Another tip for Mascara streaking would be to add on a layer of waterproof mascara as the very last step. It will wash off easily, since you have the normal mascara underneath, but it will help your normal mascara to stay put even if you have teary eyes or allergies like me :)
Love this tip!
Excellent idea!
Hi I'm Loretta De Los Rios using Frank's account to make this comment with his permission. đ€Čđđ¶âđ»đ”
I dont see that happening meaning "it will wash out easy!" I'm sure you have to use a waterproof eye remover. Unless you use a cleanser! But even if you do! you still have to wipe it down with a eye makeup remover. I personally do not use a cleanser to wash out mascara from my eyes. I never did that as a younger women and upto my mature age & my eye area is in good condition! I recently did try to wash out my mascara with a cleanser made for makeup removing but I did not like how my eye area felt! It irritated it. It's better to take your time to remove your eye makeup. I like one that has cucumber extract.
@@frankvelez4997 Hi Loretta! Well, of course, that depends. If you wash your mascara off with just water then it is technically "not easy to wash off". However, if you wash your face with a normal face wash or even micellar water (I personally use a mild gel cleanser to wash my face) then you do not have to go in with an oil makeup remover or anything else. Warm water and gel cleanser does the trick for me :) Sorry that you had a bad experience, I would say it's just a matter of finding the right one for your face which can take a while.
I use a clear brow gel or mascara over the top of my mascara to keep it from smudging. Works great for me.
Using translucent setting powder can be used instead of eyeshadow for the mascara hack. Works great! đđ»
The witch hazel toner also is great too refresh under the breasts in the summer months or not in the summer months or if youâre just sweating or if youâve just showered and you get somewhere and youâre sweating. I keep it in my car⊠itâs a game changer!
My best hack is using a clear eyebrow gel, the best one is benefit's brow setter, to put the final coat onto lashes after mascara to prevent it from smudging or flaking. It also works to set the curl and separate the clumps!
You pronounced my name perfectly! Thanks for sharing my tutorial within your description bar Abbey! I discovered your channel earlier this year and have enjoyed all your tips and tricks! âșïžđđŒ
Abbey, would you please do a video on body sunscreens that donât ruin your clothes? (And your body sunscreen routine for wearing cute dresses and tanks and such!!) It can feel impossible to wear my cute summer clothes without getting them covered in sunscreen stains that need to be dry cleaned
Have you tried to spray sunscreen?
Evy sunscreen from Sweden is a good splurge.($30 for 6oz foam canister+ extra for shipping) It has to be imported from the U.K or another EU country. Otherwise, for a (U.S) lotion sunscreen Banana Boat SPF 50+ Light as Air. (~$13, 6oz, or less if you have a BOGO free/half off coupon available) It has fragrance though it's less noticeable if you have a genuine allergy or sensitivity it might not work. It's the best cheap drugstore sunscreen that isn't tacky or staining, in my experience, your mileage may vary. I recently tried the Avene Sport Fluid spf 50+ ($19+ shipping, 7 oz) , also a winner but pricey. It's my "I need to go hiking and get to a restaurant during a day trip/vacation and don't want to pack anything else.) Mineral sunscreens have always stained clothes and certain vitamin/antioxidant additives tend to change colors dyes in fabric when they oxidize. Try a very boring one without so many additives, listed below. A sport sunscreen, while WAY less comfortable to wear, generally doesn't rub off on clothes.
Coppertone SPF 70 kids water play sunscreen ~$8 average retailer
Fragrance
~$8
Hawaii Tropics SPF 50 Make it Matte (available on Amazon, haven't seen it in stores) Has Aluminum Starch and Cornstarch to wick up sweat
region
Beach Republic Clear UV Gel spf 100 (no fragrance in facial version, 3oz) regular version fragranced ~$14 body 5oz, $14 face 3 oz
SPF 50 Body sunscreen Eucerin - ~$14.50
Has antioxidants for skincare but doesn't transfer, feels thicker than the facial sunscreen because it has anti-rub and water resistance. It's more moisturizing than most of the sunscreens on this list but doesn't seem to cause any color changes on either swimwear or regular clothes.
La Roche-Posay spf 60 kids lotion, cheaper than the spf 50 for adults. Still tacky, and has worse skin feel than the Eucerin spf 50 sunscreen. Doesn't pill on reapplication but doesn't feel worth the price. (`$23-$29, total for 1 bottle, 5 oz. Eucerin is $15-20)
Sum Bum SPF 70, very emollient, skip if you're oily or in a humid state. Has some anti-oxidants for UV stabilization (Vitamin E) but has not potential for oxidization.
Alba Botanical spf 60 spray lotion Fragrance free and available at Costco or Sam's Club ~$19 for a 6oz, 2 pack last time I bought one. $24 on Amazon
Banana Boat spf 100+ spray or the lotion - least enjoyable to apply, but best sun protection out of ALL the other sunscreens listed, relative to it's price. $8 on Amazon for 4oz lotion and $6-12 for the spray version.
For some reason the spf 100 doesn't have fragrance but the other one, the spf 50 lotion, does.
Finally, if your budget is tight, Nature's Apothecary spf 30 powder available on Amazon. ~$14 and you have to buy the cheapest sunscreen available. (UP and Up $4-5, 10 oz, or Walmart, No Fragrance in either)
-Can be used to pat down the sticky feeling/transfer risk as it mattifies whatever sunscreen you are using.
Key note: It is an untinted zinc powder. If you have to apply more than once, I would dust it on after rubbing in either your lotion or spray sunscreen. Without titanium dioxide, the zinc doesn't leave as much cast and won't give flash back when you are taking pictures, but it is going to leave SOME trace on the skin.
Banana Boat Light as Air
I use Hawaiian Tropic Antioxidant Plus every day all over my chest, arms and legs and my clothes look fine. It is a chemical sunscreen so its clear. Walgreens brand Hydrating sunscreen is also excellent and does not stain. These are not goos for the face since my eyes burn horribly but they are great for the body.
I have tried to identify which exact sunscreen ingredients cause the orange staining, so that I can look at labels and knowâŠif anyone finds out, please share!!đ€Čđ»
Damn the 90s really are coming back! That Bed Head sticks been around for 30 years
Yeah, love the witchazel hack. I keep a pack of the Thayers witchazel wipes in my bag to freshen up. Works great. I also use them on my feet if I'm wearing sandals that cause my feet to sweat. If your hair is oily and you don't have dry shampoo or it's just around the hairline use a tiny bit of setting powder right at the roots with a makeup brush and it instantly freshens and volumnizes hair.
I use witch hazel in a spray bottle on my bikini line to prevent post shaving irritation.
âïžđâïž Thank you for watching and commenting congratulations you have been selected in my draw đđâšwinners Dm on telegram to claim your prize.
For taming flyaways, it actually can definitely can get even more "hacky" and easier than that: just use a clear eyebrow gel (or even a tinted one if it matches your hair color), and brush onto the flyaway hairs. Muti-tasking. Fewer products to buy, less expensive.
I wonder what is better cost-wise: Eyebrow gel on your hair, or hair wax sticks on your eyebrows. Seems to be more product in the stick
@@okashi10 I bet eyebrow gel is far less costly in the long-run. Elf Wow Brow is only $5 and is a great product.
I use hair gel to keep brows in place. To be more specific got2be glued gel. I love it works better then any brow gel Iâve ever used brows stay in place all day.
This is a hack - a product meant for something else being used in different ways than it was intended. Not just âthis exists-use as directedâ.
Besides being an astringent, witch hazel is mildly antibacterial -- so it probably helps to kill some of the odor-causing bacteria. That's why salycilic acid and other BHA/AHA products can help with underarm smell, too! Whenever I put on an SA serum I always put a little on my pits too.
Yes, or any acne cleanser with benzoyl peroxide. I learned this from Dr. Dray. I wash my underarms in the shower with it and go at least 24 hours with no armpit odor.
@@nyamoonshadow3259 I learned that from her too!
Would just straight AHA or AHA/PHA toners work? I don't hsve a BHA currently, I'm actually waiting on my COSRX to come in from Amazon on the 27th and it is only the 10th. Ugh. I do have the Thayers She has but I assumed the BHA would work better. Yes, learned it from DR Dray recently (glycolic acid?) But haven't gotten to try it yet. Or would steidex pads with SA work better? Coukd probably steal my husband's stridex. Lol. I got the Thayer for my 3 yr old to tske off her sunscreen "like mommy" when I'm doing my skincare, I mix it with water just to make sure it doesn't hurt her skin and it seems to get the sunscreen off for her.
@@funsizedi88 Yes, AHA will work too! PHA might be too gentle, but you could try it. I think AHA or BHA will work better than Witch Hazel since they are generally stronger.
@@okashi10 thanks for replying! I will start trying my aha then!
Great video. Excited for part 2. Thank you for your time, channel, effort and content. Much appreciated. đ
So helpful!! I've been struggling with flyaways lately, so I'm definitely going to try that bed head hair stick! Please do a part 2! :)
Stick sunscreen is great along my grey hairline. it prevents my tinted products from discoloring my hair. Also good in the part of your hair and back of the neck if your hair is up.
Definitely more beauty hacks...love them !!! Great video đ
Iâve done that bun hack for so long! I love it for my heavy, long hair!
Great hack for quick armpits refreshment when youâre outside and most likely donât have a giant bottle of toner with you đ€Ł is to use hand sanitizer. It kills the bacteria which is what causes your armpits to smell in the first place. Sweat itself doesnât have a smell. đ
Also the robe hair trick would be the explained the easiest is to just say youâre braiding the hair the French style
Mitchum works for me beautifully...
Great tip, thanks for sharing!
Love this video! But Iâm also looking forward to your next vlog. I really enjoy âhangingâ with you while I do my housework. Thank you!
You have sunless tanner skills down to an art! Nice natural color.
Underarms: in the shower use pan oxyl to wash! Also works!
I prefer this to witch hazel or even hypochlorous spray
Yes! I learned this from Dr. Dray. I use the Amazon version of Panoxyl. I like it way better. I use whatever is left on my fingers from when I use it on my face in the shower, and rub in under my arms and rinse before I turn the water off. Works SOOO well!
@@susie7336 what is the Amazon version called please?
Yes want to see a part 2, 3, 4, etc. Would love to have seen the results of your robe tie method:)
Also Abbey...can you follow the robe tie method all the way through? How do you tie it off when you are finished twisting the hair in the rope tie?
Itâs on Instagram and Tik Tok! â€ïž
@@AbbeyYung Thank you Abbey, I'll check it out:)
@@AbbeyYung I donât IG or tiktok.
Thank you Abbey. The bun. Yay. You touched on the bonzer thing. Yay! I was looking into this. How about a bronzer video?!? And the last hack, would love to see the results! Great video đđŒ thank you
Thank you!!! I would love to see a part 2!
Love everything. Your enthusiasm always shows through in your videos, and, yes for part ll!
Oh man, Abbey coming with hacks everybody! Using a foundation or concealer for a bronzer is so smart. You're also not going to run into the problem of your bronzer picking up your coverage product underneath because you'll be adding coverage! I'm going to try that bun trick too! I actually have a pressed mineral powder from Physicians Formula that is SPF 3o. I replaced the little brush with a powder puff. It's great for touching up oily areas while reapplying some SPF coverage and so easy to toss in my bag. Adding that Vaseline jelly stick to my shopping list right now...
Thanks! My best hack is the #touchbeauty face roller. I would say it is my favorite 'face gym' in 2022. The microcurrent face roller helped me a lot in boosting collagen. I do notice that my jawline is much better. Hoping that this continues!!
Just tried the witch hazel toner on arm pit & hair bun hack. Works amazing! Thank you for sharing.
I do something similar for mascara as I have very oily eyelids. I put the Milani eyeshadow primer on, followed by a layer of powder. Works every time!
I do that currently but I still get mascara on my eyelids. UghâŠ.
velour puff is a game changer in any powder application..... I use them for several years and they make almost every powder or pressed powder work.
Abbey, I am obsessed with your videos! Thanks for always coming out with useful tips and recommendations!!!!
Thanks for watching đ„°
Love these videos! Thank you for the great content Abbey đ„ł đ„ł â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Stridex pads under the arms is the best refresh. Lasting deodorizing too.
For bronzing, using too dark tinted sunscreens (if you're lighter skinned) is a great hack too.
If youâre really fair, thatâs almost every tinted sunscreen. đ I use the Australian Gold in fair as an all over bronzer, then a lighter tone up cream in the middle of my face. âșïž
Always happy to see that you uploaded â€ïž Your videos are so amazing and informative
I use the caramelized vanilla and macadamia scent mist from SDJ and it is amazing. My boyfriend canât get enough of that scent when I wear it. I actually find it to last long on me but the creams last longer. I have loved everything from that brand!
âïžđâïž Thank you for watching and commenting congratulations you have been selected in my draw đđâšwinners Dm on telegram to claim your prize
I dropped my iPad and ran to try the hair hack immediately. It is LIFE CHANGING. I feel zero pulling or discomfort anywhere unlike when I use a ponytail holder, no matter how careful I am. This is the best beauty hack for me, hands down---thank you SO MUCH for sharing!!!!!đđâ€ïžđâ€ïžđâ€ïž
Awesome video Abby thanks!! Definitely a part 2 pleaseđ
âïžđâïž Thank you for watching and commenting congratulations you have been selected in my draw đđâšwinners Dm on telegram to claim your prize
Ok Iâm i tried the witch hazel thing and it worked. Iâm very impressed and excited to keep using this technique!
Thank you Abbey!!! This was an awesome video! â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Definitely using those last hair hacks!
I have been using the robe curl wrong!! I thought the pieces needed to be smaller when I was wrapping it, but watching you do larger pieces makes me realize I am making it unnecessarily complicated. Thank you for sharing!
Of course!!
It looked like she just braided it
Definitely going to try the armpit hack lol. All of the hacks sound great and I would love to see another hack video.
Loved this would love a part 2 xxx
PART 2 please đ„° excited to test the robe hair hack đ
Hi Abbey â€, A great video while I'm having my dinner. Yes please a part two would be great thank you đ.
Youâre the first person to recommend stick sunscreen on the eyes. I searched for a sunscreen for the eyes that didnât sting or make your eyes blurry. I finally tried CerVe stick spf 50. What a difference, feels so soothing and doesnât run. Good idea. By the way, The hair mist is out of stock, so bummed âčïž love your videos thanks.
Iâm so glad it helped!! Ahhh I saw that but thankfully they have so many other yummy scents!
Omg thank you for the tips that are especially helpful for us oily people đđ„°
For people with acne and oily skin that want a matte sunscreen, i use PanOxyl Oil Control Daily Mattifying Lightweight Facial Moisturizer, SPF 30, Shine Control. its awesome!!
Love your videos! Thanks for doing them!
Loved this video! Thanks Abbey đ
Lmao đ€Ł omg I love the way you said "I'm crazy" after you said you want all of the body fragrance mists on your vanity! đ I relate to that SO much lol too funny.
Love all your videos, yes please to a part 2!!!
I'm super passionate about that Neutrogena mineral stick. Game changer for me. I use it on my eyes every day to prevent burn, but also because I have thicc eyelids and also wear glasses. If I have to wait for my lotion sunscreen to dry down naturally without goobering the insides of my glasses, I have to go without seeing for 20 minutes, which isn't convenient before work (or ever). The stick improves that by 80%. Also, i live in Denver and frequently go to the mountains. The change in altitude means that bottles of sunscreen lotion can explode and make a mess, so they need to be carried in an extra ziplock. Now, I apply my fav sunscreen at home, and take the stick to the mountains for re-ups with no fear of mess. This is also my fav to throw in my purse for reapplication on the go for every day. Not my first choice sunscreen ever, but very useful nonetheless. Love it.
Great tips! Gotta try the witch hazel!!
Just stepped away from this video for a quick Thayers pit refresh...đđ»ââïžđ I'm loving this!! đđ»
âïžđâïž Thank you for watching and commenting congratulations you have been selected in my draw đđâšwinners Dm on telegram to claim your prize.
Love your video! The KVD bronzer looks beautiful in this video on you! Which shade is it? Thanks đ
I do the same bun trick, usually while Iâm doing my makeup. đ
If I'm understanding the rope tie hack, I'm pretty sure it's just braiding it into your hair as one of the strands w no further gathered hair
Yes plz part 2! Ty
Hello Abbey. Im 34 years old and have been usingTretinoin for 17 years. I am in a child free marriage so never had a reason to stop. When I first started Tretinoin I went about it just like you did. I had this slow progression of sensitivity from foundation with fragrance to later sunscreen. It was only after a while I found out that the strength is not for me, some people never build a tolerance to Tretinoin to its highest potency and it will cause adverse effect as dermatitis continues to progress. I lowered the strength and I was no longer sensitive to anything yet still had top results. I am also not the only one who went through that, a youtube Jennifer Myers also in her 30's with over a decade experience with tretinoin has similar insight. Anyway, thought I'd share its worth a thought. Love youre channel, thank you.
So interesting how that happens!!! Glad you found a solve đ
Awesome đ and I am now a follower. Thank you for this opportunity to get the help thatâs available to all ladies and men.†youâre a beautiful sweetheart!
That bun hack đł. I have been trying to find the least damaging way to wear my hair up for ages. This is perfect đ. Thank you
What tan are you using in this itâs so gorg!! And thank u for the review was so helpful xx
You can you things like strider, or clearsil acne face wipes this works great as well. I think itâs the acids that kills the odor making bacteria.
All excellent suggestions very clearly described and explained. Love it!!!
Love your videos! Which shade are you using in the KVD good apple foundation balm? I have a similar skin tone and love the color.
What shade in the KVD apple foundation did you use!? It sounds perfect for a cream bronzer and I've been wanting to try!
Great info! Lume stick deodorant is the best, you'll never need to refresh! (They have soap too.)
was just looking to see if you'd uploaded yet! love watching your channel
For smelly hair and in between washes, I use AG Remedy Spray. Its expensive but it stops the itch and is a fresh scent. I stopped using dry shampoo and my scalp balanced out. Also the mane choice makes a scalp spray that has prickly pear in it that smells divine!
Thatâs such a great product!!
Iâve been using your high bun clip trick for months since I saw your video a while ago on IG I think when you talked about that. Iâve been doing it almost every day
Thank you for the mascara smudge-proof hack đđŒđ that is something Iâve been struggling with so much in the summer!
âïžđâïž Thank you for watching and commenting congratulations you have been selected in my draw đđâšwinners Dm on telegram to claim your prize
Love your content Abbey! đ
Hey loved all of these going to try the rope on my medium length hair definitely great video thanks
That high bun trick!!! That will be a lifesaver. My hair is up 95% of the time.
For oily skin, after applying sunscreen, use a small piece of parchment paper and pat your face with it, cheap and effective way to get rid of the extra oil.
Bun twists are useful for high buns too! They're better for tighter buns and there's a learning curve, I think, but the benefit is that the twist(s) disappear into the hair.
Abbey -- my hair is MUCH shorter than yours (4" below shoulders) with more layers, and the bun, claw hack works perfectly. Thank you!!
Very clever. I'm really interested to try the hack of using foundation or some other product with a large shade range as bronzer. I just subscribed.
Can't wait to try the witch hazel! I have a whole bottle that I never use.
âïžđâïž Thank you for watching and commenting congratulations you have been selected in my draw đđâšwinners Dm on telegram to claim your prize.
Totally going to try the witch hazel hack
Love this video soo much. What lipstick are you wearing? Itâs amazing
Love this video, keep all 'hacks' coming. I only watch UT, so not up on hacks!
The. Sol de Janeiro Fragrance Mist: has gone up in price to 35.00 a bottle. Prices are so crazy at this point that I think waiting for them to come down might be better. Hopefully, all prices will come down again one day soon.
I do the exact same thing for my hair high bun. I just cut my hair short and I can still do it!
For the high bun, have you given âspin pinsâ a try? They achieve the same benefit, but you canât see the them. They supposedly replace about 20 Bobby pins. Since you have long hair, youâll want a longer spin pin
Love all the tips đ„° what self tanner are you wearing in this video??
Yes I want part two I did see this before see this before but your demonstration was very very good almost an engineering feat love this video
Love the hacks. Robe tie hack is super old. Thank you!
Yess pt 2 please!
I appreciate âOh my Gosh â Thank you!
I canât wear shadow because of autoimmune dry eyes. However, I use a tiny bit of my setting powder just above the lash line. Does the same thing for mascara as using shadow and no irritation throughout the day. đ€
You are so knowledgeable. Thank you for sharing the hacks.
Love the bun hack!
Good tip about the witch hazel
Yes! Part 2
Great tips, Abbey! Thank you!
âïžđâïž Thank you for watching and commenting congratulations you have been selected in my draw đđâšwinners Dm on telegram to claim your prize.
Would like to know of a face suncrean - for top ups during the day over makeup (that won't move the makeup and not be oily or shimmery)
Love these hacks! Thanks so much!!!
Heyyyy!!! Your skin is growing!!
Hi Abbey! I started tretinoin about 6 months ago thanks to your videos :) I am dying to know what you do for eyebrow shaping?? As I understand it, while using tret or retinol we can only do threading or plucking, is that correct? I always waxed before so I would love to know what you do!
Stop tretinoin for 7 days before wax, or pluck
Do you think the Tigi wax stick would work for curly hair frizz?
