“We do not have time for a white cast in 2022”…..❤️Could not agree MORE! ‼️Anyone reviewing a sunscreen and they mention anything related to white cast or glowy…I simply stop listening, delete…no time for greasy/white cast and wasting my money to find that out! I thought the same about the No9. Love Phlur HepCat…have worn it for years…so different and always get compliments ❣️❤️
This is why I don't trust people with dry skin when they do sunscreen recommendations for oily skin. They always get it wrong. Susan Yara for example...every sunscreen she recommends for oily skin is horrible. She recommended that Hero sunscreen as well. You however are the second person with skin that leans oily to say that that Hero sunscreen is not good for us. We need more people like you doing sunscreen reviews. You tend to get it right.
It’s funny because I feel like everyone I follow has oily skin and nothing works for me ( I have dry skin), but whatever Susan Yara recommends usually works for me

Tried the Olaplex serum. I think it is meant to be used as a heat protector and it worked amazing for me. Within a few weeks of use all those broken frizzy pieces I get at along my part after I blow dry are gone. Not a stand alone but effective for heat styling.

When showing sunscreens I think it might be helpful to reshow 10-15 mins after the sunscreen has set. After initial rubing in it’s hard to get a feel for finish and feel of the product as well as final cast or lack there of.

Loreal seriously knocks it out of the park tenfold with their fragrances in their hair care products. I’m so obsessed i use their shampoo as body wash and their conditioner as shaving cream because they’re that good. Literally obsessed and praying that some day soon they hop on the wave of creating perfumes based on their signature scents. Until then, i will continue to search for a perfume that comes close to the intoxicatingly deliciously clean scent that they have perfected

Recently my friend went to México and i asked her to bring me back tretinoin. Tretinoin is an over the counter medication in Mexico which is mind blowing seeing how cheap it is out there vs how much they charge in the states. She brought me back 3 tubes, 2 0.05% tubes and 1 0.1% tube all 3 full size tubes for $30, each tube $10!!! I have bad hormonal acne. I tried curology for 16 months saw some improvement but since i had already been on a low form of tretinoin (0.018%) i skipped the 0.025% and did the sandwich method using 0.5% tretinoin. It’s exactly one month today since i started it. Iv already purged once and my skin is clearing! Its looking amazing!!!!!!!!

For a couple years, I had been using the Dark clear foam of the Tanologist brand because I didn’t want to fool with a tanner with a color guide. I recently tried the Extra Dark and I absolutely LOVE it. The tan lasts 6-8 days on me and it’s twice as dark as Loving Tan which is 1-1/2 times the price. I did a “showdown” patch test on my stomach between Loving Tan Ultra Dark, Bondi Sands Ultra Dark, and the Tanologist Extra Dark. The Bondi Sands was darker than the Loving Tan and the Tanologist was more than twice as dark as Bondi Sands. The Tanologist also lasted longer than the other two. I will never go back to anything else. And you can’t beat the price especially when Ulta has it on sale for buy one and get one 40-50% off.
I love the Tatcha sunscreen. It’s my favorite and it blends in very clear into my skin and I use the full recommended amount. Sometimes I apply it over my makeup for reapplication. Plus I have deeper skin. And Olaplex no 9 is my new favorite detangler. I’m kind of obsessed with these 2 products. Curly haired person by the way
I personally loved the Hero sunscreen and found that it is the only mineral sunscreen (that’s also more affordable that most) that leaves minimal to no white cast on my tan skin and blends in really easily. If there is a white cast on me then it usually disappears after the product has absorbed into my skin. It also doesn’t leave my combination to dry skin shiny or greasy like most sunscreens do. This is my go-to sunscreen for daily use especially because it’s acne-friendly! And it doesn’t cake up on my skin upon reapplication throughout the day. (I use the two finger application method for my face plus an extra couple of pumps for my neck and ears) This could be good for some people and may not be for others. It’s all about personal preference and everyone’s skin is different. Thanks for reviewing it because I was curious to see what you thought!
Follow up to my previous comment about OLAPLEX No°9.....based on an idea from something Abbey said in this video, I mixed a very small about of OLAPLEX No°6 with a small amount of No°9 and loved the results. It got me what I was hoping for with No°9 alone, so I'll take it!! I feel like I am getting lots of benefits this way AND the results I wanted. I have fine thin hair and this blend didn't weigh it down. As always, thanks Abbey!!! 😘❤
I happened to love the elf moisturizer and I swear the full size is much thicker and actually absorbs. I usually layer it on top of rose hip oil at night and under SPF in the morning and it feels so nice

I swear by the julep no excuses sunscreen, it's a clear gel and I've been using it for years now, it doesn't claim to be water or swearpriof but I've used it while sweating or swimming and had no issues! Would be nice for any skintone, is very glowy though, but works wonderfully under makeup

pH of detergents and hair products can vary due to the addition of water. The product itself can have a particular and known pH, but once you add an unknown quantity of product to hair mixed with an unknown quantity of water, the best you can do is provide a pH range

Great video! Your mini size of the elf moisturizer formula looked strange. I have bought two of the full size and the consistency was very different. The color was bright white and it was very thick. I only need one pump and you blend it right into the toner, don't let the toner dry first. Then it dries down Matte and not streaky and it soaks in beautifully and perfect for under makeup for super oily skin. I've been searching for years for a daytime moisturizer that actually mattifies and this is it. My sensitive skin absolutely loves it. On the other hand other elf moisturizers broke me out. I don't use the pure skin one at night though you're right it's not super moisturizing
I’m surprised the Tatcha sunscreen didn’t work out for you. I also have oily skin too and it leaves a soft matte/velvety finish on my skin. A lot of mixed reactions about the finish from people.
I hate oily sunscreens and most of them are like that. The matte ones like Japanese sunscreen are lovely if it weren’t for the alcohol in them, which is probably why they dry down well and aren’t sticky

It’s not just your skin the moisturizer doesn’t absorb into the skin well. I have the same exact problem and unfortunately had to toss it ☹️ I really regret buying the full size. Elf does have a new blemish skin line out right now would be interested in hearing your thoughts!

I have to say the Tacha Silk sunscreen is my absolute favorite. It’s replaced all my sunscreens I wear it every day. Great under makeup. On weekends I just use a little powder and go. I’m over 50 and have combo skin but at my age I like the dewy finish.

I love the Elf skincare kit that’s in the bright colored pkg. I just picked up the L’Oréal gloss acid. I’m excited because I use the original moisture sulfate shampoo/conditioner in the lilac bottles. As for perfumes, this time of the year most people are leaning towards spice/woods. I recently went to BBW and got the coffee and whiskey perfume and wash. That has blown up as well. When I went to Sephora to see what perfumes they had available. I fell in love with Kayali “Invite Only Amber”
I bought the Hero sunscreen and although I didn’t hate it, I didn’t love it. I also noticed a slight white cast which I didn’t like at all. I actually just starting using Apostrophe and bought the sunscreen too, and I’m actually literally liking this one.

I have the same experience too. I combined it with some of the smoother cream and olaplex oil and I got thought I was going to be WOW but I feel like it made my hair dryer in comparison to use the smoothing cream and oil by itself. It was a huge let down
The L'Oreal hair products are something I will be trying. I also love the old Tanologist packaging. I recently bought the new purple bottle of drops and use it only on my face. I only use about 5 to 6 drops and really got a very nice color from it. I am not a huge fan of extra dark self tanners. Maybe if I was younger and my skin was still nice and tight but I am 57 so I just like a nice medium to dark tan. I have been using the Loving Tan which really gives me a beautiful color. My only gripe is the size of the bottle and the price. Believe it or not but I recently bought the b. Tan and for $11.99 I got got just about the same color as the Loving Tan. So, for anyone on a budget you really can't beat the price. I am looking forward to your self tanning show down or side by side comparison. Thank you for another great review video.

@@xtinascarc7962 my hair isn’t bleached, but it’s dry and damaged from heat. I notice my hair doesn’t like a lot of things from Redken. Their All Soft shampoo and conditioner dried the living hell out of my hair, but the Heavy Cream was okay 😭😭😭

I am obsessed with the Hero's sunscreen. It's kinda impossible to find a total zinc sunscreen w/out a tiny cast (*if anyone has suggestions otherwise, would love to know) unless it's tinted which I don't like cuz it stains my clothing. I developed rosacea in my mid-30s so stuck with minerals for the face. This is as good as it gets, in my opinion. I found that using Colorscience 50spf powder brush over it and then a little SPF bronzer helps even it out & is a super nice finish with more protection. I have dry skin though so doesn't look oily on me at all.

That’s so funny you got “ thrown off” because the Tatcha silk sunscreen’s consistency really did feel silky to me. It’s so easy to put on, blend, the pink tint enhances your skin but doesn’t wear like a foundation. It’s the best your skin but better product I’ve ever found !

Thank you for this video! I think this format is great. I agree with you about Olaplex 9. However, though I don’t wash all my hair every day, I do wash and style my bangs every day because they get ridiculously greasy otherwise. It’s a perfect heat protectant and leave-in in this case. Super conditioning products defeat the purpose. And it makes them look fuller and more put together, somehow. So yeah, pretty underwhelming overall but great for greasy bangs 😂

I love the force shield, but it gets stuck in my eyebrows. I’m white enough that I don’t get a cast, and I’m so red that the green tint really helps. I agree! So many matte sunscreens look shiny at first but then dry down. As a girl with bangs, I need matte sunscreens 😭

I happened to love the elf moisturizer and I swear the full size is much thicker and actually absorbs. I usually layer it on top of rose hip oil at night and under SPF in the morning and it feels so nice

I returned the Olapkex No 9. It didn’t detangle my hair whatsoever. Like you said, I felt no conditioning effects from it.

I swear by the julep no excuses sunscreen, it's a clear gel and I've been using it for years now, it doesn't claim to be water or swearpriof but I've used it while sweating or swimming and had no issues! Would be nice for any skintone, is very glowy though, but works wonderfully under makeup

Great video! Your mini size of the elf moisturizer formula looked strange. I have bought two of the full size and the consistency was very different. The color was bright white and it was very thick. I only need one pump and you blend it right into the toner, don't let the toner dry first. Then it dries down Matte and not streaky and it soaks in beautifully and perfect for under makeup for super oily skin. I've been searching for years for a daytime moisturizer that actually mattifies and this is it. My sensitive skin absolutely loves it. On the other hand other elf moisturizers broke me out. I don't use the pure skin one at night though you're right it's not super moisturizing
I’m surprised the Tatcha sunscreen didn’t work out for you. I also have oily skin too and it leaves a soft matte/velvety finish on my skin. A lot of mixed reactions about the finish from people.

Love the tatcha sunscreen. Worth the hype. I’m allergic to most other sunscreens and this is fab. Plays well with makeup. Very happy with it
Glad you didn't like the Tatcha. $60 for a tiny tube turns me off right away. I think it is such a rip off for regular consumers.
I hate oily sunscreens and most of them are like that. The matte ones like Japanese sunscreen are lovely if it weren’t for the alcohol in them, which is probably why they dry down well and aren’t sticky

It’s not just your skin the moisturizer doesn’t absorb into the skin well. I have the same exact problem and unfortunately had to toss it ☹️ I really regret buying the full size. Elf does have a new blemish skin line out right now would be interested in hearing your thoughts!

I have to say the Tacha Silk sunscreen is my absolute favorite. It’s replaced all my sunscreens I wear it every day. Great under makeup. On weekends I just use a little powder and go. I’m over 50 and have combo skin but at my age I like the dewy finish.

I love the Elf skincare kit that’s in the bright colored pkg. I just picked up the L’Oréal gloss acid. I’m excited because I use the original moisture sulfate shampoo/conditioner in the lilac bottles. As for perfumes, this time of the year most people are leaning towards spice/woods. I recently went to BBW and got the coffee and whiskey perfume and wash. That has blown up as well. When I went to Sephora to see what perfumes they had available. I fell in love with Kayali “Invite Only Amber”

I bought the Hero sunscreen and although I didn’t hate it, I didn’t love it. I also noticed a slight white cast which I didn’t like at all. I actually just starting using Apostrophe and bought the sunscreen too, and I’m actually literally liking this one.

I feel the same about Olaplex #9, didn't do ANYTHING for my hair.
I have the same experience too. I combined it with some of the smoother cream and olaplex oil and I got thought I was going to be WOW but I feel like it made my hair dryer in comparison to use the smoothing cream and oil by itself. It was a huge let down

The L'Oreal hair products are something I will be trying. I also love the old Tanologist packaging. I recently bought the new purple bottle of drops and use it only on my face. I only use about 5 to 6 drops and really got a very nice color from it. I am not a huge fan of extra dark self tanners. Maybe if I was younger and my skin was still nice and tight but I am 57 so I just like a nice medium to dark tan. I have been using the Loving Tan which really gives me a beautiful color. My only gripe is the size of the bottle and the price. Believe it or not but I recently bought the b. Tan and for $11.99 I got got just about the same color as the Loving Tan. So, for anyone on a budget you really can't beat the price. I am looking forward to your self tanning show down or side by side comparison. Thank you for another great review video.

I’m definitely not in a rush to get Olaplex no 9. I think the 6&7 duo work perfectly fine for me. I’ve been very curious about Redken’s acidic bond collection though. I’d like to see a review with Kevin Murphy products if you tried any yet.
I have bleached hair and my hair hates redkens acidic bond collection. It dried my hair out and it took awhile to recover it😭
@@xtinascarc7962 my hair isn’t bleached, but it’s dry and damaged from heat. I notice my hair doesn’t like a lot of things from Redken. Their All Soft shampoo and conditioner dried the living hell out of my hair, but the Heavy Cream was okay 😭😭😭

I agree 100% about OLAPLEX No°9 and I am SOOOOO bummed to say that. I so wanted it to be a game changer with all the claims it makes. 😭 But it just seems like it did nothing for my hair. So I am hoping that at least I am getting some great heat protection out of it? 🤷♀️

I am obsessed with the Hero's sunscreen. It's kinda impossible to find a total zinc sunscreen w/out a tiny cast (*if anyone has suggestions otherwise, would love to know) unless it's tinted which I don't like cuz it stains my clothing. I developed rosacea in my mid-30s so stuck with minerals for the face. This is as good as it gets, in my opinion. I found that using Colorscience 50spf powder brush over it and then a little SPF bronzer helps even it out & is a super nice finish with more protection. I have dry skin though so doesn't look oily on me at all.

That’s so funny you got “ thrown off” because the Tatcha silk sunscreen’s consistency really did feel silky to me. It’s so easy to put on, blend, the pink tint enhances your skin but doesn’t wear like a foundation. It’s the best your skin but better product I’ve ever found !

I agree with you about Olaplex 9. However, though I don’t wash all my hair every day, I do wash and style my bangs every day because they get ridiculously greasy otherwise. It’s a perfect heat protectant and leave-in in this case. Super conditioning products defeat the purpose. And it makes them look fuller and more put together, somehow. So yeah, pretty underwhelming overall but great for greasy bangs 😂

Try the HOURGLASS UNLOCKED mascara at Sephora. Best one I have found used with L'oreal mascara mascara primer in white wand. I will try the MAC.
