In this video we will be listening to all of the songs and reading the lyric translations (this also includes my reaction to the Like Crazy music video!) Kintsugi or golden repair is the art of filling cracks with gold. Jimin used it in his photofolio too
art of Kintsugi fosters the idea that a broken object can be repaired and be made useful once again. accepting imperfections helps us to break free from the obsession of perfectionism which causes unnecessary stress and inhibiting creativity and productivity

To me the key word is also “pandemic” which Jimin did say that this whole album he released is mainly about. Which in turn, caused him to go through so many thoughts, feelings, & emotions, including anxiety, feeling, alone, despair, anguish, as well as depression, & more. Jimin also said he wanted to share with others in hopes it could help them, as well as be able to relate to some of these feelings. Everyone does indeed deal with these kinds of feelings in different ways. Jimin, himself said, in his song Promise, which he also started writing during another time of inner turmoil, & despair, was that it’s best not to hide one’s self in the dark, alone, but to shine the light on yourself, and to speak up for yourself, instead of saying it’s ok, it’s alright, to yourself & others, when it’s not alright. So Jimin has had inner thoughts and emotions such as these somewhat before pandemic at times, like around the time when BTS in early 2018 was thinking of splitting up, right when he started the song, but made it more uplifting and more positive when everything turned better again! I’m sure at certain stages of one’s life there has been situations, and or times that have cause such thoughts, emotions of despair. But not everyone is able to acknowledge let alone talk about them which is therapeutic and helpful as well! I’m sure this process wasn’t easy to get all out and share, but this is situation from past, and as the last song on album says, “Set Me Free”, at the very end it shows that he’s uplifted and free of those feeling pulling him down haunting him! But indeed these songs and lyrics might help others who are going through similar feelings and emotions, so they know they’re not alone out there. Just like how Jimin’s song Promise helped so many others, he’s phoning these songs in this album will have same effect!

I love this album so freaking much. I'm soooo proud of him because I know the pain that he feels in that time. I've been a lot in last 5 years and I cried my eyes out listening to Alone because I know exactly how it feels. And then when he sings letter I cried again because it feels like he is saying to me that he is there for me when I want to cry . I'm emotionally weak right now in my life and I have breakdown sometimes. When I listen to his voice I can feel the pain and that kills me even more. This is my favorite album . And I hope he is out of this depressed mind and he is happy now. I love him so much.💜💜💜💜😭😭

❣️So beautiful how BTS hidden track, like “Sea” and now Jimin’s “The Letter”, are mainly written just for army. It’s like a more personal private message by way of song, meant mainly for army. I mean only army would get the word out about this so heartwarming, so beautiful song. Though anyone who actually listens to the physical Ep will get the wondrous, ever delightful surprise when discovering this song as well. Also more and more are talking about it so ppl other then army are now hearing about this hidden gem as well!

jimin is amazing he has a way of making you feel every song without knowing what it is about. i always listen to the songs without lyrics first and it i just sat with my eyes closed and i felt like going into a trance or something the entire album. but it woke me up when set me free pt 2 came on and that´s exactly what he intended. because he is setting himself free, but part of the song you go down and when he sings the cores you wake up.
it´s like he if fighting to not get dragged down again. it´s truly a masterpiece of an album. not many artists can do that. MJ did it with some of his songs. and BTS but not all their songs. some songs is just ment to be a bop you know. BTS has music for all so you don´t need to look elsewhere.

My favorite is Set me free pt2, it was all i was hoping from Jimin, my others favs are Face off and Alone, they are so beautiful and vulnerable, i also like Dive, my last favorite is Like crazy it isn't the type of music i usually go for, the same with some BTS songs, but i'll support Jimin.
I can relate to Alone a lot too, but after listening to Face i was sad and worryed for Jimin, i truly hope he is ok now i wish him happiness and love for his lifetime.
Maybe i'm just crazy but when i saw Jimin in PTD era i got the feeling he was kind of lost, i guess the album was made around that time.
And Letter is so beautiful, he's always giving love and making us army and the boy happy, i love him so much.

Set Me Free IS utterly beautiful but I'm still undecided on what's my favourite. They are all so different and so different from what we heard of HIM! I LOVE Like Crazy. It just feels different from the type of songs Dua and Weekend puts out and it goes in better idk if you know what I mean

Hey Landon, hope you're having a great time celebrating your bro's bday 😊I didn't get "creepy" at the beg of Face Off...I actually chuckled, cos I thought it was a ref to one of the bits on the piano that Jimin always played cos he didn't know many pieces 😄, but then of course it slurs off into "distorted" like you said. Like you, I preferred Set Me Free Pt 2, for its drama & intensity, and after hearing Like Crazy I was a bit confused why that was the title track instead. But after quite a few listenings it has grown on me a lot. Yday evg I had it on again & it suddenly hit me what it made me think of ... as someone who lived through all the 80s music & loved the synth sounds... both with the 80s vibes musically, but more especially the way Jimin sings the verses, it really gives me the feels of George Michael's songs (and I don't mean anything in that other than what I'm saying) - he too had the same way of singing quietly & intimately but with such an amazing voice - that's what I love about Like Crazy. I read that Dive uses sound from the Busan concert. Oh but Letter!!! 😮🥰I hadn't heard it, as I haven't got the physical album yet, but it made me cry..it's so beautiful & so honest & loving ...and hopeful💖All I can say is Thank you Jimin so much for trusting us enough to put all your feelings out there like this...and I hope you are now in a much better place 💜

at first i was like you with set me free pt2 but now idk anymore they are all good but i think like crazy is my favorite. at first i didn´t know what i thought but the more i listened the more obsessed i got. but letter is also my favorite when it comes to B sides. idk and i also feel worried about him but i think it´s about his conflicted self.

I love 80s music so gotta go with the often used synth pop sound from that era in Like Crazy. Every line in the song is so catchy and the song gives you that drunken happiness that I don’t know how else to describe it
