- TRAVEL GUIDE NORTHUMBERLAND: Where to stay & which places to visit (Part 1)// Hello lovely people, We are so happy to share another travel vlog - we spent a wonderful and exciting weekend in beautiful Northumberland and this is part 1: If you're into self-catering we share what website you can use to find a beautiful accommodation in Northumberland/the Scottish Borders and which places are really worth seeing. On top of the list is definitely Lindisfarne on Holy Island, driving there along the causeway is a highlight.
Oh and on your way to Northumberland, we can highly recommend a visit to Hawick if you're into tweed like we are. Hawick is the home of tweed with great tweed mills and Lovat Mill is our absolute favourite shop to visit there. Also Pringle of Scotland has an outlet store there so really worth browsing. Can recommend the overnight tour to the highlands ,they booked our b + b and it was quaint, similar to the places kirsten stays and reasonable price.

So very beautiful. I love the Tweed bag. It looks like your and Jörg's coats that you sometimes wear. And how neat to have a Tweed jacket made for Jörg. The causeway to the castle looks a bit challenging. One would have to keep aware of the tides at all times! The castle looks so atmospheric in the distance. Whenever I see such structures on top of mounds, I always think of the numerous generations of previous dwellers and incarnations associated through time with the present. I have got to get to Great Britain sometime. I really want to visit Scotland, especially, being descended from MacPhersons. It looks so romantic, wet and cold! Imagine what living in that castle would have been like with no electricity! No wonder the lifespans were so short! Thank you for such a lovely visit and tour! I always treasure wandering with you and Jörg!

Oh there were but we were quite lucky as we started early in the morning so it's wasn't too busy but we often wait for a longer period of time for visitors to leave a room so we can film. Thanks so much!

Loved the tweed weekend bag you bought in Scotland .Lindesfarne looked so special ,and would have been peaceful if you could have weekends there.I painted a watercolour of Lindesfarne from the beach below .I gave it to an American Friend who had visited it with her late husband .It reminded her of that time .

Thank you for this lovely video. You just made my day. And the setting of Lindisfarne reminds me of Mont St. Michel in the French Normandie. But Mont St. Michel is much more crowded in respect to buildings. But it also has a road on sea level to it which you need to check the tides for before actually going there. Otherwise it would be downright dangerous for driving. Cant wait to see the next video of you two. And I was happy to see that you had sun despite of that wind.
