ps: Martin, if you ever see this, I want to share the story of why I know *the wedding of Martin & Gina was broadcast on Thursday, May 18, 1995, at 8pm EDT.* 😁
I was pregnant and a little overdue. On May 17, 1995, I went into labor with my youngest son and while waiting to be picked up and taken to the hospital, I set my tape (VCR days 👵) to record *Martin* because him and Gina were finally getting married. Labor took forever, and the next day, May 18th at 6pm, I gave birth to my son. I was hoping to watch the wedding in the hospital, but missed it (for obvious reasons). When we got home a day later, I discovered there had been a power outage and the VCR didn't record the wedding 😫! For some reason, even in reruns, they would never show that episode, so it was almost 10 years later when DVDs of the series came out, that I bought the box set, and sat down with my son to watch that wedding episode. It was glorious. *Thank you, Martin Lawrence!! Even with this Hollywood Walk of Fame accolade, I wonder if you know how loved you are, and what a positive blessing you have been to this world. I had "You So Crazy" on cassette and I listened to it over and over. I rented it on VHS several times as well so I memorized the entire thing. Martin doesn't get the respect from this new generation but he was the man when I was a kid. And whenever he played along side Eddie Murphy in movies he had to gain extra wait because Eddie didn't want Martin looking better than him.
