During the filming of this, the whole crew was crying at the end. Gary Valenciano, the original singer asked Morissette to perform this and rearranged it for her with no frills and this was the result. She is THE best story teller out there. It baffles me that she isn’t a huge hit in the U.S.

s Philippines Gospel Musical called, " First Name". Gary V. recorded the song following the play. He wanted a female voice and rearranged this for Morissette to sing, as a tribute and honor Freddie who passed away in Dec. 2020 in a revived version of the play called..." First Name Anew " Dave Lamar, Mori's husband ( 6/2021) is a Christian from a Missionary family that runs a Orphanage called ," Faith, Hope & Love Kids Ranch " and helped re-affirmed Mori's faith in Jesus.

Damn y’all I was not trying to cry today but had to see you reaction to this. For all the people who call Mori just a belter take this and put it in ur pipe and smoke it baby. Mori can sing ethereal songs all day everyday and be just as impactful. Gary arranged this specifically for her voice and you are right after hearing hers no need to hear his. That goes for ANYTHING she sings cover or original.
Her voice carry sooo much weight of emotion, especially on gospel song or worship. However is hard for anyone to be invested to it unless they are christian. And believe in the word of gospel from the Lord Jesus amen 🇨🇦🙏thank you guys
Every time Morissette sing songs like these, she literally owned it vocally and emotionally. Her way of delivering the song is just so genuine and it is really effective. I heard her sing one of her original songs that talks about gospel and God same as this one, and it is called "Waterwalk". I never see her perform that Live, but the lyric video of that song just hits differently. It's a good, yet underrated, song. You should check that out.

Morissette Literally cry singing yhat song on the last part. Because even she is feeling blessed while singing that song in ONE TAKE.

I believe they did a revival of the soundtrack for the musical and Morissette sang this song and Gary Valenciano did the arrangement for her. She really knows how to convey the emotions of this song. Thank you for reviewing this song. It’s a worship song. I’ve seen the video so many times, from different reactors like yourselves and the song still makes my eyes watery. There was an interview where Mori mentioned that the song was really hard to sing because there were so many words. I believe she got it right on the 2nd take. Thank you both!
Katrina Velarde is another powerhouse diva that can blow you away. She's famous for singing/belting without breathing for 42 seconds with riffs and runs. You will be amazed. Morissette and Katrina are my favorite female artists from the Philippines.

This is just a song, I believe written by another Filipino artist, Gary Valenciano, a discussion between her and God. BUT, her wedding video is awesome. It will have you balling like a baby. Especially when you realize she has no family there to support her, since dad disapproved of her relationship, then tried to destroy his daughters reputation and character via social media and news outlets. Her song, "love you still" is the song they wrote to reach out to her family. The "sunset version" of that song is my favorite and just came out.
