I really liked the survival horror sections a ton! Makes me kinda hope they might try to make a full game based on the genre itself. And yes the platforming needs a lot of work. Enemy design in this game is willlllllld

The game is easy to plat, yet we still continue to play it for the ng+ nanosuits and to max out eves stats for hard mode.

Huge congrats on the platinum. I'm glad you did a review of the game. Cause i trust your judgement more than some other reviews ive seen. One reviewer finished the game in 22 hours and then complained that the game was too short but when people in the comments asked how much of the game he did he never answered. Also said there was no clear point of no return and everybody in the comments was like they literally tell you when it is 😂

Honestly, I'm looking forward to having some free time to play. When I played the demo it gave me the feel of Sekiro or Lies of P with a dash of the style that Devil May Cry and Final Fantasy XVI had.
Lies of P is still on my to play list!

I love the BGM that plays during the Raven duel. That duel also took me 6 tries to clear but that was the most fun duel from the game due to its difficulty spike (took my time remembering how to tap into my Sekiro (my first Fromsoft game) playstyle during those 6 tries) and again, the banger soundtrack.
Man it took me an hour to beat tachy...
I been watching your channel for awhile but I don't think I have ever posted!! Love your videos, they helped me a lot when trying to get better at DMC. They are very chill and informative :) BTW, I think my favourite outfit is Red Passion because it looks like ADA's outfit from Resident Evil series. Or, Cybernetic Dress because of the robotic arm.

Eve is an android that why her can't show human emotions, and my favourite outfit is Chain-type Exospine 8:19 also congrats on the platinum
My favourite has to be the Ruby/Emerald Passion.
Just love those Lacey fabrics and, leather jeans and that futuristic plastic-like see-through open back with the spine motif.
My favorite is between the black dress i believe it's called and the yellow jumpsuit. I like the actual fashionable stuff. That said wow do i wish i could have different kinds of shoes because the ones in game are terrible... you even unlock a swimsuit but it has high heels lol
Some of the floating heels look very peculiar...
I've never understood not giving women practical shoes in games. Just imagine tifa from ff7 in heels. I'm a guy and I was uncomfortable as hell watching her run around in space heels

At the moment the cyber dress is my fav but I do like the others as well but I'm only just now entering the waste land
My three favorite suits are (in no particular order):
- Red passion. The black leather pant with a red shirt, so classy.
- Orca suit. The bodysuit with a transparent jacket that let see the cyber spine is so cool. Especially the NG+ variant with the white jacket.
- Planet diving suit for the Leon like jacket alone, because I not a big fan of the big dumb lacing on the side of Eve legs.
On the subject of outfits, may not be gameplay beyond getting thirty of them for a trophy, not gonna lie that I actually like that the game has so many. I pretty much could not settle on a single one and change costumes every so often. That includes even the second or third variations you get on another playthrough. Cultured camera angles might play a part in that, too. :p Either way, controversy or not, Stellar Blade still gives us so many outfits to choose from, while other games charge us more and give us less.
If you're talking sheer hotness, Ocean Maid is top tier for outfits. But Four Seasons Biker is really good for that classy look, it's the best recolor by far over the Daily Biker since it adds some color. I'm also a big fan of the lolita dress variations.
done with FF7 Rebirths platinum and after playing through Stellar Blade and loving it im deffo going for this plat aswell. my 2nd fav game of the year after Rebirth

BTW, how do you get a platinum trophy? By never being killed on hard or some such? Sorry, but I'm new to these sorts of games.
My all time favorite Nanosuits have been Junk Mechanic, Raven, Black Full Dress, Orca, Wasteland Adventurer, Racer's High, Planet Diving Suit 6th, Orca, and Sky Ace. Normal mode you will forget about those shield very easily because you do so much damage. So I did Hard Mode and not the New Game Plus and the Shields and Parry do become more important during that play through with how little damage you do. I'm not 92 hours in working on New Games Plus and I'm pretty OP right now in the beginning section.
I always come back to the Raven suit, despite its flaws. It looks so good.
all outfits are great but I think that the full black planet diving suit (the 2nd one) is more fitting for the game as a whole.
My favorite outfits are the sporty yellow and wasteland and adventurer and racers high both versions some others also but yeah

Platinum for 46 hours… you’re a beast! I just finish the game first time and it took 40 hours on normal mode for me
I didn’t really upgraded her moves which even with perfect parrys the bosses didn’t die easily which honestly I am glad because killing them fast and easy would be boring

actually, Stella Blade can be said to be the child of their previous game, Blade & Souls.
And the personalities of Eve and Adam are like the male and female protagonists of a K-drama. It might be unfamiliar to Western people.
Blade & Souls is a game from Korean NC Company.
Shift Up's Stella Blade development team members are the ones who developed Blade & Souls in NC.
Many people don't know about Blade & Souls, so they think it's inspired by famous action games.
genuinely all the need to fix for the sequel would be to work on localization/translation issues which affected the script and voice work, because i've seen the English VA's for Eve and Lily able to pull off emotional range in other games so I really do think there was something about the localization of the script that made the delivery of cutscenes come off as stunted --
although I would love the next game to double-down on being like NieR Automata, I really want them to experiment with emotional story telling and complex psychological themes, some tweaking here and there with the gameplay and they have the potential to make one of the best games of all time, I'm crossing my fingers because I want that for ShiftUp so bad, I see the immense potential in them cause it pains to hear people call this game "junk food" or "mediocre" or "coomer bait"
If that’s what some people think the game is then hey sometimes people just hate on things to hate on them it’s not going to change anything, I say just enjoy the game and ignore what other people say about it, I’ve actually seen nothing but praise for the game to be honest.

@@fentyykatsucorp Well let’s hope they actually listen to the fans, the people actually buying and playing the game and enjoying it, because I hate it when companies listen to journalists that hate the game and never even played Stellar Blade, it sickens me how much influence journalists have with gaming companies.
i enjoyed this game so much! the "secret ending" took me by surprise! most anime ending ever!
the last boss is cooler tho when you dont do the secret ending which is a bumer

Idk if it seems shallow of me, but i personally dont mind how bland Eve is as a character only because she does cool shit in pretty outfits

I think my biggest problem so far with this game (though I haven't played too much) is that it just looks kinda lame that you are just kinda standing infront of enemies the whole time. theres very little mobility in the combat, even from videos i've found of interesting combos etc. There are some gap closers you have that can give you some mobility, but thats more or less just so that you can stand infront of them more. I didn't mind the more parry style combat in sekiro where it was also a lot of 1v1's standing infront of the person, but this just feels a lot more boring to me, and it looks really bad imo because of that.
Theres a slew of default attacks you have unlocked, but it feels like there just isn't much point to many of them because the rest of the game doesn't give any meaningful reasons to use or not use them. Its far from being bad, but I find it a bit disappointing.
Getting all the nano suits is cool and all, but I never bothered to wear anything other than the Skin Suit. Yes it made the game harder as the suit has no shield, but, like, tiddies..
The real highlights of the game is booty shots
Why the hell do people keep on saying something is like a Souls game because it shares 1 game mechanic with it. It has bonfire like thing -must be a soulslike, it has a dodge -must be a soulslike. It makes as much sense as saying every FPS is Doomlike because it has a first person perspective.
Stellar Blade is nothing like Soulslike game except for that one thing. The story is fleshed out. It's not nearly as hard. It's far less of an RPG and more action game. You don't lose anything when you die. It has both linear and open world sections. List goes on and on. 🤦♂️

Decent game, but I'd rather play Nier Replicant or Automata (which I haven't played) or other older game at a much cheaper price.
Rather than pay 69.99EUR to play this. Like Lies of P, I feel it doesn't do enough and take itself seriously enough as a project by giving excellent WRITING, to warrant the full purchase price. This is where I feel these Korean games come short. They clearly have the technical skill to make great games, but they miss the creative edge to give you a solid story & writing like Japanese studios do. I also have nothing against the sexualisation and character design of the protag, but I do feel that it's a cheap way to sell the game to more gamers who literally will be enticed by tits and ass alone.
You see it as a selling strategy.
Eve's sexual elements are just director Kim Hyeong-tae's fetish and taste.
He's always been emphasizing that for over 18 years.
He just put what he liked into the game.
He said, "Play without wearing Eve's skinsuit if possible."
If he thought the sexual element was just marketing he wouldn't have said that.
I don't know how much you know about Korean games.
There aren't many console games made in Korea.
The MMORPG genre is Korea's biggest game business.

because apart from the actual character design, the character's personality is not sexual and the game actually is focused on gameplay.
It's contradictory about Nier.
Even Nier, which you liked, pulled out a lot of attention because of emphasizing 2B's butt, and 2B's design is still being mentioned about her asset.
You don't know that Nier Automata was called an ass game once.
