DIY: Chamberlain Garage Door Opener Battery Replacement

10 year-old Chamberlain Garage Door Opener requires new backup battery. Purchased replacement from Amazon.com. Installation requires some light soldering.

Thanks for your compliment. Thanks for pointing out the lighting as well. Yeah most of the garages are not well lit and the strong spot light would cause lots of glares. I will keep using proper lighting in my future videos. Thanks again!

What is the model no of the garage door opener? I have Chamberlain HD800D. Would that battery fit?

Is there anyway to replace it without soldering?

Depends on the connector. The new battery's connector can be connected without soldering if the wires have female connector built in. My old battery has wires soldered so I did not have chance to skip soldering. You don't need to use heat-shrink tube and use electrical tape instead.
