The right kernel can also blur your image. And a really smart approach can even give you a bokeh like defocus blur. Or a box blur. Convolutions are a lot of fun.
Writing a custom fuse to go even crazier sounds like a lot of fun.

I watched the whole tutorial! As always, very informative, is it the different ways to invert an image or the many different ways to create an edge detect effect. I always just used the Edge detect effect but this is something else. Finally, the bit with 3D was pretty cool. There's just so much that can be done with Davinci Resolve.

Great informative video! Do you have any hints or links to deeper understanding of the costum filter in resolve?
Don't think many people need that because of the available other tools. But if you want to, I suggest starting with the Wikipedia article on Convolution filter amd start from there...

Excellent! Very informative.
When downloaded materails i found proxy files and original files. All effects I'm doing with proxy files and no idea how to change later to original files in fusion. Would be nice if you show how to change proxy files with effects and keyframes in fusion without redoing all effects
If you use the media from the media bin in the provided project, then you automatically have both and just turn on prefer camera originals in the playback- proxy settings. But that was also the project setting in the archive I provided.
