Had a chance to visit the Legendary Misako Boxing Gym in Nerima City, Tokyo, Japan. The gym has been running in Japan since 1960 and produced a number of world champions, Japanese champions and OPBF Champions. Ryota Murata turned pro out of this gym!
The gym was established by former Japanese and OPBF champion Hitoshi Misako and in 2014 he handed the reigns down to his son Takashi Misako who runs the gym to this day and is featured in this video.
The gym is also used frequently for WBC & WBA light flyweight champion Ken Shiro whenever he’s in Tokyo from Training away from his home base in Kyoto

I love the boxing culture here in Japan. That's why I want to train out here for sure.

I never see foreigners training there. How difficult is it to go train there?

@@apenas10 They give you great work. The sparring can definitely get brutal. I've been in sparring sessions where both my sparring partner and I would have bloody noses. But it's great and the gym atmosphere is good.

#MisakoBoxingGym in Japan 🇯🇵. "Fighters in Japan have one trainer and belongs to the gym that promotes him 🤔." Nothing more."

@@otonworldproductions a pair of winnings in japan is still about $180usd for 8-12oz. upwards to $360 for 16oz. but the gym is sponsored being one of the best and probably a small discount.
