Bishops, whether canceled or not, can still ordain. The ordinations may be illicit, but they are valid.

Very unique perspective and good point about how we would think of a Fr Jorge if he were not the pope - nobody would hesitate to criticise him and avoid his parish!

Is St. Joseph, the protector of Jesus and Mary, and Bishop Strickland's namesake, still the patron saint of the universal Church? And isn't he referred to as the "terror of demons "? These days I seldom hear anyone mention him.

Terrible what Pope Francis did to Bishop Strickland. What exactly did Bishop do that caused laity to leave Sacraments? Nothing!!!!
"Hot spots" are attacked -- absolutely. Two examples: Steubenville and Fréjus-Toulon (France), two notably dynamic dioceses that generate conversions to the Catholic faith and calls to the priesthood. And both bishops are persecuted. The seminarians in Fréjus-Toulon are still waiting to be ordained since June 2022, for no given reason, and since Monsignor Rey will not resign, a second bishop is being sent by the Vatican next week (11/14/23). As for the bishop of Steubenville, he was ousted in September and replaced by a retired apostolic administrator, for no given reason, according to both men.
Beyond all specific issues, Francis is seeking to destroy the Catholic Church as fast as he can while he's still alive, similar to when Hitler sought to destroy France after realizing that he had lost WWII.

My feelings are as follows: I attended Holy Trinity Seminary in the late 1980's with Joseph Strickland. As I know him, I'm going to guess that he will tell Rome to "go to hell." There has been a storm on the horizon, indicating a schism on its way. If Francis is hoping to have as part of his disastrous legacy the initiation of a schism which splits the American Catholic Church from Rome, this is what I predicted would initiate that schism. We here in Texas will not put up with it. We already don't like the fact that at a time when we needed a very strong leader to guide the curia, we end up with Karl Marx. None of us will allow this and if the Vatican wants a war, we are more than happy to give them one. As the American Catholic Church provides the majority of the monies which end up in the Vatican Bank, if this ends in schism, it will bankrupt the Roman Catholic Church and THAT will be Francis' legacy. Nice job. A homoheretic such as James Martin moves about freely and preaches heresy. Bishop Strickland preaches orthodoxy and they (try) to remove him. Besides a Banana Republic for an American government, we have a Banana Republic for a Church. Stunning.

I’ve seen the schism coming for decades, along with the end times. Now that we’re on the brink, I see what was meant “and there will be confusion, even for the elect” paraphrasing. In schism, there are two sides- do we continue following apostolic succession, or follow the orthodox break-away? God help us.

Disgraceful! If I were Strickland, I would attend all of the usual Sunday Masses with my Tyler flock (maybe rotating churches each week) and disrupt false pulpit teachings by walking out (taking along with all my faithful parishioners). Then everyone can stand outside the church while he preaches his own message and refutes the Bregoglio shill. They can silence him from the pulpit, but not from the neighborhood park!!
He should've stopped pushing misinformation, bad theology, and heresies. Strickland is a victim of being swayed by unscrupulous individuals pushing lies. SSPX is a cancer.

Pope Francis seems to regard all clergy at what ever level as merely his employees. Popes come and go but the faith and truth are eternal. Agree with me or not but how is it that a humble, ignorant member of the Catholic Church feel that I have a better grasp of it all than the earthly leader of my Church? I don't hate the Pope but I feel that he is a danger to my soul as I don't actually love him as I love myself.

why would Pope Francis not like the Latin Mass. Its an option for those that like it. Its not for everyone. But I get it. Some people need "milk and graham crackers and thier Ipad at church" I have visited some Christian churches with all the bands and pizza.....striving to be "relevant to the times" I feel sorry for them.
Go to the latin mass that is sung.....its an experience to show reverence to God in that manner.. Its about worship to God....not your entertainment!

Do you ever watch Michael Lofton's comments on this? I watched his video, seems like the reason for dismissal was not due to Traditionis Custodes but his accusing Pope Francis of heresy, in a letter? I also want to know what more will come out about this. Would like your thoughts or even to engage with Lofton's take on this.
I would not trust lofton , look at his show where he had a religious defending the use of the evil pacamamma , calling good evil and evil good , a true popesplainer .
Lofton makes a LOT of money trying to explain away the many errors of Francis.
Whivh is better? To lead a prayer rally against the SOPI or to offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in reparation? Seems like a no brainer.

What about some of the terrible popes in the past? Their actions shouldn’t be criticized? Ever? Christ told us to examine actions (for example-A good tree bears good fruit and vice versa.) I cannot see how it is wrong to do what Christ told us to do.
I recognize Francis is our Pope. I totally acknowledge that. However, its okay to examine his actions.
