This was the best night of my life.. Sick fucking crowd and just incredible
legend for uploading this
Thank you for reply!
It was good to solve a question.
Same reason both Mothership and Enter Shikari were dropped a half step - Common Dreads and AFFOC were both recorded with guitar & bass tuned to Drop C, so they started playing all the TTtS songs half step down so they didn't have to retune or change guitars.
wow i never expected to hear stand your ground live ever again :)
if im goin 2 reading festival, enter shikari will change me 4ever!!!! cant wait!!!
Fantastic show..
So outer space that CZcams suggests tomorrowland as next video :)
I Miss the saturday night that they played please come back
actually audio for broadcast is separately mixed in the back of a truck, you can read more about it if you google "festival outside broadcast sound on sound"
inhales on zzzonked are just amazing
I was there and they were amazing nuff :)
On CZcams, search for Enter Shikari - The Feast (Big Day Out) , they are doing that move for at least 4 years now. So I guess they have it figured out :D
She said that they are reporting live from the Isle of Weight Festival for ZDF.kultur (German television station) Afer that she briefly introduces Enter Shikari
You do realize the gesticulation from the singer for the sound engineer? The whole concert he begs to put up the volume of his Microphone! You can even recognize how he gets pissed evermore and stops singing.
great destabilise performing!
very nice, guys!
I came here for one song and stayed for one hour instead. I guess one does not simply listen to one single Enter Shikari song.
That's what we call putting on a show...
When I see comments like this I smile, cause you can clearly tell you know your shit. I tip my hat to you sir.
Oh how I love the electronic 'remixing' they do on their live shows. The first time I heard Motherstep I sadly-not-literally had a wee poopy in me pants.
great comment
That version of Juggernauts made me break shit in my room...and then stand your ground started and more objects were broken
I genuinely laughed out loud at Rory's joke before Zzzonked :P Great set!
surely i cant be the only one who thinks the intro is amazing?
to Warm Smiles Do Not Make You Welcome Here that is
00:00 System... 02:35 ...Meltdown 06:33 Sorry you're not a winner 11:25 Interlude + Hello tyrannosaurus meet tyrannicide 17:34 Destabilise 22:02 Mothership/motherstep
... I got tired, someone follow it :D
they nailed it at TITP, even got a strong crowd sing-along ;)
God, I love 'em! :D
IF THAT SOUNDS HEAVY, THAT'S BECAUSE IT IS.
they were fucking epic live in the big top and if you were there like me then you know how amazing it actually was apart from the mud!
make sure they are the main event as well, i saw them supporting 30 seconds to mars and the crowd was literally dead, the crowd picked up when 30 seconds came on though
I love ZZZZONKED!
YES STAND YOURE GROUND !!!!1
They did it during destabilize yesterday in Porto PT, it went terribly wrong.... Rou had a bloody nose, they had to stop the show for a couple of minutes while he was getting it treated... meanwhile we had some enter shikari funk stuff being improvised hehehe
Poor guy at 21:00 He just came to put back the microphone at his place.RUN MAN! FUCKING RUN MAN!
he always played like that
Destabilise intro needs a studio release
It was their first time playing it. The band didn't really know the live levels, nor did the sound crew. It'll get ironed out in time. T in the Park was their 3rd time playing it and it's massively improved there, so practice makes perfect.
This set list is fucking sweet!
Amazing set. Save the best till last... zzzonked, best song ever. Was it just me or was rou's mic not loud enough...
Trust me and their awesomeness, they'll fix it with the time ;)
if this is their setlist at Leeds I will be one happy chappy.
It was already in the discription
No that's directed to the monitor engineer, the front of house engineer is something completely different...
tbh at metal/hardcore shows, the risk of something happening to the cable is pretty big, compared to that of a wireless once its set up properly, its just way easier to lose a wireless mic on stages with tons of bands(i.e. festivals)
+ ofc the looks of a wire, and the fact that you cant swing a mic around if it doesnth ave a cable attached
Plus Rou has been battling Hay fever since the US tour...
4:25 two questions:
How much practice did that take?
How many times has that failed horribly?
Wrong again I'm afraid - I was working there for them - Sky Arts is not "low-key" in the eyes of Sky there was more than 60 crew involved including subcontractors (TV OB units / Production crew / Presenters / Sound crew / cameramen / riggers/ VT ops etc). They covered 2 stages all weekend - live in HD.
You are right that they wouldn't get it remixed post show but that's because it was live on TV - There was a dedicated truck mixing it there and then specifically for TV
i saw them live the other day and they were insane its a shame becuse you will be missing out on such a great band, most bands struggle with this even the big ones, SOAD, PERIPHERY, SLIPKNOT(even though its mostly scream), they jump around on stage making them out of breath making it harder to sing, also the atmosphere makes up for it, you don't get that on youtube videos
4:23 Enter Thehospital
I do. In the scheme of things Sky Arts and Enter Shikari are low-key so I doubt Sky would commit an engineer to mix it post show. Hence why I think the reason it's bad is because it was either a live or FoH mix just rushed straight to tape.
44:49 Rou's like what u looking at! JUGGERNAUTS
some gigs they play tight with all the energy some they don't, either way its still fucking awesome
In Porto about 2/3 weeks ago that went wrong during destabilise. The vocalist got hitted in the nose
actually this was before hackney
nah its just cos their english. dubstep was kickin around in england since like 2002 . its only blown up in america in the last few years
Why not though, you see some concerts where they just have a mic stand and can remove the mic when needed. Why does it have to be corded. It doesn't have to be like an earpiece...
can anyone tell me what the instrument Rou is using to make the electronica sounds please? :D
Wrong! Every mic / audio line goes to a splitter rack which splits each line 3 or more times: 1 output goes to front of house (the line arrays), 1 goes to monitors (artist IEMs / stage wedges) and the last goes to the OB truck - all 3 get EXACTLY the same thing and are able to mix it the way they want.
This is the broadcast mix, done in the TV OB truck. This is the Sky Arts footage - do you really think Sky would broadcast the front of house mix?
Shame the sound in the Big Top was so low!
It wouldn't look right at a metal/hardcore/rock gig with wireless mics. Also, they are much more reliable technically.
"YOUR FUCKING WITH ME"
Rou, where are those brutal inhales gone? :P
What did that girl say again in the beginning? I missed it
oh c'mon it wasn't like that. Rory was just flipping up and down his guitar during the breakdown and it randomly hit Rou.
Apparently Enter Shikari (the song) is actually just called "Enter" o.o
I didn't think warm smiles was that bad :) The mix let the song down, i think it made it sound a bit empty.
I think they found it hard to play Warm smiles do not make you welcome here
I watch this now just to remind me how mixing can make or break even the best music :/ poor warm smiles :(
I don't get why Chris never plays bass in the drum n bass bit of sssnakepit. It would flesh it out andd make it sound so much better.
there are alot of mainstream bands/ppl who suck really bad at singing live, but u never see their fans leaving them do u?
Which is the track where the bassist came off the stage?
The live mix is different from broadcast mix...the live mix is fixed by a sound engineer and someone who knows what he's doing...the broadcast mix is probably done by some tv sound guy who doesn't know how to mix live bands...
yeah Rou has some throat problems these past few months according to his twtitter
That pisses me off so much when they keep changing the ending of Sorry, You're Not a Winner. It was amazing the original time, but they just had to drag it out -____-
i preferred it when they only played the korg synthy thing noise (I aint a Musician :/) on the last course of sorry, IDK why i kinda just do!
How did you find this?
Not quite Reading 2010 standard. :P
enter shakira
Did Rou have like a breakdown in the middle of Gandhi? Hahaha
Why is Sorry you're not a winner's key low unlike the original melody?
this dudes were doing all that dubstep shit before it was cool, props :)
narh rou uses wired as its more reliable
How about 38:36
who is letlive?
i miss the proper SYNAW :'( with the drum intro and all that jazz :/
No Arguing With Thermometers??
hackney weekend was the first time but they are enter shikari so who gives a shit if they make a mistake
WHY DIDN'T THEY ARGUE WITH THERMOMETERS?!?!
if you were working there for them why didnt you do something about it?
Dude at the start looks like a bearded PewDiePie!
clearly you havent seen letlive. xD
07:42 BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR WTF?
do you listen to the lyrics to their songs? if you did, you'd realise that just what they talk about proves their IQ is at least triple yours, and also prove that they're not emo. and that they're talented.
You do realise that when you take audio mixed for a £100,000 live array system, and then play it through a pair of headphones or a computer, it sounds horribly out of balance?
So in fact the sound engineer did a stellar job. And it's just the fault of the broadcaster for being lazy and just taking the live mix rather than remixing it to a suitable balance for broadcast?
36:10 "Fack you"
how the fuck can you make your mind up from ONE show.....
