- After installing the Backbox delete on the BMW 318D, I decided to make the E90 Louder by installing a resonator delete. I was really impressed with the sound considering the car being a Diesel.

Selam bro, I have 2014 A6 Black Ed. Ultra 2.0TDI just wondering if I do resonator delete would it throw any engine light on dashboard and would it effect engine efficiency? Cheers
It shouldn't be buddy. Only when messing with the DPF then that can risk the engine light to illuminate.

Hi bro, I’ve got an 320d. Will a resonator delete and muffler delete sound rubbish or decent?. I’ve read that resonator and muffler deletes make 320d sound rough. Thanks.
resonator delete will let through lower bass sounds, but muffler delete will make it louder. long story short, if you want a bassy sound get a resonator delete.. if you want a louder sound (popping and cracking and higher tone revs, you get a muffler delete) in my opinion, both together on a stock car sounds like a fart cannon

As long as you do a backbox delete aswell it will improve the sound but with diesels from my experience at present that its not as loud as it would sound if it was petrol. Will defo change the sound sportier tho

Hey, first of all you really should check to see if the car you are interested in buying has a complete service history. That is most important as it will tell you how the car was cared for and what was done to it. Oil changes are very important also. Overall, visual inspection of bodywork and tyres and ensuring all tyres are the same branding as this shows how much the car has been looked after. I would search this up on CZcams, there should be videos out there going into full detail. All the best buddy! :)
Shannon Sharpe my dad had one and they have a couple common issues. The differential can start making some whining noises so watch out for that. The valve cover seal can start leaking and you should be able to see oil either on the splash guard below the engine or near the top where the valve seal is. It would be good to ask if these have been done. As far as I’m aware these are the most common issues.

This video is just backbox and res delete, I later did get the DPF delete and it sounded insane for a 318d! You can check that out in my other videos

Just thinking what the sound would be like if you took out the resonator only.
I wouldn't think it would make much of a difference tbh as my E90 is a diesel. Only started to sound good with backbox and res delete. But with dpf delete I can imagine it sounding so much nicer
@@BIGHUS ah I see. I’m trying to do a muffler delete on a 2 litre petrol. Guess I’ll have to wait and see how it sounds. My loud could be another’s low. Hopefully I get rumbling sound I’m aiming for.
turn off dtc when you rev the engine ;) then you can rev it to 4900 rpm :D
Does this have a dpf? I have a 59 plate 320d and want to remove the dpf and do exhaust mods, but I'm worried I'll leave a cloud of black smoke behind me! What do you think?
B. Yes I still have the dpf on. I am also looking into removing the dpf but can be possible leaving black smoke behind. I would look into it in detail before I do anything.
@@BIGHUS You have the M47 engine which doesn't have dpf
s t I believe some M47 engines do have it ordered as an option but need to look into it.

i have a 328d and im not sure if its worth removing the muffler, what do u think??
I would say its worth it if you do resonator delete too, my muffler delete only made a slight difference but since I got full straight pipe sounds like a beast
