For anyone wondering why Kool G Rap got a great crowd response compared to everyone else (e.g. other than the fact that he's a superior MC and a close peer to Kane skills-wise), it's because the crowd has seen everyone else perform that night already. Kool G Rap's first appearance was on this track. He went on to perform just two more songs (e.g. Ill Street Blues and Road To The Riches) a few minutes later. I uploaded a video of that (unfortunately) short set as well.
Does anyone know why Kane never does his whole verse? Check for yourselves he always leaves out the lines after the quarter line, "....like a game in a arcade....etc. and jumps to "...I reign superior..." It's the way it was edited in the official video and I understood the time constraints there but Live I want to hear the whole verse.
To come to the crowd's defense, yes, they weren't rocking during this song. But this track isn't really a "party track" anyway, more like a lyrical song and too slow a tempo. The crowd was definitely hype throughout the night at certain points (e.g. Kane songs, Biz songs, etc.).
What the F*** happened to that Real NYC hip hop crowd?!!!?!?!. Damn, Back in the day, The crowd would of EXPLODED!. Smh. All those legends and the crowd was WEAK. The older cats in the crowd should've represented a lot harder. Thanks for the vid though. Great to see.
To play devil's advocate, "The Symphony" isn't really a track to explode and jump around to. The crowd DID do that with other tracks during the night, just not this one. With that said, I was pretty hyped watching this live lol
I'm seeing your other comments. I am not defending the crowd at all. In fact, I don't really care how the crowd reacted because I was concentrating on not going crazy seeing this live!!
Respect 2 G Rap!!
I miss hip-hop.
Hip Hop in da purest form!!!
This was a bonafide Suzuki Samari hit. Top down, two 18’s , blaupunt radio… Damn I miss those days 💥🌪🔥
Thanks for checking out the video. If possible, please share!

The crowd isn't even rockin. They're too worried about their phones. Sadness.
Yeah, when I looked at the video before posting, I thought the amount of cell phones up with their crappy audio recording capabilities was amazing lol

Stop Defending that crowd sir. No need. They were not rocking much at all. There is no excuse for that with this line up.
I noticed they lit up and roared when Kool G. came on.
Everyone involved is OLD as Dirt
Kane!
Let me know if there are other tracks that people want to see from the night and I'll look into getting those videos up. Thanks for checking it out!
grandgood Road to the Riches please.

How jay z the same age as these legends and still has a relevant performance after all these year's smh .its called master your craft.
Different eras, you don't know what you're talking about. Jay is younger. They didn't rap like Jay-Z. They were lyrical like you're hearing.
Kane had a full album with hits in "88" and drug dealers had the $, Jay was in Marcy getting that right now $.

Damn!, why was Craig G so off beat? 🤔 The DJ was actually trying to help him catch up.
did they perform the cipher with Frank cutlass?
Dude BDK sounds so so so good compared to Ace, Craig, and Kool. Kanes voice and energy is second to none!!!
One of greatest hop songs of all time but there performance is horrible.
