DCeased is a six-issue comic book miniseries published by DC Comics from May to October 2019. It was created by writer Tom Taylor and the artistic team including penciler Trevor Hairsine and inker Stefano Guadiano. The story takes place in an alternate Earth, where a corrupted version of the Anti-Life Equation has infected most of Earth's inhabitants with a zombie-like virus. Lois Lane acts as the series' narrator, detailing how the events took place over the course of a few weeks.

Plastic man is by far the scariest thing... but I wonder out of everyone how did he end up infected? Unless he was the unlucky first batch that was on technology when it first spread
likely just technology, plastic man is smart but wouldn't be able to figure out it was coming from that BEFORE he used any type of it, and he does normally.

I was so-so about DCeased at the beginning, but it's getting cool as hell now. Layers are being added. Like you said: world-building.

Even if she died they could at least show *how* . She's one of the most powerful beings and she's not even mentioned by others, while her father is used for story? I hope she's gonna be in the next issue. Or at least what happend to her.

RE: Jonathan not being infected, swords can be disassembled. unscrew the pommel, pull of the guard and handle. Push the clean base of the blade thru him. IDK if they called that out, just somethin i noticed
Or they left it in him and cleaned WW off it before removal.
Or they just had the Green Lantern who was literally holding the sword, create a force field to prevent infection or to disinfect it as it was pulled from one body to the next. It's not really as big a deal as Rob made it seem.
Mostly likely one of them cut the edge of the blade from johnathan getting infected
Agreed, the heroes aren't going to be stupid drawing the sword back out. Remove the hilt being the easiest.How Zatana wasn't infected doesn't make any sense. Plastic man seemed to stab into her eyes and mouth. How is she not infected? Some magic timey wimy thing obviously.

I guess the next point is how do they get Superman out of the sun to cure him ? Once this cure is found of course and they’re able to bring back some kind of normalcy to the earth .

Dr Lipa Yes, I think it would be regenerated at this point being inside the sun for 5 years . Even though it probably wouldn’t and he could heal it if he got the cure possibly or get a replacement In the future . It depends on what happens in the end. .

Actually the sword used to stab jonathan kills his kryptonian cells, so by the time the virus blood reaches his body it is already dead for it to reach its bloodstream, and his healing powers kicks in flushing away the dead cells along with the infected blood

Don't sweat the Sword coming out of Superman Rob. The way I imagine that the Green Canary Lantern just put up a barrier around the Sword threw Superman and then pulled it out.
The sword that stabbed Johnathan Kent was a MAGICAL sword made with kryptonite. It stands to reason that there was a protective element (virus killer) that did not allow the virus to spread to Johnathan.

I would like to think Marvel Zombies could reach this level, and I hope they do. Cuz damn I like a good zombie story. But Dceased is amazing and well played. Except for the jonathan kent thing. But still great story
There are multiple ways to keep jonathan from getting WW's blood on him. taking the sword apart, using Hardlight to make a force field or just cleaning the blade are both easily done.
Yah I don’t think it’s that big of a deal because there are so many ways to not have her blood get in him
There are inconsistencies here and there in the Deceased storyline but it's ultimately pretty damn good.

Yeah but then it might not be a whole lot of things going on within the story if Mr.mxyzpitlk was there. Plus seeing & having multiple superman dying in other Reality/ universe's it's nothing new to see.
Maybe he'll show up when Trigon does and after taking care of the Amazos he transports Trigon back to that void to contain him once again?
Might even say "It's the least I could do for my favorite boy in blue".
I'm not sure I'd buy Trigon being safe from the Equation, given that Darkseid wasn't. Wonder how that'll play out and whether Mxy will even be necessary

They could’ve wiped the sword clean of Diana’s blood before pulling it, ripped the sword through his shoulder to prevent fluid transfer, or push it all the way through Jonathan like an arrow. There’s explanations for why he didn’t get infected.
exactly, the wound was not from the infection, but from the magic kryptonite sword that was in his chest.
Or... y'know you had Green Lantern Canary there, she could've just encased the sword in hard light and yoink it out, keeping the infected blood from escaping.

Rob. Johnathan not being infected makes sense. They're 2 scenarios in which to get the sword out: 1) pull the blade out by the handle the way it came in and infect him with Wonder Woman's blood or 2) remove the handle and push the rest of the blade through bypassing the infected blood. It's the same principal as removing an arrow that's gone halfway through. You never pull it out as you do more tissue damage then just pushing it the rest of the way. It checks out that he's not infected, Rob.
so they went the walking dead route. where fluid and blood transfer doesnt matter if the character is important enough...
Or it could be that they're waiting to introduce Jonathan Kent as a sleeper cell, who becomes infected later in the story and takes people by surprise. With his infection progression moving at a slower place. There's probably some freshly baked Blueberry McGuffin that says he has a super powered immune system that prevented him from getting infected earlier.
Or it could be they removed the sword without pulling it straight out. With magic, they could have pretty much pulled out the sword by cutting off his arm and then repairing the damage.

Among the ways you can remove a sword without infecting the wound:
Dissemble it by removing the pommel and hilt and just pushing the blade the rest of the way through
Use a hard light construct in the wound to make a barrier between Jonathan and the sword
