    Hi Julie and joe!! Omg i totally miss all that cheap yummy tasting corn!! I'm here in San Fran now and corn is not the same out here compared to the readily available corn in Chicago!! Man, this dish made me miss home!!

      I totally understand what you're saying. We've lived on both the east coast and the west coast... but it wasn't until we came here that I realized what corn was supposed to taste like! It's another level.

    You and your hubby are adorable new subscriber ID 💗The corn I'd personally would grill it for more flavor 💗💗💗💗👌

      Aw thanks for being a new subbie... welcome to the community! And grilled corn would be amazing...especially if you reserved some grilled kernels on the top for garnish!

    Definitely going to try this recipe. Is it possible to substitute corn on the cob with canned corn? If so, how much would you suggest using?

    • @ChefJulieYoon
      @ChefJulieYoon  Před 9 lety

      Hi Joanne Lo I'm actually not sure the flavor would be the same since the corn cobs extrude a lot of flavor into the broth themselves, giving it a rich, natural, can't put your finger on it taste. You could try using canned if that's all you have, but maybe throw in a can of creamed corn to add more flavor and texture. And sorry, but not sure how many cans of regular corn to use either... enough to equal around what comes off of 4 cobs. Use your best guess.
