Windows command line tools provide a wealth of troubleshooting information about computers and networks and in this video, you’ll learn about a few of them including: Ping, Tracert, Pathping, NSlookup, ARP, IPconfig, Netstat, SFC, DISM, and Telnet.
I used your videos to pass A+ and Network+, now that I’m on Sec+ I wish you made those too. You explain content better than anyone else
I've just finished watching all of the networking videos on this channel, loved them. Which others sources did you use to help you pass the network+?
As a desktop support technician, I use these commands on a daily basis, this has been a refresher. Thanks budy
These animations and explanations are the best i've seen on CZcams. Just wish there were more frequent uploads.
You hit pretty much the standard tools to check your system and it's connections to the world. Good stuff.
This the best channel to get better underdanting of how network works , very good explanation especially with the animation, thank you for your effort, we love if you make videos about designing small , medium organizations network using packet tracer ! Thank you
As a visual learner, no one can make me understand the Network topics as much as you do. Whenever I need to know something related to Networking, you come as my savior. I will always debtful to you. Thanks a lot for your efforts, sensei!
Hey wake up! PowerCert uploaded a new video !
He's back! I love your content. By any chance, do you plan to add new content to your Networking series?
I've decided to make a mid career change a month ago & decided to enter the IT industry. These videos helped me understand so much as I am a visual learner. Thank you for your time & effort! You're the best teacher so far!
Thank you was about to make a blog and video of important commands to look for my job interview and you made it easy. The two great part I liked about this video is 1. How to rectify errors and in what order you need to use sfc and dism. 2. The telnet part explaining what way it can be used.
I wish you made these videos once a week they are so great!!
Absolutely incredible and simple to follow. I love your channel and whenever someone talks about getting into the IT field I will point them to your channel. I love love love this stuff. Keep up the good work.
I knew about these commands but now I fully understand what they do thank you very much! :)
Hello, just to say that your channel is really great. I'm preparing for my Network+ certification and your channel is helping me a lot🙏🏽
Love your video's. Thank you for being my online teacher!
Wow! My first time commenting!
Your videos are awesome! I watch them every day. ❤They are really helping me with my A+ Cert!🎉🎉
The best IT channel on youtube for sure !!! AWESOME !!!
All your videos are very easy to understand. Thanks
Keep the videos coming Sir, they’re great! Even my professor references your videos.
Very well done and explained as usual.
Thank you.
Wow! This was really interesting. I didn't even know about the DISM command, until I saw this video. Thanks.👍
Tracert also uses ICMP echo (ping) packets, it just sends a lot less and so it does not show all the info in the output pathping does. My tracert test had sent 60 ICMP echo packets over 9 hops while pathping had 1730 over 9 hops. Pathping also takes a while so one can see why both exist.
First time I've heard of DISM. The telnet to the resource that you mentioned are pretty cool
Me too. I learned about it doing research for this video.
We need more about cmd commands or like advance to use in our current job Thank you. it really appreciated every post
Straightforward explain! Excellent
Could you make a video about OSI Model?
Great video PowerCert! As a student learning about computer networking, these videos are very helpful!
Great to hear!
Thank you so much! This is the Video I have been waiting for.
Glad it was helpful!
Hello dear honorable instructor hope u r doing pretty well
Sir could you please explain RDS server deeply I love your accent I know it very clearly I learnt more from you
First time I'm familiar with pathping and it looks like a pretty cool tool to use when needed.
It could be also very valuable if you been explaining the "source to here" and "this node line" page heads in this command.
I've watched a few of your videos. Great stuff. I didn't know David Sedaris did YT videos! XD
Always amazing!
Thank you very much for your well designed animated videos. All your videos are very easy to understand. I appreciate your hard work!.
Would mind to make a video to teach us how to design an animated video like yours?
Thank you!
Outstanding, thanks a lot
I wondered how much time you spent on this video anyway thanks for your efforts.
I like to watch these videos even if I know all that stuff, it's so well explained!
Other "commands" that are useful are the ones you type in the execute box (win+R). Saves a lot of time if you work as an IT.
Exemples:
compmgmt.msc (computer management)
devmgmt.msc (device manager)
control panel
taskschd.msc (task scheduler)
taskmgr (task manager)
diskmgmt.msc (disk management)
appwiz.cpl (add/remove programs)
etc.
Passed my A+ 1101 thanks to you
Make a next video of advanced cmd that you can use and run as a Network troubleshooting! This is what looking for.
Thanks for sharing
Good video, but one comment.
The wording seemed to indicate that Windows will ARP to get the MAC address of any device it talks to. This isn't true. It will ARP to get the MAC address of any device on the local network that it talks to. If the device it's talking to is on a remote network, Windows will ARP to get the MAC address of the default gateway. It will use the default gateway's MAC address for the local network address, but use the IP address for the remote device.
PATHPING, ARP and DSIM are all new to me,
I used SFC /SCANNOW to repair weird system problems, it's a really great tool.
I'm interested in switches configuration using command line (intro level)
Thanks!
I learned smth new thanks
Thank you so much for sharing👍👍👍😎😎😎
Thank you too
I'm a fan..... His voice 🇱🇰
WELL EXPLAINED. :)

Am using Kaspersky AV at the moment but going try this after mine expired. Thanks !
@aafif5607 Obviously I'm getting paid to promote this. But I can honestly say after 20 years of fixing computers, this is the best antivirus I've ever used.
@@PowerCertAnimatedVideos love your content. Will you ever consider doing a sec+ series?
@matthewd84 Maybe
LOL, I had no idea that I could watch an ascii version of star wars.
I watched a few minutes of it. Not sure if it's the entire movie, but it's pretty cool.

Help to understand how to audit a system
❤❤❤
I may be barking up the wrong tree, but can I ask why not one of these commands is listed when I type HELP at my windows command prompt, please 😮? FIO I’m running Windows 10 Pro ver 22H2 OS build 19045.3570. Any good advice appreciated …
genius
Make a video on Linux commands
I really liked powershell. Finally a good Windows shell. But I couldn't get people to switch to it from cygwin/bash. Windows not only needs a good command line shell. Microsoft needs to do a better job promoting it.

Love ypur channel.bro shame you sold out to the sponsers 😢
can i get Bitdefender for organization for 200PCs
Yes.
1:36 on my computer it says, for ex Reply from 192.168.1.190: Destination host unreachable. And note where 192.168.1.190 is the LAN IP of my computer even through I said it to ping 192.168.1.10
Can you verify that 192.168.1.10 is a valid device on the network and that it is turned on? Some devices don't respond to pings.
We in here, let's get it...Command Line Tools..😅
I have RDS server project at university
Please explain about the router with 100 mbps wan port but 5 ghz wifi haa 866mbps link speed. how this is possible.
the wan port must be gigabit at least
See the difference between wan and lan. Your local network can be linked at over 100mbps if you have the right cables and all devices support it, but if your actual internet port is below 100mbps, you will be limited to that speed connecting to external devices over the internet
Imagine you have a racing car in your garage. The garage door are large enough (866 mbps) to let the car through and you can drive it around your plot (LAN). Unfortunately the only gate in your fence (router) is wide enough just for a single person to pass (100 mbps). So you can drive your car very fast on your plot for example to get mail from mailbox and put it on the table in the living room, but you must go on foot outside (the Internet) to get the groceries and such, so it takes you a longer time overall. Of course you take a spin in your race car to the gate (from host to gateway - 866mbps), but you must go outside on foot (from the gateway into the Internet - 100 mbps).
you should always chkdsk before sfc and dism, and you should never use telnet since windows already have built-in SSH client in command line.
A server at 124° hopefully not in C 🔥6:50 😟
🎉
Make more videos!
Nice!
But there is the same Problem as on other Videos. If i send this Video a Person who want to use it, to find his problem. They always ask: "Were can i see the IP-Adress of my Computers?" So i have to tell him how to use "Net view".
I can't make videos like this quality, so i hope you do it in and make a reupload. PLEASE!!!
🙏
2:24 Strange/odd. I thought it was to show the fastest possible route the packets could travel.
