    I bought the Weider Ultimate Fitness about a year ago, because of your videos. I canceled my 10 year gym membership 3 weeks later.
    I liked the sliding bench workout so much, I have now purchased the Total Fit XLS, which I love. These trainers don't hurt my joints, are easy on my back, and give a very good upper body workout. You need to get a little creative for legs( I use resistance bands on the XLS) but overall, a fantastic home gym.
    Thanks for your advice, it really helped me out.

      Awesome to hear all that and thank you for those positive comments. I agree that I'm reaping all the rewards the gym was giving me with less wear and tear on the joints. Thanks again for watching.

    Great video as always and very informative! I always learn something new when tuning in to your videos. This helps me get better use out of my total gym, I own the G3 model and love it!

    I've had my Gr8flex 4 years and it has held up well, 5 times a week. I find the new TG I bought a smoother glide. The gr* flex did not have the weight bar option for my legs. The resistance bands included were just silly. Women are as strong as men pound for pound in the lower body. I feel all these gyms are a good investment if you enjoy using them at home as opposed to driving 20 minutes across town to a gym

    I think it's time you review the XLS ! :) I love that one. It's got a wider glide board plus it's 3 inches shorter than the FIT, which makes it easier to get in position for certain exercises.

      I may have to, I am interested to see how it feels. Thanks for sharing that.

      @@hybridresistance Only having 6 levels is kind of annoying, but it's easy to workaround that with either the weight bar or a piece of wood to raise up the tower a few inches. Other than that, it's a great machine.

    And you've got Chuck's signature. I have the Fit too, but no Chuck. I've tried a few others over time, prefer my Fit.

    I have had the Gr8flex for 4 years. I have the camo theme version with the cloth top. I am the only one who uses it Sweat on the fabric has not been an issue. The resistance bands it came with were garbage, they were all stretched out in 2 months. The cable does very occasionally get caught in the pulley and you have to take the pulley apart to get it loose. After 4 years the bench does occasionally seem to go off track a little and the slide is no longer smooth. It generally resolves by jiggling the machine. All that being said, I love my Gr8flex but the glide is not as smooth as the TG I bought recently.

      I actually said I was giving away one to my nephews. It ended up being the GR8FLEX...but I will look at doing something like that in the near future. Sorry for the disappointment, but thanks for the idea.

    I like apex 5 ithas 3 holes on the top glide rails that not only is great for adjustment but holds the pins ,,also the XLS chrome rollers are mors dueable and smoother then the FIT I Own both,,Tinking of crossing them over,

    Well i own a total gym xls and yes it only has 6 levels, but adding weight plates should be equivalent to a total gym fit where you can raise the bar higher for more resistance. Would you agree ? Or is there something more to be said for using these machines without resistance bands or weights in the higher elevated position? I only ask this because xls is the only machine i've ever used. Chuck Norris videos inspired me to search for a home workout machine I paid 350 for a used xls & the only thing i didn't get was the training cards, but that was no loss imo. Thanks again for your videos!

    • @hybridresistance
      @hybridresistance  Před 2 lety +2

      You can add weight plates to the FIT as well but it doesn’t have that option for the higher weight bar attachment which is cool. I believe the over all weight you can add is the same. I think it would be great to add bands to the higher bar though. I’m sure you get used to just having 6 levels but it is nice to have those other levels to fine tune certain exercises. That’s a great deal for that xls. Thanks again for the comments

    I was ready to purchase the xl7 which I think is an Exyreme but geared to Sam's and Costco, however, I am wondering if the metal rails are cheaper made than say the Fit. I don't want something clunky or will rattle apart on me.
    I am an older female who has worked out at gym past 4 plus years and just not comfortable since covid . Should I get a pricier machine or would xl7 be good? Thanks for all your videos, they are great.

    Before you get rid of a few of these Total gyms why don't you create a video or two that uses multiple sliding board machines at the same time. One sliding board trainer set up heavy using weight plates, resistant bands, or elevated for a hard leg work out, the second sliding board trainer set easier for arms. Then you could superset legs on the one and then move to the second model for arms. I just picked up a light frame Xforce total gym for $75 to go along with my old heavy frame 3000 model. In my area on Craigslist someone is selling a 1500 for $40. So getting second machines by viewers is a possibility and I have not seen a youtube video using multiple total gyms set up with radically different settings.

    • @hybridresistance
      @hybridresistance  Před 2 lety

      That's not a bad idea. I'll look into doing that. I just let my nephews borrow the GR8FLEX for a period of time, but I will still be keeping the machines.

    Is the gts total gym worth the extra money compared to the fit?

    • @hybridresistance
      @hybridresistance  Před 2 lety +1

      Being "worth it" really will be up to you. For sure I think it's awesome and would love to have one, but it is very expensive for my budget not even considering that it's another $300-400 to just ship it. I've considered (since I'm making all this content) but I have a feeling that I can still get away with so much simply using the other base models. Thank you for watching.
