I am Nigerian and in Nigeria. Just wanted to let you know that for some algorithm issues, most places in Nigeria are either marked "Lagos" or "Abuja" when you try to check up their IP addresses. So your scammer might actually be in Ogbomosho or Ugborikoko and IP's showing Lagos. Hope this helps. Cool job you're doing

This scam ALMOST got my mom. If it wasn’t for the lady at Walmart asking her if she knew who she was sending money to. She told my Mom that it sounded like a scam and it was. I couldn’t believe my mom feel for it but since she thought she knew who she was talking to it caught her off guard

I get these scams from Facebook a lot. I play along until I get the agents information. I don't click on the links. I take screenshots of the information and the scammer. Once I've acquired enough information, I then OUT them on Facebook as a PSA.
I've already uncovered a Nigerian scamming ring involving 5 people, who are trying to scam people who want to buy reborn dolls. I just wish I knew who I could send that information to, so they could be caught. Thanks for what you do, and keep on educating people.

My girlfriend’s grandfather past away last month as you can imagine it was heartbreaking and traumatizing, especially since he wasn’t even 70 yet. A couple days after his passing we all got friend request from him on Facebook. Quite disgusting I wish scammers never existed but it is the world we live in

About a year ago, it was common knowledge that out-of-country scammers were making cold calls to Americans claiming to be Microsoft. That their computers detected a problem on my computer, and if I provided him with my credit card number, they could remotely repair my computer. I played low tech grandad while he walked me through the procedure, reassuring me that he did this all the time. Asked him to hold on- I had to get my credit card and my glasses. The SOB held on for 5 minutes (I knew he wasn't going anywhere). I said "I have the card number, are you listening real carefully?". He says "Yes Sir, I am!"
So I *BLASTED* him with the worst obscenities I could think of. I Went on for about 5 minutes till I got hoarse.
He never hung up, He never said a word.

Got a lot of Emails from people saying you inherited money or somebody died without relatives. Send money overseas and the bank would release the funds. Even if the scammers used my name directly, I wouldn't reply. If it's an urgent matter involving members of the family, they can contact me by text or by phone. People who are not your relatives are usually after money and would find all kinds of ways to get you to send $ or extract your personal info so they can access your bank account.

The Best thing about these vids is we area learning the scams out there and how they work to not fall victim.
The worst thing about these vids, is wanna be scammers , and scammers are learning how the scams work and how not to be caught.
That happened to me with a coworker. I called her and told her about it. She closed her account and thanked me for alerting her. In the meantime I befriend those bastards and at the end they blocked me... oh... the point is they wanted like 2 thousand dollars for like 20 thousand I wan going to get, to 12 thousand for a million I was going to get... I'm nowhere near Nigeria. Met a retired lady who got into sending money to Nigeria (not going to disclose the amount). The scammer asked her to transfer the money to a bank in England. After 1 transfer he told her the money had not gone through so send it the second time. The lady never gave the reason for transferring money overseas. Not sure if it was for a sick relative or a business venture. The guy (supposedly in England) later disclosed he works for the Bank of Nigeria. If she had trouble sending money, she should try sending it to his boss directly.
After 1 transfer, the lady got frustrated and started getting her friends to help her send money overseas (borrow money from them). Still didn't give the reason for sending the money. The last time we talked was 2 years ago. Not going to find out whether she lost all her retirement savings.
