Quick tip muy Thai tip to add , when throwing an elbow it is better to have your palm open than a close fist . It relaxes the muscles around your elbow making it sharper
lol found the dude who trains. I’m actually kinda intrigued by using it in MMA. Hiding behind your small gloves is a bad idea, but a lot of these 52 demonstrations have a lot of bullshido going on
I’ve been studying martial arts for over 40 years and this is the first time I’ve come across this; it looks simple and therefore effective. Good job; I seek to learn more about it.
Who knew that this practical beautiful effective martial art that I learned as a teenager on the streets of crown Heights New York would be recognized in the pantheon of respectable martial arts that it is today. I recall when I took Filipino martial arts yearsLater in my 30s how familiar the concepts were everything I learned in the empty hand Filipino System I learn first doing 52 blocks on the streets of Brooklyn.
There is nothing new under the Sun and there is no such thing as a different type of combat except for the systems that have value for a most effective outcome in combat... So therefore the correct style is the one or the ones that work and so again we will find similarities... Such as the Lo'Han Fist, ' Wing-Tsun etc.etc etc...
A lot of this feels like Wing Chun, but adapted to work against opponents who box primarily. Especially the cover the bullet and skull and crossbones shapes. Can’t wait to learn more.
You just got a free lesson. Take it, say thank you and move on. I am an acclaimed martial arts Master. “ I don’t take lessons, I give them. Maybe you should stay in your lane…
I’ve done martial arts for nearly 20 years and this is the first time I’ve heard of 52 blocks. It looks a lot like some of the stuff I’ve seen and done, but it’s unique in a few ways. Definitely gonna look more of this up.
Been aware of this system for some time, everything in this system is almost exact from the Kali I trained in the 80's. The only difference is the names. Taking effective combat from Panentuken of Philippine systems and giving them urban names. Effectiveness is effectiveness no matter where it comes from. What works is just what works. 52 Blocks is effective, and I like it.
Back in the sixties and seventies most prisons were organized gladiator schools. Which means fighting in a lot of tight spots and corners and around a lot of objects that can be used as weapons. That's why 52 blocks look somewhat odd. That's how we learned to fight. Many prison were organized gladiator schools. In the sixties seventies.
As someone who grew up boxing and my dad ( from the uk) taught me elbows up hands behind head blocks everything but an uppercut & to utilize shell. As of TODAY I discovered this 52 blocks and it feels like my life changed lmaoo 😂 🔥
This is basically African-American Kungfu and I absolutely love it. It looks very useful and well designed. I will definetely incorporate 52 Blocks into my martial arts training. You've got a new subscriber. Perfectly explained! Roll the dice forward is basically chain punching as in Wing Chun only difference is it's done with hammer fists. I'll use that technique in the future.
Brother I’m from the UK I wish we could get you over to the UK so some of our lost brothers and sisters can find themselves. Maybe we can arrange something.
Interesting this reminds me so much of Kali. I will say in general I don’t like to jab or cross because if someone uses an elbow destruction you could break your hands. I like to palm strike, hammer fist, or knock, to preserve my hands.
Salute the streets. Salute 52 block and the bartendaz. Tapping in from southern greater Somalia 🥷🏽🛖💚☝🏼. Shout out to 52 block south. It's been a long time. Free Palestine
A 52 Blocks Master trained with a Wing Chun Master they exchamged ideas, techniques etc. I practiced Wing Chun, my Uncle was a boxing instructor. Both styles combined with others makes 52 blocks very strong. 52 Blocks started in American prisons. Professional boxers use 52 blocks techniques.
Filipino salute, Japanese OSU, European boxing 🥊, Indonesian elbows with Filipino moves but hammers instead of blades and you also have Chinese/Japanese/Korean style Kata 😅 Salute 🎉
Not likely. Elbows are much harder than the small vines in the hand. If he punched just about anyone’s elbow as hard as he could his hand would likely break.
I got you. March 3rd I am doing a big seminar in New York for Art of Survival Magazine. Folk from all over are coming but in the meantime join Patreon and text me and or WhatsApp me your TShirt size. 646 373-7804.
First African Baptist Church, located in Savannah, Georgia, claims to be derived from the first black Baptist congregation in North America. While it was not officially organized until 1788, it grew from members who founded a congregation in 1773.
I have been doing the martial arts for many many years. This was a treat! I sincerely hope that a lot of the young Brothers learn this. Very impressive.
Great technique along with the realism of self defense. To come to think of it, I live in Phoenix where crime has spiked within the last 3 years and police sirens run rampant and constant, I take it up to myself to broaden my horizon of learning the art of self defense. Yo keep this up, Mo.
Crazy is to see it in person6.5 lean to the floor backwards , it’s many styles and variations I seen a man get beat down head to toe , catches the hand kissed the knuckle gave it back to em choked him out then slapped him back up.
The roll the dice seems to be a great technique, but there's one flaw. .1| On the first or second hit on the arm wouldn't your opponent hit you really fast, cancelling your combo??? .2| When you roll the dice can't your opponent move their arm down? And then punch you?
In the filipino martial arts“ Cover the bullet“ is referred to as“ defanging the snake“ by guiding it into the elbow you break the fingers the“snakes teeth“
Boys in the hood use to do the bootleg 52 in the 80s in Brooklyn 🤣🤣🤣 all that smacking they elbows & knees & stuff looking silly…. They were pretty much doing to confuse you before throwing a punch
My Brazilian Brother.how are things? Are you learning the Sets? The Federation has decided to add Capoeira into our kids program. I am also a BJJ Black Belt and I am coming to your country to train next yr. Do you train in Brazilian and what style.

@@Addi_Teacha509 Didn't it come from the rough and tumble boxers of Virginia.

What I know about 52 blocks this started within the US prisons systems
@@wendellknight2072 I've heard it was taken there.
