- Melinda Abodeely's Senior Recital November 14th, 2009 - Melinda Abodeely, Soprano - Beautiful Dreamer is one of the last songs Stephen Foster composed and is certainly the most famous of the songs he composed late in his lifetime. The music is light and airy much like a lullaby. The meter is a waltz-like 9/8 which gives the piece its bouncing and cheerful feel.

Beautiful voice! Gives me more emotion than other well-known sopranos' performances heard on CZcams 🙂
Excellent! As a lover of music I tend to be critical of how people render the old songs that are not so popular as they once were...but this! This is a most beautiful performance!!!!
Wonderful ! I think this song is the best one !
One of my all time favorite from the past, sang by a young lady blessed with a trained voice of an angel. Thanks for posting.

beautiful rendition!
Very beautiful! from Korean Bass baritone.
Excellent!
Great performance, and very nice voice ;-)
I'm actually performing it myself tomorrow for my voice class(for beginners, im not an accomplished singer by any means), and your video has been helpful for practicing, so thanks :)
I thought you did a very nice job on my favorite Stephen Foster song, along with "I dDeam of Jeanie With The Light Brown Hair" Everyone check out Robert White's Foster album. He is a great tenor. I found it at the local library.
I'm sorry- I somehow duplicated. The other thing is- while the opera songs are very nice, I REALLY LOVED "Beautiful Dreamer", and I would LOVE to see you do "My Secret Love". That would be so nice. Your Friend, Patrick Cowdrey- Medford, Oregon

She needs to stand stiller while singing - her constant moving around distracts from the performance.
