I literally got 5 different and new shinies yesterday (the most shinies i’ve ever gotten in one day) so i’d say this event was definitely better than go fest😁😁
The most I've caught in one day was 147

well, i was at university the whole day
I think had I been home with dozens of pokestops it would have been great but I was in a remote area on the coast and with only 15 pokestops, I only had a few chances to get one of the shinies and ended up with one shiny Shieldon. The spawns were almost non-existent so no shinies in the wild and we only saw 4 of Tyrant and Amaura each over the full event. My sympathies for those in remote areas who basically get screwed in all these events.
I was busy so I only did two research tasks and from those I got both shiny cranidos and shieldon back to back

Managed to get myself two shinny shieldon and cranidos. Am I the only one that loves to hunt for more than one shiny of the same species to be able to have all of their evolutions as a shiny?😂

Yesterday was such a cool event. I caught two shiny cranidos, 6 shieldon, and event a random shiny shadow drowzee lol.
I got 3 on go fest and 18 on Sunday 😀

I actually was unlucky enough to get no shinies during research day. However, I got my first shundo(aerodactyl) from adventure week so yay.
I got a shiny omanyte all adventure week and no shinies on research day. I did at least 25 research quests

I got 1 shiny from a egg and one wild omanyte. I got no shinys from any research tasks this was the worst event for me and I played for all 4 hours
The research tasks were great, the background graphics were great...
I'm glad most of the trainers caught a lot of shinies...I came away with one shiny Cranidos and one shiny Kanto Diglett.

SeaWorld san Diego was a Jackpot there were lots of Pokestops and 6 gyms.
I was in Disney land today and weirdly the lines couldn’t reach the stops much so I never really got much done, got a couple shinys tho
Great Event! Completed shiny Shieldon family (got 3), first shiny Cranidos (got 8), and first shiny Omanyte! Total of 3 more than I got on GO Fest wkend. They need to put some guaranteed shinies in the Special Research encounters on big events like that. Only thing, I wish they would have allowed more gift opening. Locking Pokemon in 7km eggs and then limiting how many you can get was a drag. Hatched as many as I could - no shiny Archen or Tirtouga for me either. :)
Aurorus the evo of amoura is one of my fav Pokemon and I sadly didn't get a single amoura or Aurorus
Shundo Cranidos for me yesterday. 12 shinies in total, 5 different species
I really enjoyed the event using research tasks as shiny checks. So many of us got out and played. And I’m lucky enough to live in a suburb that allowed us to play almost the whole time. We ran out of pokestops with 30 minutes left. By the time we drove over to the next city, we wouldn’t of had much time to play so we just called it. But it was so fun. I think I walked away with 8 Cranidos, 3 Shieldon, 1 lileep and 1 hundo hitmonlee. I hope we get more events like this!

The first 3 field research challenges I completed yesterday gave me 2 shiny shieldon and 1 shiny cranidos
20 shinies. 2 of which were shundo Cranidoes. To make it even crazier, it was within 5 min. For me as a newer player Go fest were funnier because of more diffrent shiny pokemons. But in pure value yesterday were better

lol I got a “shindy-six” Cranidos as well as a non-shiny Hundo during my trek. Got some decent 3 star shiny Shieldons as well. I also caught a wild Bronzor (so I can now evolve one) caught my first ever 2!! shiny Omanytes, plus my 2nd shiny Groudon from a remote raid. AND I hatched a shiny Exeggute and shiny Skarmory. This week-long event was at least on-par with go fest!
I missed the whole darn event 🥲 I had to babysit my cousin 😔 I even live in Santa Monica.

5 shinies total- Main got shiny shieldon and shiny cranidos, plus a surprise shiny unown F from a random raid invite. Alt account got 2 shiny cranidos. For playing the whole event and catching (nearly) everything in sight this is an average haul for me. Wow that some people walked away with even more!
I got 7 shinies. 4 shieldons and 3 cranidos. The last shieldon was a frigging shundo though pretty sick grab to finish the event 👌

I had thought Archen and Tirtuga were supposed to be in the field research; because cranidos and shieldon were in the wild outside of the 4 hour event.
They were available in special research tasks during the week. They weren't available during the Shieldon/Cranidos event. You could catch them from Earn 3 Candies With Your Buddy or Hatch 4 Eggs.

Thank you for being a voice for the community and standing up for us for such a terribly designed event that cost money. They don't seem to listen to us but I truly hope they listen to you
I got like 9 shiny craniados and 2 shiny shieldon, i kinda wanted shieldon more since I wanted a good bastiodon for great league
Got my first shiny Cranidos in the wild on 7/23/21. 3 star IV too.
got 3 cranidos 2 shieldons (not many stops near me, did 43 research tasks) got a shiny diglett and aerodactyl from wild spawns
I played for 2-3 hours of it and got a few each of shiny cranidos and shieldon, and tonnes of 3 stars of both, also a shiny roselia, my fave a shiny omanyte, a 4iv pupitar and tonnes of kabuto/omanyte, a couple of 3 star aerodactyls, hatched a shiny wynaut, unknown from a raid, all round pretty good for the time spent
I got 36 from go fest weekend and 13 from the research day. Got like 6 new ones from yesterday.

As a rural player I miss the limited research where we weren’t limited by the number of pokestops
My GF got a shundo craniados and shiny shieldon in the field research day task. And two shiny Aerodactyl during the regular event. She barely did any research and I did like 30 and got 0 shinies. For the regular event I did get shiny Kabuto. Oddly enough I got my second shadow shiny Hypno from Sierra yesterday and my first was during GoFest 2022 so really lucky there.

This event was better than go fest for me, I got 5 shinies during go fest and 6 during this one, 3 Shiny Shieldon, a shiny diglet, a shiny Onix, and a shiny Omnyate, I also got a Hundo Treecko.
I didn't get to play the research day too much, but I did get the Shiny Sheldon. I really wanted the Shiny Cranados...

I got three shiny shieldon and two cranidos, and out of the blue a shiny cubshoo for some reason
A couple weeks ago I put down an inscense and got a shiny crainados, it was not an event or community day
Is there any more unlock events or was this one the only one
I ended up with 16 shinies, 8 of which were Shieldon, and the second one I got was a shundo. Other than that, I got 3 shiny Cranidos, 2 shiny Onix, and a shiny Lileep, Omanyte, and somehow a Galarian Stunfisk. That's two more shinies in 4 hours than I got during the 16 hours of Go Fest.
I got 5 shiny cranidos and 5 shiny sheildon + hatched a shiny yungoose and got a shiny groudon as well great event for me

I didnt get any because with so little pokestops in my area I couldn't get field research, luckily I hatched a shiny cranidos on sandshrew com day, and it's my favorite shiny in the game.

During those 4 hours, I got 2 Shiny shieldon and 1 Shiny Omanyte. And as someone who got 9 shinies during this go fest and most of them are some I don’t really like (only ones I like were 2 Rufflet and 1 Meditite) I liked this event better than Go Fest
I am so happy with this research day I finished with 15 shinies and I got a Shundo shieldon which is my first ever Shundo!!!
