  • VSDC Video Editor Beginner Tutorial - In this video, • How to turn still imag... ,I show you how you can turn still images into moving panoramas in VSDC Free Video Editor. This technique is very useful when you don't have enough video material or no video material and have to work with just still images. In such cases, you can turn your still images into moving panoramas so that there is some movement happening on the screen as opposed to the viewer watching just a still image. Watch the full video till the end to know more about it.

To create an edit that is amontage of moving objects place four videos on the screen with one in each corner. Each one is a bit off screen in its own corner. Add the movement on each one towards the center so that all the movement arrows point to the center (the arrows all point towards each other). Optionally, you can make each one partially transparent (I've done it with all of them at 50pct). The makes an interesting montage of moving objects. Assuming they are all in the same category, it comes together nicely. If you choose the partially transparent option, you can also optionally add a still image or video as the last layer that doesn't have movement and does not have transparency. The last layer nicely achors the scene so that the movement is offset somewhat by the still image.

How do you make the movement stop at the end of the image. Everytime I try it it goes past the image. And how do you slow down the pan?

To stop movement at the end of the image, you need to be precise about the point where your movement object ends on screen.
To slow down the pan,you need to increase the duration of the movement object in the timeline and that cannot happen unless you increase the duration of your image.

what about the hesitation in the movement...how can you fix that?

It hesitates when you preview it in the editor. But, after you export it, it is smooth.
