I saw you and your Cardinal at KMEI the other day. Great looking RG! I was in the Comanche.

I get around a fair amount, but don't recall Meridian in my schedule. Thanks for the shout out either way!

Clever to use the lawn mower battery as a buffer for the external supply. Have you ever wondered why the lawn mower's designer didn't put a non-conductive material around the battery compartment opening? Sweet Cardinal and hangar, by the way!

In fact I have! Guess they didn't expect us to be jumping airplanes off the lawn tractor... although it does a pretty good job of that!

Hi Keith great videos. How hard is it to land a 177rg compared to a 172?

    • @cardinalflyer

Thanks! It is actually easier to land a Cardinal well than a 172. That is, unless you have already gotten used to the 172. Folks who learn in the Cardinal don't seem to have as much challenge moving to other types. I've flown 172s as well and my view is that the 172 just needs a little extra technique in the flair at times.
You don't have to take my word for it, you can read a review done by an Air Force / Airline Skyhawk pilot about his first Cardinal flight here: www.cardinalflyers.com/prep/info/flyimp.php

Yeah my instructor really likes them. There is a decent one on controller with low time and good avionics. I really like Avidyne over garmin.

Probably a good idea not to turn on battery charger until all connections are complete. Prevent electrical spikes and sparks around the battery that has hydrogen inside.

I agree, as was done here. Guess you're just calling out that detail with some extra back story?
