While those people complain about her drumming she's sitting at home with awards and millions.
@@franciscoo.7543 Yeah, they tend to keep company of other smart people so Im sure that leaves you out of it .
I love how from 19:44 to 20:30 Meg keeps a beat while having no idea what Jack is gonna do next, and then how she picks up on it and goes into Catch Hell Blues. Knowing that there's no setlist and that everything is improvised makes it that much better to watch.
Rob Jenn I don’t think that was the point, the point is that she improvises and that she doesn’t know what jacks gonna do next
Rob Jenn You sound like someone looking at modern art going, “My kid could paint that.”
This man is a fucking legend. One of the greatest guitarists and frontmen of all time
@SaintCharlez Productions™ sometimes basic riffs are just enough and he does that perfectly
I don't really get why all the hate for Meg White. I mean sure, if you ask her to play a Dream Theater song, she won't make it past the 1st measure. But if you were to ask Portnoy or Mangini to play with Jack White some White Stripes tunes, I guarantee you, Portnoy and Mangini will ruin it. My point is, Meg White's drumming is the perfect fit for Jack's guitar parts and that's all what matters.
Trollstation123
adorable cute and powerful is what she has going on, and that can't be added to. There is only those two onstage which I think speaks for itself. like the perfect and flawless engineering of the mouse trap, it wouldn't work without every piece but yet only needs a handful of parts. I said it... flawless
Meg has headlined pretty much every major festival across the globe, played to a combined audience even new bands will never see, had number one albums, multiple gold, platinum and double platinum certifications, won multuple awards, and all these bedroom boys and nowhere band drummers practicing their triplets and bonzo fills and their double bass pedals etc just cant deal with it. Pobrecita!
zoso11 That's a testament to Jack, not Meg. He really is a one-man show. Meg contributes little beyond her bustline.
Her simple style is perfect for the White Stripes, yes, but a little more variation in her rhythm patterns would have been nice. It's all kick-snare-kick-kick-snare.
Sometimes less IS more...a million fills could fill the empty space, but sometimes the empty space speaks volumes...
music of a generation. you'll never hear anything else like it.
Led zeppelin , The Stones , i think they were there first but The White Stripes are good respect your seniors
qwer8907 I don't think the importance of it all falls on who came first but more on how the future generations evolve the genre.
+Monsieur Candie can't compare with Jimmy Page...as we saw it demonstrated on "It Might Get Loud"
Im sad because i will never hear them in a concert
on the bright side, jack white still plays some white stripes songs in his concerts.
bruh me too I only watch white once but I really like to see the white stripes :C looks fuckin lit
@@peytonstein8616 but its not the same version this is more garage
While there's life, there's hope. It's entirely possible they may decide to do another album at some point, and maybe if we're really lucky, a small tour. They're both still alive, and I don't think they hate each other. Keep the faith yall.
The fact that they improvise the entire set and don't plan what songs to play ahead of time makes this even more awesome.
jack white, one of the most underrated guitarists of all time
I honestly don't understand why people complain about Meg White. If it wasn't for Meg White, the White Stripes wouldn't have existed in the first place. Sure you don't listen to this band for the amazing drumming, but you can't deny how unique it is and how easily recognisable it is. It's kind of iconic. Jack's other bands and solo stuff are good but way more "polished" compared to The White Stripes. Being mainly a fan of The White Stripes, I feel like it's missing something.
What are you talking? Meg White's drumming *is indeed* amazing and she's way better than any other drummer who ever lived.
Sure, how polished an album sounds doesn't determine how good an album is, in my book anyway. Though I do have to say I think Blunderbuss and Lazaretto are as good as any WS album, all great.
@@BaronKimball I don’t get this, she made millions playing drums, she’s obviously good. Then you go around saying schmucks like Matt Garstka are “good” when their bands don’t have nearly as many plays. Being a good musician is based completely on how popular you are, fool.
Am I the only one who has just discovered how beautiful Jolene is?
Meg White one of my all-time favourite drummers and I'm being dead serious
The vibe where the title cards are constantly off because they're sliding in and out of songs so quickly is golden.
dude has soul
XD That moment when they all start humming Seven Nation Army and he's like "Shit, all of my music they've heard is this and I'm playing all this other stuff... Oh well, Jolene time."
Anybody who says that Meg is a bad drummer has clearly missed the point of the White Stripes.
0:00 My Doorbell
4:35 Effect an Cause
7:35 Hotel Yorba
9:57 Jolene
13:20 Cannon
15:50 Ball and Biscuit

42:35 Apple Blossom
44:50 I'm Slowly Turning Into You
49:30 Seven Nation Army
Meg looks so happy throughout this show, I love it.
If you talked to me back in '07 I would have told you the White Stripes were the best band in the world, but somehow I still didn't appreciate them enough. This show is glorious. It makes me think that it's virtually impossible to appreciate something great fully in the moment. You are too immersed in the journey to really see the scenery as it comes by. You miss so many details. I really appreciate this video being here and getting a chance to relive this and appreciate it more fully with the passing of years.
Sometimes you revisit a group you slept on and realized you missed greatness. Happens all the time.
Little do most of these people know, Jack is laying some real old rock and blues on them with a punked up, Primus feel. I'm sure some think this is a totally new sound.
+Frankincensed Yes, grew up on Zep, then started listening to the Violent Femmes (couldn't get Blister in the Sun out of my head) on Pandora, that lead to all of this!!! Ain't it great?
That Jolene cover left blisters all over my face - impeccable - genius - perfect
❤ Meg's face. It's like she's sayin'...
"This is me not giving 3 fignewtons about haters on CZcams comment sections."
I went to this concert, after them came the smashing pumpkins and let me tell you that this was the best concert of the night
What a fucking musician, he changed tuning on his fucking guitar during a song.
Fuck me, that's badass.
+Bruce Robertson Yeah... no one else on the planet has ever done that before... SMH
+TheWitchOvAgnesi actually, I have seen it and I've also seen some artists play blues
Bruce Robertson that's just what I wanted to hear, thank you, I am s girl by the way
roy_for_real You look like a 40 year old who wants to look like a 16 year old, it's incredible.
Must be terrible for them to keep hearing the crowd singing Seven Nation Army every time they finish a song, like it's their only song.
yeah it must suck to have written one of the most popular songs ever written sang to you by thousands of people
I was on this Concert it was fucking amazing, and i was ashamed of the crying for seven nation army. like they were an one hit wonder
I don't know how they feel, but it's annoying as hell to hear the riff from Seven Nation Army in EVERY SINGLE high school and college sporting event. Jesus.
I just love how Jack just decides he wants to play in open D right after Ball and Biscuit. While tuning his guitar it's still sounds musical. Jack's energy and showmanship live is on an other level! Also the person in charge of song title flash screen probably hated this because The White Stripes never went on stage with a set list either.
this might sound silly but meg white made me want to play drums when i was a teenager lol... always loved her simplistic style
40:10 It‘s 2007 guys
I like the way Meg moves her head whenever she’s drumming lol
10 people on that stage wouldn't have had the same charisma as just those two up there.
I don't know how this can be disliked
+katiemiaana Same, went on this concert with the one with 5 million views, all they were talking about is how boring meg sounds.....like...I guess they dont understand blues.
The ones who dont do not understand the true value of those gifted in music. Most ppl just listen to wrap. Or rock or pop so on and so forth.if i hear something in any genre. From any specific instrument in any certain song i end up loving it.
One thing about Jack during this era is his technical skills are sharp. Those amplifiers cut man and megs drumming is just fun as hell.
I like meg. Kind of human i trust .
When he made tunning his guitar into a intro thing 😂👏👏👏
+intoxicated if you know what to listen for in a tuning its really easy...it sounds like he using a tuning used in slide guitar...that way you don't have to mess around with chords since your tuning is already a chord....so one finger slide sound great.
I love the interaction between meg and jack onstage
Meg White the sexiest drummer ever. She was the fuel to Jack's otherworldly guitar licks...You two took us on a journey every show. I look forward to your next tour :)
Meg is the white stripes drummer. And she’s perfect.
Scrolling through the comments on all their videos makes me realize just how divisive this band is for listeners lol you really do either love them or hate them. Jack, though he possesses all means to display musical virtuosity, has always been more interested in the emotion conveyed through a song and performance. This can fool many to believe he is not talented. This is not the case. Jack simply finds beauty in different things than those who dislike his music. This means you either see the same beauty or you don't, which all comes down to the lens by which you look through to find value in music. It's different for everyone.
Just GREAT!
17:45 Jacks tuning is on point during this love that
Every time I hear they play, never cease to put a smile on my face
Oh my god. This is so perfect. Live White Stripes always gets me.
When I let this concert on for a couple of songs I can´t stop till ti ends.
Amazing concert! Wish I had a time machine to go there
The best show I've seen in years. So raw and exciting!
such a kick ass band
I was blown away when i heard it was jack n meg doin all this.
I have been familiar with them since the beginning, but never really got into them until now. Great sound.
Man, I just love seeing performers having fun, and TWS surely do that
I love how they play both relaxing and heavy musicfav band of all time
I'm going through a bunch of White Stripes concerts and watching them "in order" by year. I already miss The Nurse live 😄
I remember when i was a child listening to this... 2015 and i'll never get tired of it!
Very Cool!!
I love them!! saw them in munich in 2007 at Zenith
Love the strips perfect performance
MAN I wish I'd seen them live. awesome, thanks for the upload
Потрясающее выступление. Обожаю их
love them and love Meg!
Iconic show
Bring back Meg, we miss her!
best stuff since the early 80s
Este señor no es de este planeta. No me canso de ver este show. Un grande sin dudas.
COMO DUAS PESSOAS PODE TER TANTA CRIATIVIDADE ROCK AND ROLL THE BEST
Сильно. Пробирает до костей!
miss you, meg
Jack white es un maldito genio! Con tan poco puede hacer maravillas..
Nothing like this. Thanks Jack & Meg.
'the white stripes' can be the inspiration
27:02 Jack forgetting the lyrics is so silly, yet so hard to watch when I imagine myself in his shoes
I feel you, Jack
AMAZING
favourite band
I've seen hundreds of comments defending meg white but not one comment complaining about her.
Everyone’s looking to stir the pot. People aren’t happy unless they’re bitchin’ about something lol
i love the drums, and i love brunettes!
his enthusiasm to play and sing are everything
The "Haley's Comet" of all-time rock bands.
It’s not about how many times you screw up. It was never about sounding perfect. What’s important is if you have the mojo. And as a band, TWS had mojo. Jack White has oceans of mojo.
thanks for posting!! love it !!
Thanks for posting this 👌 enjoyed it
I miss them so much wish they would play again I don't think they will jack got the dead weather and his own thing going on meg was his wife goes to show don't jam with your other meg you were half of the band so good you rock
so sad ill never be able to see them
incredible
Thank you.
The one thing I don't like about be a Gen-Z kid is that I wasn't old enough nor had the money to see The White Stripes live before they broke up.
a time when no one held cell phones and blocked the view for short people like me
great song
Greate!!!
jack singing 'la la la lalala' in seven nation army is the most beautiful lalallala I've never hear😍😂😍😂😍
Meg is spectacular!!!!!
She's beautiful. Love her
Legendäre Nacht damals. Danke ihr White´s
Most cute drumer
Meg's face at the beginning of Jolene! She is so cute!
so pure.
Holy shit, I just saw Jack White live last night and he was still playing that kooky white acoustic guitar. It's 2018, and this was recorded in 2007 😮🎸🤘
The bass player didnt miss a single note, what a legend
Think he missed all of them to be fair!
this band is life proof that bassist are useless
