This place is like disney land, they created it (just like the tomb of jesus in Church of the Holy Sepulchre.. that church has everything created and walks like a rollercoaster ride). Back when I still believed in the existence of a god, I didn't have any fear of "God." I trusted that if a god existed, it could not be judge-mental, because if it was judge-mental, it would have to harshly judge itself for "being" harshly judge-mental. And that never made any sense to me.
If a god existed, and it had asked me if I wanted to be in a material body on earth so that i could suffer, I would have said, "Are you insane? I want to stay where everything is perfect and where suffering does not exist." Why would a god presume that I preferred suffering to not suffering ... unless he was off his rocker? The stories are utter nonsense.
@@junevandermark952 You seem to be forgetting that mankind, to whom God gave free will, once had the choice you describe, it was in Eden. God didn’t presume Mankind would prefer suffering to non-suffering, it was Adam & Eve who showed, by their disobedience, the path that they thought they could take on their own. If not for their fateful decision mankind would still be perfect, free from all harm under God’s care. They disobeyed God & now we suffer the consequences of their original sin. God sent His only son, Jesus, to provide a way back into an eternal life with Him. Sadly, as you have demonstrated, many people still make the wrong choice.

Being raised in a Christian culture, I also could have invested my faith in the story that my soul would be saved and other souls would go to hell, or some equally horrible place of eternal suffering in an afterlife.
I just thought the story was ridiculous.
After all, why would a god bother creating souls that it knew ahead of time were going to fail a test and suffer for eternity … unless the god was a monster?

The Church of the Holy Sepulcher is "NOT" the place of the skull, the site where the actual crucifixion took place. The crucifixion site is near to the Garden Tomb, and adjacent to an actual cliffside - near the current location of the bus station. To me, it is amazing how poorly the crucifixion location was been "hijacked" just because a religious organization said "this is the place." Read the bible - it was at "the place of the skull." Don't travel all the way to Israel, only to be lied to by having the tour guide show you the church shown in this video. Any biblical historian worth anything knows that Christ wasn't on a cross at this site. It's a misconceived church tradition only, and not "actual reality." Ask the tour guide to take you to the place of the skull. For that is the site where the Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ, gave his life for the sins of the Human race.
Perhaps the location of the Holy Sepulchre looked like a skull before they built a large Church on the site.
@@schatzi321 That is exactly what it is. The church contains a structure known as the Edicule, which encloses the traditional location of the tomb and the crucifixion. It is NOT near the garden tomb.

“Passion” is how Catholics describe the Crucifixion of Jesus in which he, like millions of European Christians also prayed to God for help but instead they were met with torture and death: “Oh great God, why have you forgotten me hanging on a cross”!!!! A pathetic and fake Crucifixion that left a trail all the way to Srinagar, India when Jesus died there 45 years later while 10 of 12 of his Apostles were tortured and killed!
True New Testament Christians celebrate the Lord's death burial resurrection every 1st day of the week, meaning every Sunday.
