I played trumpet from elementary till my senior year in high school, when I just quit to run around with friends. I was first chair and our soloist. My teacher always said I was dumb for quitting because she could’ve gotten me a scholarship to university… 20 years later, I’m thinking about picking it back up and seeing how much of my chromatic scales I remember. Lol. Thanks for the inspiration.
My grandson is 12, and trumpet has given him his stress release! Don’t waste the gift of music!

I gave it up in 1973 and took it back up in 2005. Don't think about it, do it. Work on the lip muscles the rest comes back like riding a bike 🎼🎵🎶🎵🎺

yess I released a video with Thomann earlier this year on long tones which is the main way I improve my tone of the instrument ! I'll make another video on tone as well :)

its about a hundred years old, found it in my band room in high school and nothing moved and air wouldn't go through so I kept it as decoration for years. During covid I was able to pry it apart and get the valves moving and couldn't believe how beautiful the sound was on it. Says Premier American on it and im playing on this ancient Bach 7C mouthpiece that was on it
