- Should you be fishing in the rain? I went fishing during a rainy day to find out if I can catch more fish while the rain falls down. The rain seemed to make bass more active as I got bite after bite in the rainy weather. If you can get past the rain you can catch more bass in the rain.

Slayed it, Jon! 💪🎣
The rain definitely makes the fish bite more! Too much rain does the opposite in my experience, great bass action 🎣🔥
Thanks man. Yeah anywhere but lakes doesn’t work with a lot of rain.
Love the vids bro, hit the tri, the past few times it’s been raining and the action has been great caught the most fish I have all year during one of those days, love throwing a spinner on these rainy days even had a nice channel hit one, but I gotta add the fluke to my tackle!
Yeah I definitely have to fish that reservoir. I haven’t been there this year yet, I gotta get my season pass. Yeah add it to your tackle box you won’t regret it!
Fun sesh Jon. I need to use the fluke more. It’s definitely worth getting wet. The rain also brings me another layer of peace. I love it.
You should definitely use it. You fish that lake so often I’m surprised I haven’t bumped into you yet.
@@Jonalexxx The first fish I caught on a fluke was a PB a few years back. For some reason though, I hardly use it. Yeah, Clopper is a favorite of mine. I’m sure we’ll bump into each there some day.😆
Dude great video. You’re killing it on many levels 👏
Thanks man! I appreciate the support👍🏽
Great job buddy
Thank you! Cheers!
We've had sooo much rain recently. For the bigger lakes it might be okay, and overcast is generally better. But for the small ponds, rivers, and creeks, where I focus, it's definitely a problem. High muddy water makes is very difficult to find biting fish. I can't wait for a few dry days.
Yeah anything with current is blown out right now. Pretty much unfishable, but it’s good for lakes it brings the water up without losing much visibility. Rivers won’t be good to fish for at least a couple weeks tho
Excelent video Jon! What kind of hook are you using?
Thanks man. For flukes I like using Gamakatsu offset shank worm hooks. Size 2
Let’s go salt water fishing!!!:)
We’ll have to plan something. Definitely not this month. It’s got kinda hectic for me rn.
I was at Needwood in the rain the other day while raining hoping for some good bites but I got skunked. This place looks familiar though.
I got in the pattern of grassy flats edges, I always struggle to find a pattern there at least from the bank. This is Clopper lake about 15-20 minutes from Needwood.
I've only tried Coopper once last summer and there was so much topwater algae I gave up. Very mucky. Looks prettyy clear in your video though. Haven't tried Senexa lake yet though wanting to go up maybe next week
@MichaelVonEerie yeah last year it had a horrible algae bloom, this year it’s fine tho. Good luck!
Good to know! I'll make plans to check it out.
