use voyageur and windy point too!! in in bc
definitely subscribing.
Thank you :)
😍🥰😍🥰😍
Could you do an infused oil lip balm video? I really enjoy your infusion products :0)
Definitely something I can do in the future :)
Hi iwant to learn all this recipes from u
Thank you for sharing your recipe! Does this recipe firm up enough to use in roll-up lip balm containers?
Yes it for sure does :)
@@BodyHavenSoaps ok, thank you.
Thanks for the recipe. What can be substituted for hemp seed oil?
You could replace with any light weight oil in this recipe
@@BodyHavenSoaps what can you use instead of mango butter?
@@BodyHavenSoaps can i substituted with olive oil? how much i can added olive oil ,is that same like hemp seed oil? thank youu so much
I wonder if you can use flavor extract??
I have seen other recipes with extracts in them I have not tried it myself and have read that they don't mix as well with wax and oils but have no personal experience with flavor extracts only flavor oils .
if you try it you will have to let me know how it works out :)
What iş the expire Date for this lip balm, thanks a lot for sharing
Usually about a year
So usage rate is 5% for flavour oil maximum rate and batch total is (176 grams)99g cocoa, 33% cocoa, 28g hemp, 1g castor,1g glycerine, 14 grams shea/mango so fragrance usage should be 9grams not 18g? i'm just confused maybe i'm missing something ? I love the recipe thanks for sharing. I did only use 9g and its perfect.
You are absolutely correct. Thank you!
Thanks for the trick. Last night I changed my formula and it was so hard. I have to throw away because I put it in the tubes already. Oh well. Lesson learned.
Can you use essential oils instead of flavor?
Yes but not all. I'd google the safe ones
Did you say how much shea and mango butter you added? thanks for sharing your recipe.
7 grams shea butter
7 grams mango butter
Can I leave out flavor oils? Maybe sub a bit of essential oil?
