    For years I had a period every 1-2 weeks. It was miserable and I became anemic. Started taking a wild yam supplement and I have had a perfect 28 day cycle ever since. My daughter once she started having periods had the same problem and was getting real anemic from it too. So I had her start using the wild yam supplement I use and now her cycles are better spaced out as well. There maybe no scientific research to show why or how wild yam works. But from what I've seen personally, it helps a lot 🙂

      I carried my still born daughter to full term in 2019. Ever since then, I've had over 20 failed pregnancies. I stopped counting at the 20 miscarriage mark a year or so ago. It just gets so depressing. I've had several since I stopped counting. If I had to guess, by now, I know I've had at LEAST 30 failed pregnancies at this time in my life... I have no problem conceiving.... I just for some reason cannot carry more than several weeks.... I've lost two sets of twins, and a set of triplets, as well. The triplets made it the farthest. I was just turning two months when I lost them. I am just at a loss at this point. I've had a silent miscarriage before, without bleeding at first. Just the fetus. But all the rest have been spontaneous miscarriages.....

    Hi Dr. Randy, I would like to extend my gratitude for your informative video.
    I was wondering if you could kindly provide your expertise and assist me with a question I have. I have noticed a decrease in the duration of my luteal phase, and an increase in spotting days prior to my menstrual cycle over the past year. The duration has gone from two days to five days. Can this be a sign of progesterone deficiency? I previously consulted with a physician and was told that there is no issue. However, I am concerned about its impact on my ability to conceive. Could you please offer your professional insight and advice on this matter?

Each time my progesterone is very low (6.8) and failure to pregnancy. Do I need higher medications like injections to create a better follicle? I am 25 years old. No history of PCOS. All of these issues arrived after the birth of my daughter.

    An informative video, thank you. But as someone with a specialist interest in nutrition and fertility (and scientifically trained) I'm somewhat stumped by your comments around healthy fats and progesterone levels. The study you mention at 5:36 actually clearly states that consumption of marine omega 3 fatty acids, a subgroup of 'healthy fats' (in contrast to unhealthy trans fats or, arguably, saturated fats) IS associated with increased luteal-phase progesterone concentrations. Other studies also support the importance of these healthy fats to improved fertility.

      Implantation is THOUGHT to happen about 7-8 days after fertilization - so 4-5 days after a day 3 transfer or 1-2 days after a blastocyst transfer. Home pregnancy tests are not very sensitive. At IVF1, we do a blood test 8 days after a blastocyst transfer and some of the pregnancy hormone levels are still pretty low. You should probably wait 14 days after day 3 transfer

    • @InfertilityTV
      @InfertilityTV  Před 3 lety +2

      The trigger injection contains hCG. A home pregnancy test measures hCG so 8 days later it should be positive. It wouldn't mean a pregnancy has occurred but simply that the hCG was given during the trigger. If it is negative, I would suspect either the dose of hCG given during the trigger was too low or that the home test was defective

    What about walnut leaves? As far as I know walnut trees are the only plant where progesterone has been found so far.

    • @InfertilityTV
      @InfertilityTV  Před 2 lety

      I was able to find only one report in which progesterone was identified in one type of walnut tree, Juglans regia. As best I can tell, the amounts were tiny. If confirmed by other independent labs, then the leaves may serve as a source material for progesterone extraction, isolation and concentration.
      I cannot speak to the consuming of the leaves directly directly or in a tea but it would seem that an enormous amount would need to be consumed on a daily basis in order to get even a tiny amount of progesterone into the body. The concern would then be that other chemicals in the leaves (like juglone) may be toxic at those levels

      It may take some time for ovulation to resume after stopping Depot Provera especially if a woman is overweight or obese. Fertility medications are sometimes used in that situation to speed the time to pregnancy. Your doctor will probably want to make sure there are no other reasons for not ovulating

    • @InfertilityTV
      @InfertilityTV  Před 3 lety

      This may be semantics but when physicians talk about "progesterone deficiency" it is referring to a woman who ovulates but is (possibly) not producing enough progesterone to maintain a pregnancy. Women with endometrial hyperplasia are women who do not ovulate over a period of time and so they only have background levels of progesterone

    I appreciate this video because my doctor has been monitoring my levels and stated I am not producing enough progesterone. The fact that she told me herself that progesterone is hard because it fluctuates so much, I was very upset that she said I’m not ovulating. I just started letrozole and had a positive OPK. I’m so confused about this and just want to give up honestly.
