Quite simply ‘’ The corrupt system in most countries doesn’t give a crap about the average person in the street . Morality is nothing more than a tool used to keep the majority of the population under control.
      Personally I feel that the sooner we humans get wiped out by A.I. The better 🤷 .
      Think about it 🤔 how long have we humans been waiting for things to get better …as the technology advancements have come around , only the wealthy can afford the good life . The middle class is becoming the next generation’s of homeless . Less right’s less freedom less money . 🤷 it’s 2024 and despite technological advancements - today on earth there are literally 3 billion people living without electricity or clean water 🤔 . 2024 and people are still living in squalor and dying from malnutrition 🤯. Humans don’t deserve this planet 🌎.
      And rather than technology’s improving life - it’s getting harder for more families every week 🚩.
      I say screw humanity …. Let the A.I. wipe us out …or Mother Nature …. Or the dammed ALIENS 🛸 ….. 🤷 2024 and we have learned nothing - war - starvation- . Letting criminals walk away 🤷. Screw humanity .

    This is fantastic, thanks for helping us be more aware. My wife & I have been scammed through the mail 3 times now & only 2 of those times were we able to get refunded; the 3rd time my wife lost $200 & Chase bank did nothing to help us, could not have cared less. Someone in China or elsewhere sent what was supposed to be a box to build a chair but they sent a small circular sponge in an envelope, weighed almost nothing & fit in the mailbox with other mail. Now how can a bunch of wood, enough to build a chair fit in the mailbox ???? It can't !!! But Chase said we received the package & so we got our goods & no refund was allowed. Too bad I can't send them a thank you letter that springs out an arm to sock them in the face.

    Your patience and drive to nail and stop scammers in their tracks is a super commendable job PG! I share your vids with everyone! Amazing!
    So true but short story…
    I take care of an elderly woman here in town and her daughter unfortunately lives in the states ( Sacramento). Her daughter suggested she pay me ( I’m the woman’s caregiver / PSW) via Western Union as she isn’t great on apps or computers in general.
    When I went to WU back in February ( never been to one).. the gentleman did infact grill me as you said he might. What a shame scammers have ruined “ each and everything”… sorry bad joke. After showing him my credentials and basically my life history, he released the cheque to me. Now when I go back once a month ( that’s easiest) he will know me and that we are legit people. But at the time I was pretty irritated as I’m a decent person and just want to collect my paycheque for my job. Unfortunately she couldn’t attach her American bank to Bank of Montreal so this is the easiest way. Sigh…

    You make sure everyone is aware of all the scams out there, how they work, how to battle them, and/or how to deal with them.
    And two, you give so many people that do these scams and actually want out, a place that you can give them that opportunity. A place to sort of redeem themselves using the knowledge they have of that past life.

      @@jwk128 Good thought, but in a refund scam, the "scammed person" is sending cash to the scammer who refunded them for a good or service, but supposedly "refunded too much", so there's no good or service the scammed person is paying for - at most, they're returning an accidental transfer, but there's no real transfer, so even with fake money, there's nothing they're paying for.

    • @carpdog42
      @carpdog42 Před rokem

      @@JG-fe2ym Not sure that argument actually holds water. At least, there is still an agreement formed to exchange supposed stolen money for a partial payment. It obviously didn't happen, and is unlikely, but its not outside the realm of possibility that the scammer could have confirmed the cash and sent a payment before realizing that the cash was fake.
      Personally, I am on board with the idea that scammers and their financial associates put themselves in a special category where beating them at their own game of fraud is absolutely fair play - but that is very much an argument of personal morality and not legalism.
