MRO Minitwins - Round 5 - Race 2 - Cadwell Park - Horrific crash

- Sundays first race. Lasted only half a lap - notice the first rider goes down at gooseneck, Then a Horrific accident unfolds at the top of the mountain, 3 riders went down and we had no vision of the bikes or riders on track. I narrowly avoided everything but the 2 riders behind me crashed head on into the bikes. a total of 11 riders went down. An absolutely horrific crash to witness but luckily everyone is ok with only minor injuries.
Awesome track!
As part of the medical team that day, we crested the hill to see a pyramid of tangled bikes!
Lots of very lucky rider's that day thankfully.
The track CCTV shows the full incident head on looking down the moutain, and you see the gradual building of the bike pyramid.
@@Tonyraverman when I went past there were only 3 riders down. We were held at the start grid for a restart, I was so shocked when I found out 11 bikes were down. Madness but i guess with how blind that section is it’s so easily done
WTF you nearly stopped at Hall Bends - a great way to get the rider behind hitting you to cause a 2nd accident. As a racer you really should know better.
Yeah erm - firstly it was red flagged - There were nobody behind me mate because 11 bikes went down. I looked behind. 👍👍👍
There was nobody behind, red flag, and probably shaken by the near miss he'd just had.......bell end 🙄
@@72GLM internet warriors these days 😂 take all judgement from the 1 camera view. Meanwhile I’m watching my mates flying over there handlebars and piling up. Some people just don’t have anything nice to say anymore. Sad really

Top skills avoiding that mate. Looks like they need more LED panels on the run into that section/quicker response to turn them on?!
@@edculwick1830 cheers mate, I agree with that. I can’t recall seeing anything on the led board. Maybe a glimpse of the yellow flag but by then it was already too late. I just got lucky and saw the bike just in time to swirve.
They put the yellow flag out in less than 3 seconds from when the bikes were on the track
@@SuperBikerGP2T this video shows why flags aren't enough. But if there isn't an LED board (I'm sure there is) on the column of that bridge as you come into the mountain section there definitely should be!
@@edculwick1830 im not sure about that. But the led on the mountain could be bigger and better positioned to be honest

Good avoiding action there, sounded from commentary that no serious injuries, frightening.

when i looked over my shoulder i saw bikes flying. crazy
@@SuperBikerGP2T looked scary with somersaulting bikes,, some swift zig zaging and some great skill there.
@@alanflack Cheers mate, I thought i was the last one that made it through but apparently a few others managed to avoid it. so there was another 7 that hit after i went past 😬
@@SuperBikerGP2T looked at the footage I captured from looking across at mountain section, not sure who it was in midfield bit his actions slowed a lot of the riders up which I think reduced the carnage further.

Seen another angle of this crash it's awful.
He want‘s to turn around for a better view. 😂
