You can watch that movie Like a crazy , so sad kind of and beautiful. Telling how hard it canbe try to love and be with your love. Allso it tells how you gonna find yourself, growing, to be mature. I love this song and Jimin . I really enjoy it. Jimin is so unique , his voice is like silk and his looks, beautiful, handsome and sexy in same time. All great works of art have multiple interpretations, so here's mine: Not a love song and is not as sexual as it seems despite the innuendos. Jimin said that its about escaping reality to deal with one's wounds. The "she" he is referring to isn't necessarily about a love interest but possibly represents Jimin's Anima. We see a girl whose movements mirror Jimin in the mv, they never meet before Jimin cuts to looking at himself in the mirror. What does the Anima means? - An individual's true inner self that in the analytical psychology of Carl Jung reflects archetypal ideals of conduct. Your anima is the unconscious part of your mind that works automatically, without introspection or awareness. Some psychologists believe your anima affects your dreams, fears, and habits (loop this back to what the song is all about). Also the Anima is an inner feminine part of the male personality. Hence the boy and girl kissing is probably Jimin's masculine and feminine side coming together.
The person with muddy hands who grabbed Jimin is Jimin himself. What do the mud represent? I'm not 100% sure, but my own personal reading is its Jimin's depression related to covid (and the lack of live performances which he defined himself to) and long standing anxiety. These are the wounds mentioned but not elaborated by our Mochi. In the mv, Party Jimin is interrupted by the mud and he has to go home to Sad Jimin. Which of the 2 Jimins is in the real world? I haven't figured that out yet :( Maybe both of them are not, hence the dreamlike feel of the mv. Jimin himself asked not to be saved and not to be waken up from the dream. He doesn't want to go back to reality...
This mv reminds me of Suga's SHADOW but we are dealing with a different part of the SELF here, one not explored by BTS yet 🙂. RM did PERSONA while Jhope did EGO.

even though this is a long comment i hope dima reads it haha! this is also my interpretation, jimin has struggled with his identity for a while and felt he had to act a certain way but seeing him strip it all down (metaphorically 😭) in face is so beautiful.

Jimin also elaborated that the dream he wants to stay in is BTS - the performing and making music, the Army support. He doesnt want this dream to end but it must be a constant anxiety at the back of each of the members mind.

Also these themes have been running throughout BTS discography since HYYH and Wings era through to Map of the Soul 7 - if you havent dived into their lyrics and video story arc youre missing half of the fun and mastery of BTS

The whole album is about his struggle with depression and self doubt. Like crazy is about him self medicating. He drinks so he doesn’t have to face anything. Set me free is the same he wants to be set free. The auto tune parts during call and response are almost like his inner demons telling him negative things. I bawled listening to alone. It’s sad to know that behind his smile is so much hurt and sadness.

The whole Album is named FACE..
BIGHIT themselves said: "FACE" is all about Jimin facing himself head-on as he gets ready for his next step as a solo artist. They also wrote:
Circle of Resonance:
"reflection" of vulnerable minds and unexposed wounds. Face, the reflection of myself in and unfamiliar appearance. Face of facing the deepest part of inner-self. (->Circle of Resonance has also something to do with the three circle Album Covers etc..)
I also read somewhere that reflections just reflect each other, don't meet, that's why they walk in circles or follow each other..
So the person who pulled Jimin into the party with a dirty hand, like himself at the end, was the girl.. she supposed to be his reflection (but her muddy hand was already dry and „crusty“ but Jimin‘s muddy hand at the end was wet and obviously new..🤔)
(there are also some theories that he chose a girl because “like crazy" actually is about having a conflict between masculine and feminine sides, trying to accept but never actually coming into terms with himself and that's why they never met in MV. bc it stressed him out it was easier to get lost in the feeling of euphoria partying gives you)
-> if you look at jimin's journey the way his style changed, the way his body changed, he was talking a lot in past years about accepting himself and feeling comfortable in his own body so yeah it could make sense.. Jimin also once said: „What the hell is men?“ and said that he wanted to appear like a strong men back than (his muscles, gestures, style..)
= so „she“ is himself. (The girl is also wearing clothes with the same concept as his hard wear outfits)
Fact: the song Like Crazy is also inspired by the Movie Like Crazy (the voices at the start and end of the song are dialogues of it)-> Jimin said about the movie: I thought it would be very romantic and sweet, but it turned out that it's actually a very realistic and stark depiction of a breakup.
But you don’t have to worry about him..
Jimin also said in an Interview:
I'm so thankful to my members for inspiring me to start working on this album. I don't know how people are going to react to the music, but I actually was able to completely resolve and move on from all those feelings of being lost. I'm perfectly okay now, so I'm so very thankful to them. I just wrote the emotions as they were, exactly how I felt two years ago, and the emotions that I felt in every situation [at that time/Covid].
Another ”theory“ out there is that FACE Album has the 5 stages of grief.. witch is probably true because his Album shows us a story about his struggles and how he slowly gets over it etc.. The Album is in that order:
(1. Face-off = Anger, 2. Interlude:Dive = Denial, 3. Like Crazy = Bargaining, 4. Alone = Depression, 5. Acceptance)
Surprise: There is also a hidden track at the end of the Album (just when you buy the CD) named Letter witch starts playing at the end of Set Me Free Pt.2 at minute 06:13 (their debut date) with Jungkook Background Vocals and Jimin playing the guitar.. it’s a Letter to himself, BTS and ARMY -> it’s also the seventh song ( you know 7=BTS etc..)
Another fact: The song Interlude:Dive doesn’t have lyrics but there is a clip from the Busan Concert Yet to Come in it (their last concert together for a long time after a long time and he said: Wuah, Everyone, I missed you so much.

I'm Jimin! ) ..after the ”concert“ we can hear a car driving and doors etc.. and at the end he fills something in a glass and drinks it (alcohol)-> then ”like crazy“ starts playing .. but the other sounds are still a mystery to me in the track.. the heavy breathing or walking or the knocking in the beginning after the -dreamy like- Melody.. it’s just SO much!…
but the way the album goes from him being angry in ”face-off“ (with kinda clown (circus) style music at the beginning) to drinking after a concert in ”Interlude:Dive“ then partying in ”Like Crazy“ then waking up in beginning of ”Alone“ (alarm clock startet playing) (while being alone=depressed) then facing his inner thoughts in ”Set Me Free pt 2” and thanking everyone for helping him go thru everything in the song ”Letter” and that he wants to stay together forever etc..really feels like he is telling a story in order!
Conclusion: Jimin is a genius. And there is probably so much more and don’t forget the visuals with probably some hidden meanings in the Music Video.. (the only thing I know now is who the one guy on his pants is…-> Robert Mapplethorpe -> was an American photographer, best known for his black-and-white photographs. His work featured an array of subjects, including celebrity portraits, male and female nudes, self-portraits, and still-life images. !His most controversial works documented and examined the gay male BDSM subculture of New York City in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

something just struck with me while reading the lyric again. i feel the same way as him but he has actually faced his problem. i am depressed and i tend to be happiest when i am home alone not doing anything but a voice in my mind know that it´s wrong that i should do something about it. i dont use alcohol for my piece of mind, but i know it´s HIS happy place in the darkness.
so the "give me a good ride" means he wants to get drunk not having you know what hehe.
i never noticed that meaning before i thought it was between a love of his because of the ring around his neck. but i think it´s his toxic thoughts trying to consume him in his happy dream/place.
could also be his friends and family trying to help him, but he is not ready to be saved so he runs away from them.
i feel the same. i listen to people talk and it makes sense but it´s not before i se jimin struggle with the same thing that i know he is out of the darkness and can enjoy alcohol in a normal way not unhealthy that could lead to a serious drinking problem.
