ROOP VERMA Raag "JOG" VILAMBIT 1984, Shrewsbury, MA USA

This "Vilambit" clip of Raag "JOG" by Roop Verma is exceptionally wonderful and delightful to listen.
In fact as he dwells deeper into the raag the composition is pure spirituality, each note as he plays it pulls at your heart with love and joy. Not many sitarists can do that. I know Roopji since 1982 and have always admired his playing. .Roop got his training from Ustad Ali Akbar Khan and Pandit Ravi Shankar. Subhash Sircar has given a tremendous tabla assistance, He is a disciple of Pandit Ghyan Prakash Ghosh.
