    Indoor cycling has become such a major part of the sport/activity in recent times. eRacing via Zwift, training on the Sufferfest (or maybe Trainer Road) and many new and emerging indoor cycling apps coming to the table. So how to you re create the indoor cycling experience? Well, the Wahoo SUF have made something pretty special with Norway. It's as close to racing in the pro peloton as you're going to get. From the comfort of your own home anyway!

    More than 2 years Sufferfest user here, what can I say? Sufferfest adaptive workout algorithm it's amazing, make sure you do a 4DP test, it's not that hard like it seems ;) and you're good to go. Oh yeah, do not forget to have a bucket near you when doing 4DP :D

    I have been using sufferfest for the past 3 years and I love it. I haven't summoned enough courage within to tackle the Norway workout yet but from the looks of it this will soon become 1 of my favs. I might try it out later today or in my next block as we are nearing South African nationals in mid March and this will def help my prep for those nasty attack/sit up then rinse and repeat.

    Great review. I specifically love the fact you point out that Zwift racing isn’t like real racing, I’ve found this myself - there’s rarely any breaks etc and it’s just a big group ride at threshold until the final sprint typically. I Love the concept presented here in Sufferfest’s new Norway video! I’ve got both Sufferfest and Zwift subscriptions but I’ve found myself during lockdown doing more base miles noodling in Zwift and less Sufferfest sessions for some reason and I’m increasingly finding it less motivational and engaging. I’m going to try this new video Monday 👍

    Rode this for the first time today as part of the Tour of Sufferlandria. Loved it! Really interesting to see the similarity in power profile between this and your completely unrelated real race. More to the point, stunning (but not surprising) to see how unrealistic the ZWIFT profile is.

    When I tried Sufferfest earlier in Oct-Nov, I tried, twice, the Team Scream, which I thought was really good.

    If you’re A+ on zwift, races don’t look like that power profile-mine are completely polarized. I don’t race crit city though; I prefer 50-100km road races on the platform which are predominantly races of attrition over punchy climbs

      I guess it depends on the Zwift race but I rarely find I am below zone three, ever.

    Now that Sufferfest belongs to wahoo, it would be wonderful if I could use the SUF outdoor workouts on my wahoo element roam.

    I miss my Sufferfest, you are making me keen to go again mate. When are you going to become a Knight?? what an awesome video that would make haha. Also can you use your power profile? I think you can enter the 4DP numbers in manually, the power profile numbers maybe a little high I guess but multiply by 0.95 or 0.9 would be about right?

    • @roadcyclingacademy6476
      @roadcyclingacademy6476  Před 3 lety

      You can enter them in manually mate! I am a partial Knight but need to be true to the RCA! A rough way to get your FTP would be .95 of your best recent 20mins

    What is the distance of Norway or is it a time based workout? Eg if you have lower power does that mean it'll take you longer to complete?

  • @kilgoretrout2970

    Have you done this in erg mode? Was there any problem with power targets changing all the time?

    Sorry to say. Gets bike fit .. sells bike... uses bike with integrated handlebar and new saddle with older cranks .... if your emphasizing the importance of bike fit .. and I do absolutely love the quality of the vids ... perhaps you should emphasize it’s importance to you . Sorry love your channel but it erks me to see someone sell a bike that they may perhaps fallen in love with due to having superior bike fit

      @@roadcyclingacademy6476 I'm guilty of being an impatient person...and am nitpicking here. But it took until 2:28 to know "what it is" The preamble to this point, chit chat , your buddy using it etc... is irrelevant to me. From about 3:00 minutes on it is pretty solid video. The preamble may suit some but doesn't work for me. In looking at a lot of you tuber cyclists.....the gold standard of getting to the point quickly, concisely is Shane Miller....not a wasted word or second on his how to or review videos. Just my pov, thanks for asking for the feedback.
