the truck driver with a monkey was a reference to a TV show called BJ and the Bear. It was a 70's TV show on around when Chips and Charlie's Angels was on.

Also Clint Eastwood in "Any Which way but Loose" I think there may have been another one as well.
Also the movie "Convoy" (1978) starring Kris Kristofferson. It was about a truck driver who then gets political about the treatment of fellow truckers. There were some scantily-clad women in the movie, hitchhiking, wearing tight tanktops and daisy duke short shorts. I think he or fellow truckers boned a few of them in their cabs as "payment" for giving them a ride. Throw in the obligatory truck roadstop diner scenes and bar brawls for good effect.
It was not a reference of that at all, It was a reference to the Eastwood movie Any which way but loose, which was mentioned by Daymen. As for the women, then Cannon Ball Run

Being a trucker with a monkey for a friend is a reference to the 1978 Clint Eastwood film, "Every Which Way but Loose" where he played a trucker with a pet orangutan. Never seen it, but I'm old enough to remember the commercials and that a lot of my friends thought it was great.

As a Gen-Xer it's great that we have people like Burr and Chapelle. We grew up with Richard Pryor, Robin Williams, Red Foxx and so many more. We were raised to understand sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. That's all a good comedy show is. Words and they are funny.

I see other quotes on this thread and it appears she was racist against Jewish people. Truth is, many people were racist, just as many people are racist now. The only good thing is that there were also many people during the war that pretended to be racist out of fear of the Hitler and the nazi soldiers. They did that to stay alive and keep their families alive. Then after the war went back to rebuilding and moving on. During the whole time they never truly were nazi's, they just played the nazi's.
Half And Jai, Thanks for the laughs and great videos. Years ago when I started performing Stand Up Comedy I got to see Bill live and my lungs were sore for 4 days afterwards from laughing. I learned a lot from watching his show and his style and material is very unique in presentation to Bill. I've always been a huge George Carlin fan and Bill is very much like Carlin, but doesn't mimic Carlin, which I truly appreciate.
