listening to your commentary on artilllery, i could imagine a kind of game mode where each side has say, one 'heavy emplaced cannon' firing something like...titan rockets or some other 'heavy munitions' and the goal is to hit the other teams designated targets. say, each team has an area of cones, or a stack of cardboard boxs or...something some smart person comes up with that is smarter than me. with a designated fireteam working the 'cannon system', players have to scout out howto adjust the cannon's aim for each target, or tell the fireteam where the other team has placed their (for sake of spitting ideas) three targets. so the cannon is less of an anti-infantry heavy weapon, but used to hit some other kind of designated 'bunker' or 'battleship' or soemting. Ive seen similar games done at summer camps with canoes and waterballoon slingshots, where teams try to fill the bucket in the other team's canoe...
Just my two-cents. I also have toyed with the idea of nerf 'artillery/heavy weapons' and came to the same conclusion that anything that would fire a larger projectile or a massive amount of small projectiles a reasonable distance was, indeed, unsafe. the 'blunderbuss' i designed and built as a prototype out of PVC made a lovely cone of 15-ish feet of rival balls, but with only a range of about 40-odd feet.
But I would love to hear more aobut your ideas, as I tend to lean more into 'can nerf stuff be made to do this random silly impractical thing' and less about 'can i do this thing at an event'. I dont realyl attend events personally due to having issues with anxiety and crowds (and loud noises and shouting.) I wouldnt mind even seeing a video discussion or two on the subject, as long as watchers understand that such projects can be dangerous and banned by events.

Have some sort of big lobber-type blaster for the "howitzer," but it's on some type or carriage. (A wheeled cart or something.)
That way, you can keep the power down to where it's safe to use, but it can be moved to go after set (scenario-specific) targets. (Or just blast at opposing players.)
You could also have just a set number of players allowed to operate it at any given time. (I'm thinking 3--driver, loader, and launcher.) If one of the MoHo (Mobile Howitzer) crew is tagged, another player could jump in and take their place.
The teams would also want to make sure to defend their MoHo, because if the MoHo is left unattended/without functioning crew, it could be captured by the other team, thus requiring the "original owners" to go re-take it.

The Ward was built for half darts, but it is my first time using brass, and used one size too big. I enjoy making single shot high power blasters, it's kinda my specialty besides DoubleStikes.
The Hammershot is not glued, and you should be able to open it . Hope you enjoy everything 🙂

There is (or at least was-it's been a while) an Airsoft mortar.
It worked by dropping an Airsoft shower shell (the 40mm rifle grenade-looking ones that launch a bunch of BBs) down the tube. There was a stud at the bottom to push the trigger button.
Not sure if a 40Max shell would have the weight (the issue you mentioned), but the base design is at least out there.
Your mention of using a Proton Pack for artillery-like functions gave me an idea:
A full-auto Proton Pack fed blaster (possibly mounted on some sort of carriage/cart to simulate a howitzer), but equip the Proton Pack itself with a really small tank/reservoir.
That way, the "artillery crew" would have to reload the Proton Pack tank after each "shot," effectively simulating reload time and area effects for the blaster.
You could also have multiple blaster/Proton Pack rigs mounted together and linked to a single trigger. (For bigger "blasts.")
Build the whole thing with some sort of elevation screw/control, and there you go.
@Captain Xavier about the mortar system, just a small idear, why not make projectiles, that works like the handgrenades. where the impact position is the nose of the grenade and add some weight to the nose and then cover it with foam. the use a spring system or the toilet pump (such as your rocket luncher) to shoot it up in the air.
If you plan on making another warhammer nerf gun, what would you do? P.S. I hope someday you can make a sebastian yarrick nerf load out. That would be awesome
How feasible would it be to create a 40K stormbolter out of two mega motostrykes and how would one go about making it fire from a single trigger?
Why do your mags face different directions on one of your light vests? I would think you'd want them to be all the same way, so your reload is the same every time

The Mayfly mod does not fit the Disrupter. It fits the Maverick. Unless there is a Disrupter version of the Mayfly mod I am unaware of.

Depends on the blaster, but not usually. With rare exception, the cost of shipping exceeds the value of the blaster, so it just isn't worth it.

@johnriverstone Mozart wrote a lot more than just piano. He wrote whole symphonies. Heck, he wrote his first symphony when he was 8 tears old.

I am a totally blind man that wants to play HVZ. I’ve tried a few times and failed miserably. Always gotten tagged within the first five minutes of the game. How would you devise a strategy for me to play the game? I already have a full automatic blaster because I feel like my chances are better with the more rounds I shoot instead of trying to hit someone with one round. My plan is to go to Ragnarok Tober fest in October because I live in the Bay Area and it seems like that big one is closest for me. 6:54
