"Promises can disappear like writing in the sand"
Should become the classic line for Australian politicians.
Leela Holland [Naturopath] Mam, that's the punch line of all the politicians from everywhere, nevermind, in the West or East and North or South...it's same..
TBF, "Naturopaths" are the kings and queens of broken promises.

Any person born in Australia knows the feeling they get deep down in their guts from this song, we all feel it.

What, dread and fucking sadness for the 250 years of oppression and the countless deaths and absolute power drive from the English?
Maybe because my grandfather was from Aussie… but I’m in NZ and I get this too!

Damn. Beautiful poetry and burning indictment all in one.
This song hits deep in your human soul. If you can not feel it you’re no longer human, just part of the corporate machine
This is one of the best bands Australia has produced. I love that they sing in language and not just English, and that they incorporate traditional instruments and dance.
The music video is very cool. I was surprised to see BHP at 2:40.
@@mrfrenly Mining companies often work on or near Aboriginal communities. They probably have more to do, for both good and evil, with remote communities than most Australians. They can offer jobs and royalties, but they also bring destruction such as the destruction of a 46,000 yro sacred site by Rio Tinto in May 2020.
It may have been a reference to the destruction of Country by mining.
I believe that too but in this day and age everyone is too ignorant (or stupid) to listen to the music or the message.

I came to Perth 2 years ago from India and I have gradually learned to respect Aboriginal people for their culture. I think the only way to solve their problems is by empowering their communities because family and community hold such high values for them, and I love it.
Harry the problem is that there are barely any native aboriginals left that know their way because in the 60’s they would steal the children and take them away from their parents and raise them white people.

💯❤️best song ever written thank you very much 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I was born here, I'm not a person of First Nations people....This song moved me so much, My parents bout the Yothu Yindi album for me... I lived in Townsville and had friends that were aboriginal...I was nieve to the cultural divisions...My friends were just friends...I never saw them as being different, nor aboriginal...I've now realised the divison that we are working on...I love that the aboriginal culture is the earliest culture on earth..That's powerful...Pre dating the Pyramids of Giza and the Roman Empire..I live in a country that is diverse and willing to change their attitudes for the Aboriginal people...You Rock!!!
its difficult isnt it if you not a racist to see racism its confusing its just like why you judging for that just a person get over it (the correct attitude)
thats how everyone starts life and then crazy people fill their heads with shit
the ones that do it they're a bit like the DV people and DV people do it too, one of things they do is they say nasty things about whatever they want to, and whatever is cruel, so they would say things like the aborigines are bad people, they are inbred and so on and so on. and its all about them and how they feel small and horrible and take it out on everyone else. well what happens is right those people that cop that dv they might not be allowed to get an education and thats because the dv people control EVERYTHING and then they are mind controlled by the DV bully and their head gets told lie after lie
and then they one day figure out just how mean that bully was
they even got their victim to think they were the bully
thats how it works
so theres this racist people in australia how many of them are in DV
and is it not the case all the lies we all got told and still get told are like DV because its a mind control story they want out mind controlled for their interests
like the sick game about the referendum you not a racist if you vote yes or no
you are a racist if you choose it because you think black people deserve less than other people
if you chose NO because it ISN'T a treaty and a treaty is deserved by everyone not just the mob then you are SMART because if they are doing emotional manipulation not the real thing then it is DV all over again
racism is DV
because the planet is our home
so wherever we go we are home
and that means every race is our housemates
if you bully them you bully your housemates xxxx
Much respect to the Indigenous Australians.
Hey Mate why say that where is your proof?
More like your an animal, belonging to a race that steals brings disease dispossess peoples land, oppresses people for your own selfish privileges haha, you don't even realise what use are doing in the scheme of life, they have been in Australia for 80,000 years bitch! And everyone else 225 years hahaha so get over your little identity crisis and actually realise that you may be AUSTR Alien but you'll never be the Original man, and the progress that aboriginals made in 50,000 years we have completely destroyed in less then 200 years and I hope I live to see the day where use actually realize just how wrong use were in doing what you did, you may live in this country but you don't know how to take care of it like them, and you may never know because use are so determined on socialism and capitalism and actually don't respect the TRUE country that you live in..and if you can't respect this land and the people and the knowledge then your mind will forever be closed to a systematic unnatural reality and you can die and dwell in that prison with no hope..
+Lashiya Akkascha thats how you say it
if you're going to hang around on the internet, you need to be able to spot an obvious troll lol
the aboriginals got conquered. get over it. 300 years later and the aboriginals now get a life full of free handouts and they still spit in the face of the white man.
Musically, and message-wise this is actually quite a masterpiece.
