I've read a lot of sales books over the span of my sales career. Many modern sales gurus will tell you that Zig's methods are old and outdated. There may be some truth to that, but his books and audiobooks contain a lot of valuable information that in my opinion are still as relevant as ever. This guy really paved the way for many of the modern self help/sales authors. There is still much of his material I apply to this day. "Motivation doesn't last; neither does bathing, that's why we recommend it, daily."

Just one note from my personal experience. The people who spend the majority of their time trying to improve their life tend to do better than those who spend the majority of their time complaining about other people.
Or using others
Those that waste their time focusing on other people's problems are always life's failures.
Those that succeed in life wish they had the time to focus on others... They're too busy doing the work required for success, life satisfaction, and fullfilment.

In the summer of 1978 Roger Milliken of Milliken & Company headquartered in La Grange, Georgia invited Zig Ziglar to speak to his new Trainees. I was one of those 10 Trainees. At the time I was only 22 and never heard of Mr. Ziglar. He came in, dressed to the tee. He was entertaining, clear, and on top of his game. It was a memorable day. He gave us each an autographed copy of his book, "See you at the top". This book was rejected 39 times before it was published. Mr. Ziglar is the poster child for never giving up.

The wisdom contained in the book of Sirach will help you deal with difficulties in life advise on money and relationships and how to deal with rich powerful people like a celebrity is all in there. Never see yourself as an equal when you are with a rich powerful person. You know that false belief when you save a rich person's life you get rewards from them that is 100% false they will use you and will add insult to injury if you ever cross with a rich powerful person king Sirach is on point with his wisdom. I saw Mr. Zig's book in a Christian bookstore in our city, when I was late 30's, and bought it. Until now, I repeat reading it, to remember his teachings. Although, reading some pages I like and want to read. The title of the book is See You at The Top.
Hopefully, I can read it again cover to cover.
I'm glad when he was alive, he shares his insights to help us improve our lives.
Although he is in heaven already, and can not appreciate my thank you or appreciation he did, I will say, Thank You Mr. Zig!

Once I hit 18 I developed some awful financial habits because I never had a foundation, and I was surrounded by my parents always being in debt. I thought it was normal. A decade later and I feel like I'm in the same position as my parent's, but I won't let that happen. I need to swallow my pride and pick up anything that will bring me some extra money monthly so I can be debt-free and feel like I have a life.
Don't confuse success with money. Wealth is a state of being.
I wish more people understood this. I have family who 100% base success on money. I am heathier, generally happier, and have more talents and skills, but because of my smaller home and older car, I am considered a "loser".

I was 16 when I started on my path that resonates with what you are so enthusiastically teaching….and now at age 70, I walk the path of Kyudo….the unconquerable mountain…..and still …all you teach is even more relevant….I have no talent…..but I practice and think about my journey everyday….and my teacher shows me the way….I am very conscious of my slow progress….but …each day…start again
God the creator has promised the Holy Spirit of the trinity God to guide u in matters we believe to be important. Its those He guides that we most often take for granted it doesn't matter which way we choose. Those paths are often most important. May all your paths be blessed by God.

Many years ago, the company I worked for sent a small group of employees, including me to one of Zig Ziglar's seminars. I can't remember if it was one day or two. I wish that I had paid more attention to him at the time and really took the time to learn more and put it into action.

stay away from any people who undermine you up front or behind your back. Whomever it is, is a good start, and not make excuses for them. Confront issues head on, because just as you believe will happen years before, as happened to me does. Do not make excuses for other people, neglect or criminal deeds. Never. This is the energy that restrained me and any motivation & success that I could & would have achieved. The inner spirit is alive and well, listen.
Dealing with this everyday in the workplace. The lead in the toolroom seems to control much of what goes on. As I use to when I was in the same position somewhere else. When i supervised situations, however, I never had to claim i was an Alpha male that said negative things about others when they weren't there. You see, how can you be that Alpha male, when one is to shallow to portray their ignorance while one is present.

My parents lived through and barely survived the Great Depression and World War II and blamed both events on the wealthiest and brightest. As a result, when as a child I brought home Report Cards with many “A’s”, mother responded, “Genius is next to insanity. Hitler was a genius; better a “B” than an “A”.”
Secondly, as a Roman Catholic, mother and the Saint Joseph Nuns who taught me valued piety, solemnity and poverty as lifestyles.
As a result, at 70 years old, I have lived a life of an Urban Monk and was unable to provide sustenance for loved ones.
The life of an Urban Monk was for me a selfish lifestyle disguised as holy.
And catholic priesthood lives frugally 😀
