I never in a million years thought I’d shed a few tears during *this* song. I’ve always loved it because it’s the life blueprint he’s held in his heart, but as you pointed out, the kindness he’s shown others on the way up is also what he spoke of during his daydreams. How many of us can say that? 💜

Definitely a lot of Reggae/Ska influence in Ren's music. And totally agree that Ren inspires a feeling of community, and lifting people up. He can't even do a diss track without spreading love and community. 🤣

For me, the Love Musics are like children: It's not really that I love one more than another, I love them for different reasons. They each have their own personality and there are things to love about each.

Definitely a goto track for lifting the spirits. Ren has a track for every emotion/mood/situation.
"A genre it starts with an S...maybe?" You thinking about Ska, brother? That's probably the bag I'd put it in. I love that even in such a fast-paced, upbeat, moving track, Ren is still able to say what he means, make it mean SOMETHING, and it's not just a throw away lyric. Nothing is a throw away with this man. Everything is put in the song on purpose for a reason. And I like that in music! I feel like the artist respects me enough to give it to me and know I'll get everything there.
With the help of Ren I have recently rediscovered my love for music. I love Ren for doing that to me.

I don't think any of the Love Music tracks are better than each other - Part 1 represents Ren as a person best I feel. Part 2 is the best for him having fun with it. Part 3 is probably the best for him flexing. All 3 are pure fire and pure fun. Can't wait to see how Part 4 comes out. You got this song 100% dude, you got the vibe straight away. Your examples of RENs bars are perfect, they are understated. All the love music parts are just brilliant. Love music 4 releasing soon. But imagine that Ren, has always tried to lift people up and telling us to do the same. Ren has said that when he performs with others he tries to showcase them. And you can see this with busking, and his calibrations😮. We love how passionate you are with regards to your videography and your insight. 😘😘😘😘

This song makes me think if my early teens when I started loving my own choices of music (not my parents') and the way a song could move me to tears or laughter.
Absolute joy in music. It hits a spot that nothing else can. It can touch my body, my brain, my heart and my soul. It can take me back to a perfect day spent on the beach with my best friends when I felt safe and joyous and it can make me hopeful for the future. It can make me feel strong. And occasionally, it can cut through my chest and touch my soul and change it.
This is the gift that artists have.

This type of song reminds me of the golden age of Musical Films, like 'Singin' in the Rain' and 'Guys and Dolls'. The song is full of colour, has a catchy swing to it and is just full of fun.
I could totally see Ren directing musical theatre or a musical film akin to Damon Albarn.

This would be defined as Ska, much as early No Doubt. Reggae and swing influenced, heavier drums and brass. There are so many songs about how music brings us up. The Kinks, Rush, the Stones...Ren's among good company.

The genre you are looking for, Joe, is probably ska music which was very popular in Britain in the late 70s and early 80s with bands like The Specials and Madness.

The Welsh (comedy hip hop) group Goldie Looking Chain called their first properly released album Greatest Hits.
They had previously released 6 self produced albums, which had fairly localized reach (though as a tween/teen in Wales Ren might well have known of them).
Greatest Hits did include some of their songs from previous albums, but also new music.
The name was also a play on their stoner personas.

@Joe E Sparks Love Music part 1 was a Trivmcj The Fox track and there is a version with video of them performing it. Kind of a pity you didn't find that one first.
He had already written this song by 2010, and possibly before, so no more than 20. This "lifting people up" ethos goes WAY back in his character, before he got sick. For future reference, Love Music 2 was written around 2015, in the thick of his illness, and LM3 was written during pandemic lockdowns in 2020.

REN has a mega reggae/ska side, it’s big over here in the UK. The Specials who are a massive ska band are from Coventry where I live. Most of the UK is a massive melting pot of different cultures and backgrounds. I love it! 🖤
