We can't believe Cobra makes an appearance in this movie!
Yep, Sly was originally the actor for Beverly Hills Cop but Sly didn't have the comedy chops for it but when Eddie Murphy got the part, the rest is history, cool reaction as always Eric & Sarah, you both take care and have a nice day and a good night
Noticed your poster a while back and was waiting for this one. 😂
Cobra is a wild experience. In the most complimentary way I can mean it, it’s shot like a music video.
I always liked the idea that Axel and the Beverly Hills PD guys were buddies to the point they were planning trips together.
Yeah, it was good writing to advance the characters’ relationships, and the seeds were planted in the first film. Not only did they become personally close, but Axel clearly rubbed off on them professionally, too. Billy was the first to join Axel in the Maitland investigation, and kinda hero-worships him, which explains some of his youthful recklessness in _BHC2._ Taggart becomes more willing to take risks (“one beer’s not gonna kill us”), and puts his loyalty to Bogomil and Axel over his own job. And we see in _BHC1_ that Bogomil is a legitimately good detective. He quickly realizes that Axel is on to something, saying, “Forget what you can prove [about Maitland and smuggling]. Talk to me.” He’s a little too beholden to “the book” and hamstrung by his superiors to act right away, but right away in this movie, he tells Lutz that he encourages his officers to use their instincts and follow their hunches, and gets suspended for standing by Billy’s decision to ask the FBI for assistance in the Alphabet Crimes case. Andy clearly follows his own instincts and hunches, getting so close to figuring out the case that he nearly got killed, while the Chief and his minions all had their heads up their tuchuses.
"Billy, we need to have a serious talk."
😏
A lot more crazier and more funnier than the last movie!
This is such an underrated movie. Tony Scott's style drips off the screen and the cast is stellar.
People really need to start adding 48 Hrs. to their Eddie Murphy roster.
Both of those were excellent flicks.👍
Inspector Todd was played by Gil Hill, who was an actual Detroit homicide detective. The 3 Beverly Hills Cop movies are his only acting credits.
Axel Folley = Ultimate charisma build
As much as I love the first, I actually like this one even better because it just finds its groove with the action and comedy under the slick direction of Tony Scott:) And Brigitte Nielsen is great, especially in that opening scene:)
Director Tony Scott was known for silhouetted back lit look to his films similar to the beginning of Top Gun.
"You just hit a squad car!"
"I know, I know. It's okay, I know the guy. He's a jerk."
Fun Fact: This was the first movie ever to be filmed at The Playboy Mansion.
What Script Fact: Gilbert Gottfried stated he and Eddie Murphy improvised their dialogue after Axel brought up Sidney Bernstein's parking violations.
That's Hot Fact: Brigitte Nielsen appears in the scene at the Playboy Mansion, this foreshadows her centerfold appearance in Playboy Magazine in December 1987. Director Tony Scott and Brigitte Nielsen reportedly had an affair during filming.
Music Enthusiast Fact: In the scene where Taggart (John Ashton) and Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) enter Axel's (Eddie Murphy) "house" in Beverly Hills, Rosewood remarks to Taggart that maybe The Pointer Sisters live in the house. The Pointer Sisters performed the song "Neutron Dance" in Beverly Hills Cop (1984) and they also performed "Be There" for this movie.
First Rock Fact: Chris Rock makes an appearance as the valet at the Playboy Mansion who complains about Axel bringing in a cement truck. This is his first role on the big screen; Rock was featured in an HBO comedy special (which featured aspiring comedians e.g. Robert Townsend, Marsha Warfield) which was produced by Eddie Murphy and Clint Smith. It's often reported that I'm Gonna Git You Sucka (1988) was his first role, but that came out a year later.
The third one is either loved or hated, but I think it's worth watching to make up your own opinion
The only thing that ever confused me about this movie is that the Jewelry Heist was "A" and shooting Bogomil was "B" but before Bogomil gets shot, Chief Lutz is yelling at Rosewood, "You called the supervising agent of the goddamned FBI to help break this Alphabet code?"
22:38 idk exactly when various laws were enacted but Billy’s knife, being both a switchblade and double edged, is super duper illegal in California now and might have been at the time too. 😅
If you guys are planning to stay on the Eddie Murphy train, watch "Life (1999)" . Probably one of his best movie and the chemistry with Martin Lawrence is awesome.
Buddy-Cop films were all the rage in the 80's, especially when Eddie Murphy was attached to them (48 hours,Beverly Hills Cop 1and 2,
Can't wait to see your reaction to this! Idk if I said it here already or not, but I love all 3 Beverly Hills Cop films, I'm not ashamed to admit it, nor do I care what anyone thinks. And I'm looking forward to the new one comng to netflix soon.
I had this on VHS when i was a teen in the 90s, so i watched it way more than i did the first one! I think I'm still pretty good at quoting scenes 😄
Since you enjoyed this I'd recommend another couple of Tony Scott (director) films, The Last Boyscout with Bruce Willis and True Romance with Christian Slater and a huge ensemble cast of pretty big stars before they got really famous. Both pretty crazy early 90s action movies
The Cobra poster crossover!! Iconic! ❤ love your reactions, keep ‘em coming 🎉
BHC1 was more comedy action while BHC2 was more action comedy.
That knowing look in unison at 10:30 🤣
You let the opening credits go without noticing the producers Don Simpson and his producing partner Jerry Bruckheimer who produced hit films such as Flashdance (1983), Beverly Hills Cop (1984), Top Gun (1986), and The Rock (1996)
They made such phenomenal money that Don Simpson snorted it all and died aged only 52
Bruckheimer would also go on to do the Pirates of the Carribean, Armageddon, Black Hawk Down, and Pearl Harbor
This movie is so in the 80s in everything that is like a time machine...and a good one !
Did you know, that Ferrari (at that time) only cost $52,000 .... and now they cost $200k - $2mil
Guys Check out ''Cop Land''
You need to try Armed And Dangerous with John Candy and Eugene Levy.
26:38 Chris Rock!
Beverly Hills cop one and two are pretty good
Beverly Hills Cop 3 is good too. Don't be a hater.
34:14 I’d have to watch a bunch of movies to check, but this might be one of the few action movies where someone is definitely using a SPAS-12 in semi-auto? Although I think the gunshots there are ADR’d in after the fact
My favorite movie off all time
Greetings from Chicago ✌️🍿
Eddie was always the original choice but the studio wanted Stallone. Stallone retooled the script and left the project. Then they went back with Eddie which is who the director always wanted in the first place.
I actually think the 2nd one is a better made movie than the first one but of course the first one is a classic
If you want a cop movie that isn't a comedy...LA Confidential!!!
HEY ERIC, HI SARAH! SO IN 3 BILLY GETS TO RUN A WHOLE POLICE UNIT OUT OF ( VAN NUYS, CA ) IT'S WORTH A VIEW, IT'S THE LAST OF THE TRILOGY! :) TAKE CARE GUYS!
I heard that the fingerprint trick does work but it turns up white instead of black.
damn 3 minutes late

Kindly react on Raid Redemption 2!!!!
Y’all should watch Bad Boys and Bad Boys 2
100% agreed!
Damn near as good as the first, and even better in some respects. The third, however, takes a serious nose dive.
I love the reactions yall do, could you please react to beverly hills cop 3?
Great reaction to a fun sequel not on par with the original but still enjoyable
Q, ❓Will we ever see you react to "The Green Mile" in the near future❓📗
