Congratulations from Spain to Alvaro Robles as he has showed a great level in this match before the great player that Aruna is. This match could have gone either way. I like both players and I hope Alvaro keeps improving his already high quality tennis table: he is now 43 in the ITTF World Ranking and Aruna is 16 , then this victory is quite an outstanding result for Robles , near of Timo Boll (31) and Felix Lebrun (32).

Aruna is so fun to watch, very unique play style.
Its like a min max build 😅 full power and explosiveness, but in cost for agility

    My opinion about Aruna Quadri
    Strenghts:
    1 Forehand topspin
    2 Several serves
    3 Big push and punch
    Weaknesses
1 Footwork: he doesn't move properly well from left to right. He kinda jumps and loses balance so, the ball will go to the net or goes off the table
2 Backhand opening: when someone pushes long to Aruna's backhand and if he doesn't do a pivot, he opens always to his opponent backhand side.
3 Bad use off his punch: most of the times, when Aruna punches, he is far away from the table and he streches. What happens? The ball goes off the table.
4 "Knowing" when to do a pivot: most of the times he pivots, he has to move 2 or 3 times. What happens most of the times is that he only moves 1 time or 2 if he needs to move 2 or 3. What does he? He puts his back backwards and misses the table. What I advise him to do is to do a pivot. If he sees that the ball is not well positioned, he should use a block when the opponent is attacking his left side. Regarding also the pivot, but this time when he is opening up and sees that the ball is not well positioned, he should cut it, like he did some times against Ovidiu Ionescu!
5 Bad use off serves: he should serve more times downspin. Álvaro Robles struggled a lot when Aruna served backspin. Regarding the shovel serve, he serves most of the times with only sidespin. What happens many times is that the opponents are already expecting it and attack. He should vary the spin, sometimes serving with sidespin and others with downspin! Regarding the backhand serve, I do not know why he barely uses it. From what I have seen, most of the times Aruna serves backhand, he wins the point. It is a pity that he doesn't use this serve more!

Man, seeing unconventional players like Alexis Lebrun and Quadri Aruna makes me enjoy TT more!

Started on Aruna’s side but the Robles was the smarter player. Defo won me over by the third set.

Also very very unprofessional! Her reaction when Robles won the match was shameful. Her hysterical screams during the match... really a disgrace and very disrespectful towards the huge effort and talent of the winner, coming back from the first 2 games being lost, and after losing the 6th game by a sounding 11-3! Adam is very kind with her, but she really spoiled the enjoyment
