  • August 17, 2023 - The Carol Lynn Fuller Foundation, named to remember Decatur resident and artist Carol Fuller, was founded by her husband Robert after she passed away in October 2022. The Foundation honors her legacy and funds future brain cancer research.
Starting in 2023, thousands of dollars have been raised through the sale of Carol’s artwork, created throughout her life. Today, Robert and his Foundation made a $10,000 donation to the Northwestern School of Medicine’s Lou & Jean Malnati Brain Tumor Institute to fund research on Glioblastoma Multiforme tumors. The Institute’s Co-Director, Roger Stupp, MD, and his team came to Decatur to receive the donation.
Robert plans to open an online store of Carol’s pieces and host future remembrance events, with all funds being donated to research at Northwestern and other Midwest tumor research centers.

Carol was my wife and a remarkable person. If the only thing I can do is raise some money for brain cancer research then that is what I will be doing. I am hoping to reach out to other people who have been impacted by GBM and see if they want to join in on my efforts. Now Decatur did a wonderful job in this presentation. I can not thank Brandon and Lindsay enough.
