That last play blew me away. He gets doubled, fakes passing it to the open man who just lost a defender, guides the defense to start guarding the players getting opened up, and then finally chucks it across the entire court to the only guy free enough to sink a 3. That is genius-level stuff.

That pass was borderline ingenious. Everything leading up to the pass, and about the pass itself is already said, but what blows my mind is not the sole precision of the pass, its that Jokic purposefully repositioned AG a foot the the left, moving him a few inches more away from the 2 oncoming defenders, and when I looked closely, it looks it was just about an inch or so from the blockers reach that he missed the block or at least interrupting the ball. it was poetry in motion...

And people out there doubting than Jokic should be repeating the MVP. What this man has been doing for this Nuggets is something that you will never see before...EVER. He way he raise up a team that should be down there with ORL and Detroit fighting for the last places on the NBA inside the Top3 on the draft.
People talk about Curry,LeBron,Giannis,Embii as contender and i always said... Curry? The Warriors can hang to middle of the table without him with Green and now Klay, Bucks can hang with Holiday and Middleton, Philly hang without Embii. Lakers can hang without LeBron.
Jokic doesn't have the luxury of having 2,3,4 all stars on his roster. Even fully healthy the Nuggets only have him as All NBA caliber player. Jamal is great, but he's not Klay,Green,Hollday,Middleton,Simmons,Anthony Davis,Gobert or Mitchell or CP3 or Harden,Kyire.
All the others candidates got some serious backup on their roster. Meanwhile Joker doesn't have anybody to space the floor for him to make it easier on the paint for him or someone to grab some attention away from him. He have to deal with double and triple teams while also being fronted before even receiving the basketball.

Like...I know the NBA is the most exclusionary sport there is (height, hand-size, specific youth conditioning programs) like less than one percent of a percentile even gets an opportunity to put their drive to the test.
But Jokic? Sheesh. Even with the parameters I've mentioned he's talent off the charts. Arguably in the same tier as Giannis. None of us could even fathom what it's like to walk 6'6 with Jordan's hand size, let alone Giannis'. But dude...Jokic just doesn't look the stereotype and it's incredible how effective it is. Shaq tier, except decision making. It's absolutely insane and real talk only Giannis and sometimes Embiid break my brain to the same degree of humanity surpassing the sport stupidly. Not even KD does to this degree because of the paint pushing and passing. His vision is extraordinary in an already extraordinary physical setup for basketball.
As fun as it is to see more normal sized humans (if you can even utter that phrase when it comes to the NBA) succeed like Ja and Curry this degree of otherworldliness can't be denied. The Joker my MVP right now and that really shouldn't be a hot take-

As efficient as his game performance was in the first half, I like the human elements that are part of this analysis. Mike Malone coming off the bench to calm the Big Honey when he yelling to the ref for an FT' call shows the growing maturity of the relationship between coach and his MVP athlete. Jokic can definitely be a hothead but he has to channel it properly and justifiably so since he can't afford taking goofball technicals. But that ending where Jokic's footwork and eyes (to his intended teammates in motion) fooled not only the guys who wanted to double him but the other guys stuck to their defenders to hit an Aaron Gordon in the frikin corner for an open jumper was truly some David Copperfield performance. The otherworldly benefits of being a 7 footer with court vision and that soft touch.

its insane how whenever he's on the floor, the nuggets play amazing, and whenever he sits on the bench we immediately fall apart because this team IS Jokic

I didn't even notice how fast he is compared to other big mans. He just makes basketball seem so easy, it's incredible.

I smelled a Joker video coming soon, this man is too disrespected. He’s not even being considered to the same degree as other candidates in the MVP race. It’s flat out disrespectful considering his performance

Best basketball content on YT! I would love to see a video breaking down Mavs improved defence

This was an awesome video and what a play to end the game. Also funny to see him and Zubac go at it

I remember 2018 playoffs... my boss bet me a $1000 for the series against the spurs and blazers... EASIEST $2000 EVER. Jokic is the man.
