I've been playing since I was 13 years old in May 2014.
I remember trading from an inventory worth mere cents to $25 and thinking I was absolutely rich. Ended up going on csgolounge, betting it all on NetcodeGuides, and losing it all thanks to Shroud's five-seven clutch for Manajumas.
There are so many memories with this game. It's fucking heartbreaking to see Valve treat csgo how they are. They see no value beyond making money.

It's just not what it used to be... the map pool is ruined, all the pros we fell in love with have retired or moved on, and 90% of the friends and teammates I had don't play anymore. Competitive CS is really collapsing so fast.

The people you're familiar with moving on does not equate to the competitive scene collapsing. I felt the same way as you for a while until I found a group to play with a year or two ago and we've been having a blast. Hard to say what the future holds but the player base is remaining consistently high and professional scene is the healthiest it's ever been imo

Csgo will always have its fans, we are just getting older and newer generations are getting into CSGO. Its sad to see the pro and streamers we grew up with leave, but we can't be mad.
